  1. When on the ground, taking off or landing I keep the brake viewer (L Ctrl Enter) on and I have the two brakes tied to two buttons on my throttle. I agree, the P-51 brakes get all wonky using the toe pedals. My workaround is a solution but it needs to be fixed.
  2. Excellent!! Thank you!!!
  3. You mean we get to stare at some guy's face for 15 minutes? Doesn't strike me as terribly exciting....
  4. LOL, Whiplash shifts into the old soft shoe, back-peddles off the stage.... The prop governor does seem extraordinarily vulnerable and fragile, considering where it is mounted but that's a subjective call on my part. I have nothing to say it wasn't this way. But...(there it is!)...I wonder if the devs might explain what data or anecdotes they consulted when making it so easily damaged by enemy fire?
  5. I look at it this way: Back in my days as an avid racquetball player (before I got old and the knees gave out), I always tried to play against guys just a bit better than I was. Boring for my opponents, perhaps, and they almost always beat me, but it upped my game considerably.
  6. It's not just you....

  8. If you read the P-51 manual (any version including historical) you will note it strongly cautions against doing snap rolls in this airplane.
  9. Wow! Lots of greatr vintage manuals linked to this link! Thank you!
  10. Lovely!
  11. Thanks, Whip. I don't know what I did but it's fixed now. I'll definitely give JGSME another try. I'm a fan.
  12. Thanks, Fifi. I found the repair function and that gave me my missions back. :D I'll give your method another try on Sunday!
  13. LOL, not your fault. I screwed something up (have no idea what). I'll get it sorted.:joystick:
  14. Whoa! I still can't figure out what you're saying. You have to give me a path to follow (my computer skills are strictly monkey see, monkey do). Worse, I installed JSGME and lost all my missions files. Probably gonna have to download and everything again. Is there any kind of a recover function? Shit.
  15. Hmm, I open the description with Notepad, make the changes and try to save them but I get an "access denied" message. Any hints? ttt Fifi -- I can't understand what you said you did. You put all the skins in a Mod File and then what? How did you get the pilot skin in there without changing anything?
  16. Thanks, Whip. I didn't get it that you have to do it for each external skin. I'll give it a try. S!
  17. A little help, Please. Which Lua script do I need to change and where is it located? Thx!
  18. What is PeterP proper neck mod? Maybe that's what I'm missing...link?
  19. Yup. That one. I was so low in the seat, I couldn't use the sight or see around the seat armor. Went back to default and it's fine again. Can't explain it.
  20. Fifi, I tried that Mod and it put my head so low in the cockpit I couldn't see the pipper on the sight and could not look behind me. HT
  21. I just bought the P51D and it appears when I start DCS World but I can't find any of the guides and have no idea how to configure the sim. When I bought A-10C a couple of yeras ago, it created a folder inside the Eagle Dynamics folder called A-10C and inside that were .pdfs of a Quick Start Guide, GUI Manual, Flight Manual, Install Manual. No folder like that was created for the P-51 and I have no idea how to configure my stick, set game resolution, lots of stuff. Was I supposed to get a P-51 folder with that documentation? I'm kinda lost without it. Thanks for any help. ttt Got it! There is no similar folder for the P-51D, so I used the A-10C instructions.
  22. Trying to use this configuration but am baffled (frequently my status in many things). The G940 controls all have names or numbers (S1, T1, etc.). The control setup matrix in A-10c simply has Joystick 1, Joystick 2 and so forth. There appears to be no correlation between the two (Joystick 1 is not S1). So, how do I map these functions so I am using the same buttons as in the RedBaron diagram? Maybe this is explained somewhere but I sure can't find it. Thx!
  23. Thanks, Cashman. I've been gone all weekend and will get at A-10C tomorrow (Monday). Right now, how to set up the controls has me totally baffled. Yes, I would like to avoid the Logitech profiler as I have found it troublesome in othersims. I'll try your suggestions. I assume they just go in the lua file of the sim itself.
  24. My post above stated I have a G940, which, I believe, is what Red Baron used in creating the setup in your OP.. So, I should map all this using the HOTAS controls? Or am I better off just tossing a prefab G940 profile in the Logitech Profiler (and, if so, which do you recommend?)? Thx again
