Greetings! I have young kids and therefore unusual flight windows on Weekends at 0500, California time. I'm open to pretty much anything; flying with a squadron, casual flying, carrier ops, training, SEAD, whatever. I am usually on the F-18C, but fly the P-47 to prep for the Corsair and F-14 to prep for the Phantom. Former Marine, so I'm partial to Marine units and aircraft. I have all of the official maps.

We are looking for Veteran DCS Pilots as we build our initial cadre. For our purposes, a Veteran DCS Pilot is defined as a pilot who is proficient in basic airmanship and all of the combat systems of their aircraft. If you meet this requirement, please continue. Air Combat Command is a newly organized Air Force group of dedicated virtual Pilots that are looking for disciplined, humble, persistent, and selfless candidates. We hold ourselves to a high standard in basic airmanship, procedures, tactics, and knowledge. Air Combat Command offers an in-depth, detailed training pipeline to give students (of any skill-level) the best chance of succeeding in our ever-evolving complex missions. We value teamwork over a lone wolf, surviving over killing, following procedures rather than winging it, and assessing every situation with the intention of winning. You will be tested and evaluated at each step in the training pipeline. We are looking for pilots who want to perform at a high level. We will be asking for more than the bare minimum from each member, in and out of the jet. If you want to surround yourself with like-minded individuals who come together as a team, this is the place for you. Current airframes open for recruiting: F-16C, F-15E, A-10CII, C-130, HH-60 Please message me with any questions you may have and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Training Mission 05 AJS37 Training Visual Landing modified
djacd posted a topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Hello, I've modified the Visual landing training mission for anyone who wishes. CHANGES: Added voice over - instead of reading the instructions. (English only) Modified the text instruction slightly for clarity and brevity add a couple of small graphics fixed the error in that you are NOT landing a Kutaisi as stated in the text but Senaki-Kolkhi Minor stuff I know but the speech really helps To install it either load it as a mission or if you have administrator rights, copy it to your eagle dynamics installation folder, c:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\AJS37\Missions\Training\ (or what ever path yours is) If Heatblur wants to add it 'officially' I have zero objections. Enjoy, 05 - AJS37 Training visual landing.miz -
Squadron Training Night We are a Carrier based Milsim group. This squadron operates all available Naval and Marine fixed wing aircraft. The missions we fly on consists of CAP, SEAD, DEAD, CAS, and Anti-ship operations. On training nights we focus on anything that needs improving. On Ops night we put it all together. The goal for us is to learn the in's and out's of our aircraft of choice, down to the emergency procedures. Our end result is for members to be skilled and confident enough to go into a competition setting. [101VFS] Discord - https://discord.gg/rcraQJSZ7T

I originally posted a question to the training subforum thinking it was user error on my end but this looks like a bug after all : I am currently trying to play through the second training mission of the Mirage, specifically 'Introduction to the INS'. I am unable to progress past the point in the mission whereby I am required to overfly the railway bridge to update the INS. The instructions are that I should fly over the target & select 'REC' to initiate the INS update. There are two issues with this : The instructions omit the fact that 'REC' should be followed by 'VAL' to complete the INS update (I found this out through trial and error) Regardless of how close to the mark (or far) following the INS update, the training mission will not progress any further ; the script will not fire even after several attemps or any amount of time. I have had this issue twice in a row now attempting this training mission ; I have been able to overfly the railway bridge multiple times and can confirm that the INS update does indeed work as I am able to purposefully decalibrate it by picking a random spot & hitting 'REC' and I am also able to get the INS to update so that the marker sits virtually on top of the railway bridge but the training script is seemingly broken and/or stuck (perhaps the margin of error for INS alignment in the script is too low).

Hi, Is there a setting where you can turn of the noise of the engines during a tutorial or increase the volume of the narrator? I am sitting quite far from my screen and find it hard to read the text so I'd like to listen to the explanation!

