  1. From your log I see a bunch of Curl errors. Check this thread out. It's also not completely clear from your post what your problem is: you can't install DCS or you're having issues with moving your saved games stuff and controls or both?
  2. There are currently /bin and /mt-bin folders, but they are duplicated for now so peoples shortcuts don't get broken when /mt-bin gets removed. Sounds like that will happen in the next update or two. So there really is no ST to remove. In theory you could likely remove /mt-bin, but it's not that big so I'm not sure it would be worth it in case it might mess with something.
  3. You'll likely need to do a repair WHILE it's stopped and/or excluded from your antivirus. It may have quarantined files and it won't release them just by stopping it.
  4. Honestly, Kapersky is usually in the #1 or #2 spot for regularly causing issues with DCS (and pretty much every other game). I'd still say it's likely your problem.
  5. This shouldn't help, but there has been a couple of people it seemed to have, but change your shortcut to point to D:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS.exe (remove the "-mt" after the "bin") and see if that helps. In theory it should be launching the same thing, but at least one other report this fixed it for them and one other error with someone using the "bin-mt" folder in the shortcut
  6. When you're getting that many "can't move" errors you probably want to start by looking at your Anti-virus.
  7. Pretty sure that's a typo and RADIO should be RADAR based on the F-16 log
  8. Totally agree that it will be great for logistics (that's where I'd be at), but I'm betting more will use it for combat. But more likely they have people working on the logisitcs side BUT it's different people than the ones working on the ai gunners/pilot models (who obviously are done their thing) so not having done that would likely not have gotten better logistics any time sooner.
  9. Your easiest solution is to add a 1 or 2 deadzone in the vertical axis tuning for the TDC. Also check that you don't have a double bind that's giving you wanted input.
  10. That looks like you might have problem with your new drive. I had an intermittent CTD that slowly became a consistent one that turned out to be a bad sector on the drive where Windows was trying to write stuff. If you're getting a full CTD that's more likely hardware than DCS most of the time.
  11. I'm not a hardware guy, but pretty sure you're pretty limited by an old CPU. ED has added a lot of stuff since 2.7 and yes that increased the computing power required to run it well in 2.9. So your chances of getting 2.7 performance on your hardware with 2.9 are likely pretty small.
  12. Since your problem appears to have nothing to do with the problem mentioned, you should start your own thread and you're more likely to get relevant help. 1st thing to check is if your antivirus has quarantined some DCS files. Then post a log if it's creating one. Right now your video doesn't really show anything so it's completely a guessing game. Very difficult to tell anything from the video other than you're attempting to run DCS. Please expand on exactly what's happening.
  13. Discussed at length here: Personally, since it triggers a MASTER CAUTION if you try to take off with flaps in AUTO I tend to believe it's correct behaviour. There are lots of reasons why the behaviour might seem illogical, but there could well be other consequences of a fix for this that means it's easier to have a Caution and checklist item to set them to 1/2. I also have no idea of IRL on this, so this is strictly my feeling.
  14. Yep, what @Viral-51st-Vfw said, almost for sure you had flaps in AUTO (rather than 1/2 or full) on takeoff. You become a rocketship if that's the case and you won't be able to use trim or stick to level it UNTIL you flip it to 1/2 (or full) then back to auto. Once you do that it will start to behave itself again. But just make sure you follow a checklist and set them properly (and pay attention to the CK FLAPS caution you'll get when you push throttle ahead with weight on wheels and flaps in auto).
  15. I shoulda just used Google in the 1st place. Search in the forums isn't great.
  16. Can't find the thread right off, but this did get discussed fairly extensively in the last year or so.
  17. And if you follow the directions in BigNewy's post you'll be able to launch it again. This is a Windows issue, not a DCS issue.
  18. I'd bet that's the plan barring any blocking bugs. But no guarantees of that there won't be blocking bugs.
  19. Not sure how many WW2 missions are in there, but if you go to the USER FILES section of the main DCS website (not the forum site) there is a section for user created missions/campaigns. Not all of them may work (if they were created on an older version of DCS), but there are definitely some good missions there (for F-18 anyway). It's mostly divided by aircraft and hard to search, but manually digging around hopefully you can find what you want.
  20. I *think* ED is working on a solution, but I know some of our squadron servers will randomly drop and return from the list. Last night one was in the list for me but the guy I was flying with had to connect via direct IP . I have had one of them missing one night but all 4 of them show in the list the next night.
  21. As much as WW support isn't perfect, they do seem to manage to push fixes in SimAppPro pretty promptly.
  22. You're probably better off submitting a support request direct to WW on this. I don't believe they watch this forum at all and some changes have occurred after people submitted support requests. They might occasionally respond, but almost all posts here are users, not WW.
  23. See this thread:
  24. This! Every time these discussions come up I think of all the people saying MT was dead and never going to happen and ED had talked about it for so long with nothing to show that it was never coming. Then, out of the blue it appeared and the masses rejoiced. Not the 1st development that went that way. It's just the nature of the beast with ED (for IMO plausible reasons), so have some patience.
  25. Thanks, good to know.
