  1. create a mission where you're neutral, start it, go to payload and browse through them. In user files I posted a screenshot gallery of ALL liveries available by default. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/147354-dcs-f-5e-tiger-ii-skin-contest/?do=findComment&comment=5293862
  2. FYI, you can take the canopy DDS file and use it with any mod or stock cockpit textures.
  3. Yoo, @NineLinewwhatever you have going on for the F-5E apparently you're not going to be enumerated for it
  4. @Bcamel1 and @Deadmand Both, the MIL font and the Gordon one are too narrow. Yesterday evening I did a font id session but I didn't know you'd be such a fireball and I don't have the names at hand. One was similar to Futura something (20th century something) and the other was one of the Gothic fonts. The most distinguishing features of the F-5 font are very round O, C, G, R letters, technical writing numerals. What software do you use @Bcamel1m? Do you do the labels within the modeling software or do you import them from e.g. Inkscape? As for the walkaround video it's more of general use for the purpose of this topic as the F-5 is completely stripped of avionics, with bare DZUS rails.

  6. I've been staring at it for a long time and still don't know which part of the cockpit is this. Any hints?
  7. & @rubylight What fonts did you guys use? Isn't it the correct one? It seems too narrow to me. Especially evident by letters C and G. The DCS texture for comparison
  8. That would have overshadowed the 2.9 release for me personally! Not the clouds maybe but 2.9, for sure
  9. Why do women close their eyes during sex? Because they can't stand, for a second, seeing a man having a good time. Now... This is how wife sees you in your simpit. Imagine the ordeal meme DCS simpit obi one wan aLwGpk5P_700wv_0.mp4

  11. Holly molly! That's a huge chunk of history. Thank you for sharing. I wish you did a walkaround through all the major milestones of your career as a trip video with interviews I'm kiiind of, little bit involved with electronics component obsolescence right now.
  12. I might check it out one day. RTX 2070. There's suspiciously little info 9n what it actually does.
  13. For a draft profile with 0.6 nozzle...
  14. Wow, thank you for the comprehensive answer. In my mind the only thing composition of solder influences is the degree of ease of soldering. The total inability to solder to the slightest degree boggled my mind with that Ethernet cable! You had an interesting career. May I ask in which direction you moved afterwards? In the subject of soldering, just yesterday I also managed to crack an SMD thermistor at the bottom of my 3D printer. One day after finishing an overhaul and re-calibration It's stuck at 50kOhm and the printer thinks it's -50 deg C.
  15. I know, I know. But I'm curious what's so special about the wires. I'd accept difficulties. Hey, they might be chineesium steel or something. But for not a single drop of solder fusing... I simply must know why. And yes, im putting a handful of Ethernet connectors in my next electronics order. A box of audio mini jacks and Ethernet connectors is a must nowadays.
  16. Recently I needed a crossover on the double. So I proceeded with cutting a cable and re-soldering. Try imagining my face during the attempt I'm a fixeverything guy, I've been soldering this and that for years, from audio jacks to some PCB repairs even. But this... THIS! After an hour I failed to establish a single fusing of solder with any of the wires. Literally! I'm using this solder [https://www.cynel.com.pl/en/products/117-pb60sn40-sw26](https://www.cynel.com.pl/en/products/117-pb60sn40-sw26) It has flux in it. I even used additional liquid flux, various temperatures from 360 to 420. Not a single piece of solder tinned a wire. The strands of the wires were silver in color. Any thoughts? Is there something mysterious about Ethernet cables in general as far as soldering is concerned?
  17. Thank you for your offer. If you could provide a variant with a 5 mm round hole, as well as a variant with no hole, that would be great. Just the variant with a 5mm hole if you're short on time. As for the Warthog Project, I haven't found a single STL file in the download library (Google Drive).
  18. The Warthog project uses the knob in question but I can't find any STL files for it. I recently printed a 3D Benchy model and lit it up. It turns almost white-translucent. Close to perfect. So I'd obviously like to test the filament out on the knob. https://thewarthogproject.com/downloads
  19. Thanks for sharing! I tried finding the transparent round landing gear knob on https://thewarthogproject.com/downloads but I only see panel files (dxf, pdf) in there. Am I missing something.
  20. Dude. I've got a scrapheap cheapo printer I barely resuscitated. It's PLA for me or nothing
  21. I've just realized I'm running out of the semi-transparent filament. I don't like it and I don't plan on buying transparent filaments ever again so I thought maybe I could put the reminder of it to good use. Do you guys have any ideas on semi-transparent controls found in century series US aircraft? F-4, F-5E... I'd start with the landing gear knob but I only found a cylindrical version. At least on thingiverse. Does anyone have a more round shaped model?
  22. Good news and bad news. The good news is the work is proceeding. The legs for the base turned out perfect, joints so tight I get a BOING! when I hit it. Note to self: reclaimed wood is a waste of time. As for the 3D no-name printer I treated it to an overhaul. I detected a sneaky malfunction, replaced the bearings and fixed a 1 mm dip in the bed. No wonder leveling was inconsistent. The bad news is that despite all my efforts I did find a job. All the consequences with regard to the "simpit time" are given, naturally.
  23. How is that possible?! The switch is not cheap. Is it a mechanical or an electrical problem within the switch?