Hello, New to the game, Been doing landings, weapons and just moved (slowly to my first Air to Air missions). And I have (a lot of stupid) questions considering 2 vs 2 fights: - In a head to head, how do you approach? - When to start locking? - How can you switch to target 2 after your rockets are on their way to target 1. - When going head to head, when can you shoot you sidewinder (which one)? - I keep loosing my enemies after we start turning, Can radar show me on the hud where it/they are? - Is there a video on how perform an encounter with 2 vs 2 with sidewinders? - Why does my wingmen never shoots? (ps. what applies to Amraam too)

Hi, I would like to ask the TrueGrit or Heatblur team if we will have when the EF will release next year what I would guess and this year we will get the AI model of the Typhoon , we will get German spoken tutorials where the Instruktor probably Gero will speak to us like their would be speak to their students in the typical manner like in the Luftwaffe, I am myself a IRL glider and GA Pilot and had a lots of ex East German Air Force and Luftwaffen flight instructors one flew the F4 and I always liked their story’s and to fly with them. So it would be great to German tutorials because a lot's of Heatblur EF Pilots I would guess can speak German too and with a German version of the EF it would bring so much realism to the EF !

Hello all, I'm inviting anyone who would like to participate to an AIN ship operations multi-player mission. We are going to run it on Caucasus map with no mods. There will be 4 big ships, super carrier, non super carrier, Tarawa, and Kutz for the flanker pilots. The mission will have active csar/ctld so the helo pilots can do plane guard duty while the jets do flight operations. AIN will have tutors for all the fixed wing, and at least a few of the helicopter models. There will be a few low threat level ground targets so people can practice that as well. We haven't yet set an exact time and date for this training, as we're going to run it several times, and we'll likely leave the server open and without a password while this mission runs. So come out and hop in your favorite aircraft and do some carrier practice. The tacans will work, as will the ICLS so you can even do automatic carrier landings in your tomcat. There will be tankers up with active TACANs and easy comms will be enabled. The mission will be "AIN Ship operations" in multi-player. Here is the link to our discord.https://discord.gg/JuBydbsfDn More information will be forthcoming, and I'll will add to this post. We hope you'll show up regardless of your flight experince level. We'll see you in the skies!

Universal Training mission Summary: Use this mission to practice any module to do almost any task you wish. This mission works best if you have another resource with you to practice with like Chuck's guide, manual or Youtuber of choice. Features: There are ground targets which include soft targets to modern MBTs both stationary and mobile with each their own respective JTACs for using laser guided ordinance without any self-lasing ability. An emitting search radar that can be used to practice employment of any kind of ARM. Naval targets include both stationary and mobile ship targets. Air targets include, a very low and slow flying helicopter drone target. As well as low, medium fixed small fixed wing targets with a large fixed wing target at high altitude. All targets infinitely respawning thanks to scripts. Tankers of every kind (both basket and boom style) as well as a dedicated KC-135 for A-10s (flying lower and slower than the other 2). The mission also includes carriers of all kinds, including Supercarrier and free carriers as well as the Tarawa. Players can start cold-start in either Batumi, on each carrier or on the FARP (for helis, AV-8 and Viggen only). Now features a ski jump ramp on Batumi, located to the north of the runway North of a taxiway. Future features will include sling loading and CTLD for helis. The ability to set up "practice ranges" where you can spawn any target of your choice that can actually shoot back in order to practice employing weapons in a more combat oriented environment. Download links: Cold-start only version: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321331/ Cold-start & hot-start: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321332/ Cold-start only Night version:https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322234/ Cold-start & hot-start Night: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322235/ Any suggestions or bugs especially module specific ones (I don't own everything afterall) please let me know so I can get to fixing them as soon as I can Current Version: V1.05 Changelog: V1.01: Corrected briefing description to show correct JTAC frequency and to fix numbering mistake. V1.02: Added: Link 4 and ACLS to both CVN-71 Theodore Roosevelt (336.0) and CVN-74 John C. Stennis (335.0). Immortality to all tankers and AWACS Map drawing to indicate the border between carrier ops and training area. Night versions of both cold-start only and hot-start missions as separate files. Fixes: Carrier fleet should slow down now if you leave the zone and speed up when getting close to the carrier group V1.03: Fixes: Carrier fleet definitely slows down if you enter the practice area and speeds up with you enter the carrier area. V1.04: Fixes: Corrected Texaco 2-1 (KC-135 at 17,000ft) and Texaco 3-1 (dedicated A-10C tanker at 15,000ft) frequency. Should be 252.000 AM V1.05: Added: Forrestal Link 4 and ACLS = 334 Target drones now self-destruct if they leave the area after being damaged. HMS Invincible HMS Invincible Harrier Spawns Skijump ramp on Batumi (located north of the runway on the taxiway) F1CE Fixes: Carrier group now slows down when flying non-carrier capable aircraft (to prevent the carrier group from running away too much). V1.06: Added: Ka-50III slots 2nd Ski ramp (shallower for any fixed wing other than AV-8) Fixes: Fixed Texaco 2-1 and Texaco 3-1 frequencies to 252.000AM Reworked: Carrier group Removed CVN-71 since it is redundant (CVN-74 now also has Supercarrier features to those that own the module) Adjusted the group's BRC, will now be 306 Repositioned the group and spaced the ships apart more to avoid/minimize confusion (landing on the wrong carrier).

