i did not test this extensively but I did set it to 1, 1.5 and 2.5 and didnt notice any difference at all. gonna test some more later.

hey,back in the day when i first bought the a10c sim, i remember it came with some pretty helpful tytorial missions that taught cold and dark startup, weapons systems, navigation, etc. now many years later i finally have a nice setup and wanted to start again cuz i really dont remember most of it. I searched for those missions in the user files but there's just some for dcs 1.5 and I only found a paid version for 2.5. do i have to pay for it now or is there a compatible free version somewhere?

what's the ideal pixel density for the rift? I'm having some trouble reading the MFDs in the a-10c. also, is there a way to set my game to show in full screen with proper aspect ratio in my monitor while i'm in VR?

just got a reply from thrustmaster, it's a defective hardware. great. they told me to go to the store I bought it to have it replaced. I bought it from fry's electronics in manhattan beach, california, and brougth it to brazil, so. there are some signs of wear, so it was probably a returned DOA product put back into the shelf and now I'm screwed. guess that's it for me, flight sim has got me throwing enough money into the trash already

update: if I do the procedure to star the joystick in bootloader mode (plug the joystick into usb while holding trigger and pickle) it does start in bootloader mode, so I think that means the buttons are not dead, no severed cables or dead chips. probably a good sign right? so it has to be a software / drivers / usb issue or something. gonna keep trying and waiting for TM tech support, but meanwhile I could use any help. some folks from some posts I found online mentioned removing some registry stuff, but couldn't find what it is

Hey, so I finally bought my rift and the warthog hotas, brought it all the way from LA to brazil through airport security and all, to get home and find that the stick isn't working. its recognized on windows, says "device is ok" but it doesnt recognize any button presses or axis input. throttle works fine. the stick is well conected to the base, i tried a few things i found online such as firmware update, disabling xHCI on bios but nothing works. tried connecting it to an older computer, but same problem. I bought from a local fry's electronics, only place that had it in stock, box was pretty worn and now I'm afraid it was a return of a DOA product. really cant really return it, and sending it to support would be quite expensive, so I need help. already contacted TM so I'm waiting on their reply but any help is appreciated. thanks Rafael

lol I really wish, good times when I played racing games on keyboard and all I needed was to reduce gear to turn on corners and such so I guess that's a no, I suppose you can't lock the sliding movement and leave only the tipping for gas and brakes huh but thanks!

hi, has anyone ever used the thrustmaster t flight rudder pedals as gas / brake pedals for racing games? is it possible? I'm thinking of buying it. people usually prefer the saitek ones but thrustmaster is cheaper and appears more compact which is good for me. if I could also use it with racing games it would be a plus. any oppinions on this one?

hi, I'm planning on buying an oculus rift headset, and I read online people adding a third sensor for better tracking, mainly for tracking the controllers when your body gets in the way. me, I don't plan on using the controllers any time soon, I'll just have my headset and hotas. do I get any benefits from having a third sensor? like, does head tracking suck when looking back 180º with only 2 sensors or something? or I don't need a third sensor at all for this?

hey, I'm gonna buy the warthog hotas since TM is taking forever to release the hornet hotas, and I'm gonna need a mount for my chair. any tips? perhaps DIY? or cheap ones that I could buy from physical stores in LA or from amazon anything that's not expensive since i'll be spending quite some money on the hotas, and fits this chair

has anyone tried DCS with oculus go? is it any good?

the thing is, in brazil when you buy something online from other countries, they hold it in customs for months, and when they release it, they can charge up to 156% (60% + 60% over it) the price of the product+shipping. in some cases it's cheaper to buy a plane ticket to the us, and bring stuff with you, cause you have a $500 quota of stuff you can bring tax free. and sometimes, specially when you buy stuff from china, but not restricted to china, you never receive it. it stays in customs forever until it disappears from tracking. so ordering online something that expensive isn't an option, that's why I need to buy it when I'm there. any other options? I hear good things about VKB, but they only have one stick

so I've been trying (again) facetracknoir with just my face and it's no good at all. so before I give up (again) I'm gonna try making a LED clip for IR tracking. I've got a unmodified ps3 cam, so any directions on how should I make my clip and filter the camera? also, any other softwares besides facetracknoir I should try? thanks again

so I'm going on a trip to the usa by the end of september, and want to bring a new hotas for the hornet. ideally I'd buy the thrustmaster hornet hotas whenever they release it, but I don't think it will be out by then, and even if it is, it's probably gonna cost more than the warthog hotas wich is about $470 right now. I need to buy it there cuz it costs about twice as much in my country, and it also deppends on availability. I had many joysticks / hotas in the past, very basic ones wich even back in the 90s were unuseable, then I got a t-flight hotas x wich wasn't great but at least got me started with the warthog, then I tried upgrading it with a custom usb interface and switches, but never found proper switches, time, or skill to make something good out of it, and eventually abandoned it and bought a saitek x45 wich was way below expectation. it was better than the t-flight hotas x, but I was expecting being able to map all the warthog hotas commands to it, wich I obviously couldn't, specially when I had to leave one hat for panning the view cuz I never managed to make a proper head tracking dyi, nor had the money to buy a trackir. so what do you recommend? the hornet is probably my favorite fighter jet ever, and I must have a decent setup for playing it. I have a great computer that runs dcs smoothly, but I need a hotas wich I can assign all the buttons and switches to.

that's really good feedback. back in the day I bought a ps3 eye cam and made myself a clip just for that, but still never managed to get any good results. could you guys share your steps? what did you download, how to set up? I see now there's quite a bit more to do, different face tracking api s, etc.

hi, has anyone ever used successfully facetracknoir with dcs world? I tried it like 8 years ago with fsx but it was really bad, lots of delay, tracking wouldn't stay still, had to give up eventually. but hey, it's 8 years later, has anyone managed to have a cheap alternative to trackir that works?

Hi, I was doing Devil's Cross campaign again, and realized that after JTAC sends data to my TAD, nothing will clear the message. I press whatever I can to clear messages, warnings, delete message on the appropriate display, but it won't work. after a while the big white rectangle will disappear, but the small one at the side of both displays just won't go away, and "message" will blink on my hud forever. it didn't happen back when I did that campaign for the first time, when it was included with DCS. a bug perhaps?

I got free track running, and I've put the headtracker in the correct place, but no head movement inside the game. what else should i do?

ok, so any step-by-step instructions for using free track with dcs a-10? I have a ps3 eyecam, and a custom made 3 point clip with 3 red leds. I just need to know what files do I use, where do I put them, and what free-track version do I install. also, some settings would help heh thanks
