The RL Su-25 has no HUD just the small deflector glass sight for aiming weapons, Lockon is correct. The Su-25T and TM has a full HUD RL.

I find it strange that ED can model the avonics of the Ka-50 so well even though it is still not in service. I know Kamov are actively pushing it at the Russian airforce even though they prefare the Mi-28N.

IIRC it's to do with the missile only having one turning actuator because of the missile's small size. It can only turn in the same direction to correct it's flight path andd thus needs to be constantly corrected and ends up in a spiral.

Saw this picture of a Su-27/30x cockpit. The radar screen is upgraded to a MFD and it has what looks like a weapons controller on the right console. I know this has nothing to do with the former Su-37 test bed and it looks like a one off type of modification, anyone know more about this?

Something to do with your ATi card or drivers. I'd suggest trying the 6.2s, if not try a fresh reinstall, 1.00/1-1.1-1.12a. Which ATI card to you have? Delete all file in the Lockon directory from your system if you have to do a reinstall.

You were right *DEEC, my bad.

The DEEC was brought in with the -220 engine on the C/D and early Es before they got the -229s. There was a lot of problems with -100 engines because the old engine management system was too slow to handle aggressive pilot inputs and led to many flame outs, compressor stalls, fan blade failures and after burner ignition problems, the latter of which cause the loss of the first F-15. The DEEC has fixed all that and pilots no longer have to be careful with throttle inputs. Love the blue AB flame on the -229s.:D

Did some tests, turns out they either don't use their radar or the RWR is not modeled to pick it up . But on another note you can add in the R-77 when it goes active. It comes up as a M inside a diamond enclosed in a circle. NATO name AA-12 Adder.

Speaking of the F-15E, I just got ''Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle All Weather Attack Aircraft'' by Steve Davies on Friday. Good read and good detail on the APG-70 radar air to air modes, HOTAS and great detail into the LANTIRN pods aswell. Good refference book on the Strike Eagle.

I,ve tried that many, many times, in the editor starting at around 500kts at 32,000ft and just leave it in AB and climb slowly to between 35K and 44K for my tests. I tried most of my tests at 36,000ft as that is the altitude that I see listed the most when the max speed of a fighter is achieved. I even tried dropping the temperature to -10oC to get more power form the engines, it made no difference. M 2.5, really now? I have performed many tests and never got above 2.3+ in the F-15. Even is a shallow dive.

NATO code names, eg all Russian fighters NATO code names begin with F, bombers with B and so on. eg I don't think the MiG-29 is known as the Fulcrum in Russia or the Tu-95 ''Bear''. Callsigns are different. Magic is typically an AWACS callsign as you say. But it's not an E-3 Magic.

Just if want to add these for some poor unexpected noob F-15 pilot trying to get a guns kill on the Tu-22M3, Tu-95, Tu-142. The tail radar is the ''Box Tail''. Don't know the TEWS symbol for it though. PS, that noob was me once apon a time, I'll say no more about it. :D

Anyone think it would be a good idea for ED to propose a couple of viable projects they are very keen on doing and take a vote from the community. Kind of like what they did before Lockon. There are people here that would have higher priorities for new F-15/Su-27 models over Tank Killers or vice versa. I know there are many people not to gone on the Ka-50 idea, but will get the addon anyway just for the AFM weapons and other improvements. But one thing will be certain, whatever ED come up with, nothing else will come close to it.

The A-50's NATO radar designation is the Flat Jack. Don't know the others. Oh sorry thats the name of the radar radome of the Tu-126 'Moss'

A 7800GS AGP would be better,( short of having to go all out for PCIe), at around 300Euro. I have the exact same mobo and cpu as you, I'm stuck on the AGP path aswell untill I get some cash to upgrade my whole system, but my 6800GT gets me by ok, for now.

Something has just hit me!. Isn't the K an upgraded G. The K should have a 300lb warhead (136kg) yet Lockon says its warhead is 57kg 125lb. What gives here?

The Su-27SMK is export only version. Like the Su-27SK is the export version of the Su-27S. No one IIRC has ordered a Su-27SMK yet.