Oktober. Generell finden die Termine am Dienstag und/oder Donnerstag statt. Es ist ratsam mindestens jeden zweiten Termin dabei zu sein. Wie melde ich mich an? Wenn Du schon jetzt weißt, dass du die Zeit & Motivation mitbringst, kannst Du gerne @Papa Saubär#8642 anschreiben. Dieser lädt Dich zum GTAG Discord ein, dort erhälst du anschließend die @Draftee Rolle. Alles weitere erfolgt dort. Bei Fragen, Sorgen, Nöten oder Anträgen könnt ihr ebenfalls @Papa Saubär#8642 anschreiben. Stand: 19.09.2021

RAF Sukhumi - Airbase MOD - puts you right in the heart of a modern day RAF fast jet training base right here in Caucasus Map of DCS World. Sitting on the coastline Sukhumi airfield has been extensively upgraded via VPC MOD to host RAF Hawk T1, RAF F-5E, RAF L-39 and RAF F/A-18C squadrons. Use this mission as a base for training or LAUNCH one of two Low Level Training Sorties with a pair of RAF F-5E’s or Hawk T1 via COMMS F10 MENU. Blast off from a foggy, atmospheric sunrise at RAF Sukhumi in this fast and exciting mission - similar to my earlier Low Level Sortie with RAF Tornado - DCS MISSION The F-5E has been used here in DCS as it is similar to the Bae Hawk T2 which is currently used by the RAF to qualify its fast jet pilots before they move onto frontline squadrons and operate aircraft like the EUROFIGHTER TYPHOON or F-35. Take in the amazing lakes, rivers, valleys and mountains of the Caucasus Map in DCS as you maintain formation in this thrilling and exciting low level flying training mission lead by RAF F-5E fast jet trainers. Point to point, tactical, low level aviation and navigation with real comms from your flight lead as he guides you around this awesome route. Visit the local low level flying area AKA The Kutaisi Loop, a series of tight, winding valleys similar to The Mach Loop training area in the UK. This mission gives you a full and enhanced DCS flying experience and includes ON SCREEN MESSAGES, COMMUNICATION MENU ITEMS and CUSTOM PILOT AUDIO WELCOME TO RAF SUKHUMI - Upgrades include... • Upgraded Tower • Squadron apron and hangars • Squadron aircraft and liveries. • Base support vehicles • Fire station • Visiting Aircraft • Cold War Aviation Museum • BUNDLED PDF with links to MODs/skins & install instructions Available Aircraft Slots (Players) • RAF F-5E - 29 Sqn (x4) • RAF L-29C - 208 Sqn (x2) • RAF F/A-18C - XIII Sqn (x3) Support: Single Player and Multiplayer Easy and fun for beginner and pro alike Mission Time: Around 40 mins FEATURES: - HOT START AIRCRAFT - CUSTOM AUDIO FROM LEAD PILOT (229 AM - Pre-tuned in aircraft) WARNING - AUDIO/ON SCREEN MESSAGES!!! Make sure HELMET AUDIO VOLUME is turned up ON-SCREEN MESSAGES and COMMUNICATIONS MENU (F10) USED THROUGHOUT MISSION!!! Unique to DCAF, we offer our Briefing And Training System(BATS). DCAF members will have a registered account, in which they can access our courses, independently study, be assessed, and track their progress. Additionally, users can view the overall roster of DCAF and view briefing documents for the upcoming weekly operations. As an insight, you can see what training for the pilot looks like(an additional post showing the training scope for controllers will be completed shortly): Having been enrolled to their airframe and registered on BATS, the user will have to complete V1. V1 is the training and assessment course needed to attend our weekly operations as a wingman. Although pilots joining will commit to their aircraft of choice for the duration of their training, DCAF’s training syllabus and SOPs are universalised as much as possible, being based on the principle of airmanship. V1 students will go through the V1 Learning Plan, as shown below: Each section contains lessons, which students are expected to read prior to assessment. Lessons include custom documentation, information and literature about the relevant subject. Once read, the student can contact an instructor of their airframe at any time for clarification, practice, or guidance. Once ready, students can sign up to be assessed in the activity. Instructors are more than happy to help energetic students who want to do more, and