Technically the Eagle is the macdaddy of cold war 4th gen fighters. It was designed to cross the atlantic without refueling, if they needed to cross for whatever reason and head over to Europe. It was designed to be the mig/su killer... That being said all of these planes (F15C, M2000C, F18C) are all still in service by nations. so there is some kind of current realism to it. I'm wondering if the current M2000s used by nations like HAF and etc can operate Fox 3 missiles? I know we won't get them, but I'm just curious.

I'm sure the US can load France some 120Cs... otherwise, yeah it's pretty hard lol.

That was cool to watch! So I flew enough today to make sense of few systems to get me in an online server... Well, My tactics blow because F15s kept having me for lunch. They would shoot pair of 120Cs at me, and I kept getting my ass whooped. They were doing it with a soft lock as well (never fly red usually, so I don't know how they act when you're the one eating them) cuz I wouldn't know a missile was coming until it went pitbull on me. I feel bad for our real life enemies who have to face a 120C (or the newer 120D)... lol I couldn't even get close enough to take the shot. It will be interesting with the F14 where there will be no 120 either... I probably need to change my skills and fly low with radar aimed up instead of at 25K looking for stuff to blow up lol. That being said, i added the eclair and programmed the panic buttons for CMs... I had it on auto and man, but could not get them to dispense... in the instant action, as long as it was on, I was able to dispense... what gives? and does the PCM for the jammer work?

you don't have A10!??!!? def that. it's the most complete airplane made for this sim... you need it!

Well guys, I got the M2000... Lot of learnig curve, it's neither like the russian or the us planes... I did some of the training and there were bugs (like the a2a combat would not go further after I dropped fuel tank and switched off a2a limiter) and no take off mission to show me when to rotate etc. also the training missions are made with french cockpit in mind when I had already switched to english. I will go over chuck's guide tomorrow see if that helps. plane is very agile though. reminds me of a high tech F5 with more power.

Well... They retired the F14 for favor of F18.. I'm just saying :) (ok, it's the E variant but still lol)

DCS: F-16CM Block 50 by EDSA Discussion Thread
razorseal replied to NineLine's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
oh man, I remember these!!! that was really 2008!?!? Feels more like 2013 lol -
Pretty bummed, I have 26 bucks in bonus points. Just realized it doesn't work as I thought (bonus points to use at my discretion)... Apparently I can only apply 30% to cost of module, and only on non sale products... Considering I now just wait to buy modules when they go on sale, I have 26 bucks of bonus points I'll never use... I was going to say screw it and buy both. Now I really have to choose. BUMMER lol leaning towards M2 btw. There seems to be a midlife upgrade coming to it.
-
To work around this, Could you just hit the button right as it reaches 0?
-
ahhh ok, gotcha! I've been reading that midlife upgrade post. Pretty interesting stuff. I'm curious how that'll turn out.
-
Did this ever happen guys?
-
Well I'm glad they are doing that. I think I'm going to do the M2 for my purchase. Thanks! I don't know about the 120 or whatever else is out there, guess I got learning to do lol

Has it been brought up for them to fix it? What do they say? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Only thing is how do I set left and right rudder? Axis only show rudder, center being 0 and left right -50 and +50 With a pedal it will be 0 to 100, so. It will need left and right side Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Just wondering why some of these bugs still haven't been fixed. This is now a 3 year old module? if the TWS bug has been known for a while (what does the bug do? crash radar? game? no return?) I think I'm going to get the M2 just because it will fit my play style more, but those are the things I was concerned about. I know mig is alot of fun to fly from what others have told me, and is considered a final and complete product

I don't have a VR (told the wife I need one for my bday in few months, so I better get it lmao) but I have a high end rig (i7 8700k with 1080ti which was sli until I couldn't remedy overheating problems) and I think it'll be enough for acceptable performance on a VR headset. My biggest problem with Track IR is that it's hard to dogfight with it. I'm in a Obutto racing cockpit with a 49 inch curved monitor so it's a pretty nice setup, however when I'm dogfigthing I can't really track anyone I'm figthing. It's hard to look directly up which is the most important spot. or look down into your cockpit... It really kills the immersion. I'm hoping the VR will make it better I also heard formation flying and a2a refuel is much easier.

The Motion Integrated G-Seat
razorseal replied to Bergison's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Very cool! But sounds very expensive... If parts only cost you 1500 euros, by the time there is commission to be made etc, you're looking at a 2000 USD plus seat. Whether that's a bargain or not in the world of moving sim seats, that's out of reach for most of us I think. just my humble opinion. What a great concept though! -
Hey guys, I have a real nice set of fanatec elite pedals on my flight rig.. I do play racing sims sometimes, and I'd hate to constantly switch pedals as I have an obutto cockpit and these things are bolted down to the rig... is there a way I can setup the racing pedals to work as rudder? perhaps the clutch and the gas pedal? This is what I have...

Hey guys, with the current sale, I'm going to be getting a new plane to fly around... That being said I'm torn between the Mig21 and the M2000c. they are both planes I've been wanting to get and just waiting on a sale... I have a thread/poll about what I want to get, this isn't about that. This post is about the current state and future of the M2c. I've read stuff here and youtube comments (primarily on Mig19 video comments) that was bashing razbam about never finishing the m2 and leaving the customers with an unfinished plane. What is unfinished on this plane? I see so many people flying it, but what isn't done on this plane that takes the fun out of flying? I just heard that for BVR figthing, you must STT (kinda like hornet right now) and no TWS soft locks etc, what else is there? Something wrong with BFM? avionics too basic and no complete? What is it? Why are people bitching? from what I understand the Mig 21 is pretty much finished and complete. I don't want to get a module that is forgotten... I see they have a roadmap up there for somethings they are going to do. I hope they do... anyways, can someone give me some insight on this before I spend my 30 bucks?

I'm gonna be honest... I'm not too good with planes that are unforgiving (no FBW etc). I don't currently have rudders, and the twist joystick thing doesn't work too well, so I stall these planes often. I love the WWII stuff, but I'm so horrible with them for 2 reasons 1. my track IR stops tracking when I look directly up (I had the headset accessory which broke twice, so I don't wanna get it again) 2. No rudder so there are some movements that is not easy for me to do. I need to get a rudder before I get in to F14 lol. That being said, I love challenging older planes, which is why I'm leaning towards the Mig, but I do know that the M2 will be easier to fly for me, which will be rewarding. I also prefer turn and burn vs boom and zoom, and I know that the mig is not a turn and burn plane, but the M2 is (correct me if I'm wrong)

Mig 21 running strong! Come on peeps! I want to buy something tonight or this weekend LOL
-
Help me out guys! Sale time means new aircraft for me. I've been eyeing the Mig-21 and the M2000... Help me decide!!!! if you ask, what I'm looking for? Well... something fun to fly! lol I do all sorts of missions and enjoy both eras, really just looking for something fun. I've heard the M2000 is still not complete (like no TWS and RAZBAM sorta gave up on it) so that deters me, but that's just what I read on youtube comments and here etc. I remember Mig21 as one of the 1st third party planes to DCS, so it might be bit aged and not upto par? Mig19 would be fun too, but that's not here yet, plus I'll be waiting for a 50% on that one which I think will be a while.