students should never feel guilty about chasing up someone to get an instructor slot! Below is a breakdown of each training objective within V1: Flight Familiarisation Flight familiarisation is often what other groups would define as a check-ride in demonstrating basic understanding. For us, we verify familiarity with the cockpit layout, startup, taxi, takeoff, straight and level flight, turns, climbs and descents, climbing and descending turns, steep turns, maintaining AOA in the landing configuration, low speed flight, stall recovery, spin recovery, descent and landing. This also tends to involve basic navigational competency. Visual Circuits Touch and go, touch and go, touch and go. Students will practise the military visual circuit, and the comms necessary to communicate intentions from startup to shutdown. Departures & Arrivals Building on the former, this reinforces understanding, and includes the procedure to leave the Military Aerodrome Traffic Zone, and how to appropriately rejoin it. Formation & AAR Arguably the most difficult part in core piloting skill. Cadets will be instructed and assisted in formation flying with appropriate references to their aircraft, and orderly departures and arrivals. Next, day and night air to air refuelling are on the agenda(!). Preview of one of the AAR graphics. Combat Operations This part starts to become more specific to the airframe. Instructors will teach you the individual weapon systems involved and how to effectively employ them. On completion, you will conduct your combat readiness assessment, to ensure that you meet the requirements as a wingman to take part in ops. Once complete, you have passed V1 and can take part in Thursday operations! After V1: From there, you have additional courses you can take, such as: - V2 – flight lead qualification - V3 – Instructor Pilot Qualification - V3* - Squadron Lead Assimilation - CLO – Counter Land Operations - AWI/BVR – All Weather Intercepts/Beyond Visual Range - BFM – Basic Fighter Manoeuvres - ACM – Air Combat Manoeuvring - CQ – Carrier Qualification - VSTOL Airframe Specific Training: Though the bulk of our training is universalised, there are numerous chapters available for your airframe of choice. These include ground school, SOPs, emergencies, and weapons employment. These are go to guides and instructional points to better adapt DCAF flows with the aircraft of your choice. A preview of some of the lessons one would find in airframe specific(F-14 Pilot Familiarisation) Expectations At the end of the day, the people we’re looking for are those who are keen to learn, and progress. It doesn’t matter where you are starting from, or how new you are to the sim. We have all the time in the world for members who want to actively improve themselves, and take advantage of everything we have to offer. If you’re someone who wants to learn, develop and build on skills to employ the aircraft at the most it has to offer, then our training syllabus and instructors are well positioned to get you there. For us we do this not only because we want more pilots in our ops, but because we take great enjoyment in teaching people. Training commitments are flexible, but you would be best served trying to keep a regular pace of training so you don’t fall back on the training you’ve already achieved. Regular Ops are conducted every Thursday 1830 GMT/BST Training: Sunday 1530GMT/BST and Wednesday 1830GMT/BST, and by appointment We employ the F-14, F-16, F/A-18, AV-8B, and are open to more controllers. If you’re interested and want to find out more, don’t hesitate to visit our website, and message us on our Discord: https://dcafoc.wixsite.com/home https://discord.gg/dcaf Want to apply?: https://forms.gle/fhxwzxAJVBjYfU779 After application, if we have capacity to take you on, we will provide you with an introductory presentation where you can learn more about what we do, and ensure that this is the right place for you. We want to make sure that everyone gets the best out of their hobby, and the introduction is part of establishing that. I look forward to hearing from you, Peter ‘Parker’ Anson

The targets that we save into the system are shifted so that the targets 1, 2,and 3 meant during the mission are selected via target 3, 4 and 5 on the TSD in the lists of the targets. It should be good if not used to delete the first two targets that are originally in the TSD, so that it corresponds to the narrative.

Welcome to Birds of Prey. We are an Australian squadron seeking new recruits from Australia, New Zealand and the Americas as well as Europe. Ideally, we'd like to be able to field pilots in most timeframes. We are a virtual Private Military Company (PMC) that is not aligned with NATO or the East. This allows us to fly whatever platform we desire to complete our tasks without being restricted by Western or Eastern airframes. Currently, as we have only just started, we fly the following airframes: -F16 -JF17 -Mirage 2000 -Mirage F1 CE F18 and the A10. Other airframes that we would like to add are the AH-64 Apache, F14. If you are proficient in any of the former airframes. Training in the airframes we listed as those we currently fly can cover everything from basic skills to advanced skills. We use SRS and will field Overlord Bot (AWACS and ATC) as well as LoTac once we have enough members to warrant it. Basically, we are a fun group, that currently has just 20+ members, who don't take ourselves too seriously. We like to have fun in a no pressure environment that lends to best learning outcomes. So, what are you waiting for. Click on this invite https://discord.gg/KpfhH3x and join a growing community of virtual pilots.

Hi, I am a USN/USCG veteran who recently got into DCS. I currently have the F-18 and F-14, several maps, and several campaigns. I have a Winwing Orion2 HOTAS, a stream deck XL, a tobii eye tracker 5, 2 Thrustmaster MFDs, Thrustmaster T.Flught rudder pedals. I have spent some time training but it has not been effective enough for me to jump into missions and campaigns. I have DCS world 2.8 single player, would I need to download the multiplayer version? If so, would all of my aircraft, terrains, campaigns, and stats transfer over to multiplayer?

Thanks in advance for anyone taking the time to read the entire post. I am interested of having one on one training for BVR and BFM even if this training is provided with payment. Fortunately/Unfortunately I cannot commit every day to DCS, but rather once or twice per week. That been said, the time I commit on DCS is very valuable for me, meaning, I need to use every minute of my flying time to learn/absorb something. So far, I joined two squadrons and the way of learning is sort of "just jump in the sea and start swimming. At some point, you will learn how to swim" I know this is one of the best ways to learn, but it does not work on all cases (at least not in my case). It's not easy to join a BVR PVP session with advance pilots and all you do for two hours in try to just follow up and understand what is happening. I understand most you learned that way. My profile: Been flying about a year++ in DCS ( ~100 hours) Age:37 I am aware of the basic principles like: - Mar - Notch/Gimbal - 1 circle vs 2 circle - speed is energy - exchange energy for turning Essentially, I am looking for someone to transfer my theory into practice and start learning and evolving.
