  1. The starforce protection does not prevent you from running the game on multiple computers (albeit the EULA probably does), that's why there are a limited number of activations. I think the last bid is 15 activations. The CD version does not need any activation, the protection is reinforced with occational CD-checks. Original LOMAC + FC will get you the same as Lock On Gold (which does include Flaming Cliffs). That's it, welcome to the boards :)
  2. Don't they have some Su-35 (Su-27M) in operation?
  3. Nice to see some fotage of Black Shark. "creative" flying I don't think thats a textbook takeoff, is it piloted by Andrey Chizh himself? :) Will the Ka-50 incorporate any heatblur?
  4. ssssh SPO-15 Beryoza :) Struck me to.
  5. yes, you need LOMAC LockOn: Modern air combat 1.0-1.02 - CD UBI release LockOn: Flaming Cliffs 1.1-1.11 (1.12) - download and CD distributions LockOn: Black Shark 1.2 (est March 2006) LockOn Gold - LOMAC and FC bundled, not published by ED.
  6. Iv'e also set up dogfights in these aircrafts, it's fun the push the 25/AFM. Staying in your envelope in the 25 isn't easy, presumable it could be used as an advantage, http://www.lockon.ru/index.php?end_pos=574&scr=default&lang=en What's the thin line in the first graph, derivative?
  7. My expectations on Stealth was very low, maybe that's why I found it quite enjoyable. Don't mind the crappy physics, it's fun to bash them :) Are there any good Russian 'airforce' movies with english subtitles? And where might you find those if you're in europe? ;) Stratos, you need quicktime (and it's a trailer) http://www.apple.com/quicktime
  8. Has this been up? Of all the Armée de l'Air movies iv'e seen this is the best one, these guys are hilarious :) Great soundtrack to. http://www.wimp.com/altitudefour/
  9. Here's the author, http://www.cgtalk.ru/exc.php?id=sunnncho and his website, http://www.sunnncho.pochta.ru My guess would be that he works for ED, It's pretty cool if he works for ED and does an amazing job at only 23. :)
  10. All my tests where made in rear aspect, here's som figures (against AI, but i hope it's the same) Detection ranges at 4000 m Su-27 -> F-15 (ECM on) EOS (BURNER) 74 km EOS (low thrust*) 36 km RADAR set to MED 33 km * low enought to hold 400 km/h GS Su-27 -> Su-27 (no ecm) RADAR MED 40 km
  11. Since you lifted this one i can post some vids i found yeasterday, Do french aircraft allow crash revovery? Because they fly like they do! :) http://www.alexisparkinn.com/photogallery/Videos/2005_9_25_rafalemalmostsplashes.wmv This one it's.. it's.. no one gets hurt. http://www.alexisparkinn.com/photogallery/Videos/heli_crash_(self_taught).wmv If you have ever flown a helicopter in a sim like msfs or read something about flying helicopters you'll atleast know one thing; You need to apply pedal to counter torq when you increase the collective, this man didn't :icon_jook
  12. IIRC this only happends in the MiG? But it's true that the MiG-29(S) will give a lock warning if you try to lock, even if no lock is established, and this is what appears happen when you loose EOS lock (outside radar lock range); radar is turned on - tries to lock - radar is turned off S77th-RYKE, np, good find :) Maximus_G, thanks for the info. On another note, is the Su-27 and/or Mig-29 tactical manuals available in digital form, if so could you PM me.
  13. Hey you got a damage model, now you wan't it to be realistic?? ;) I can see your consern, it's hard to tell why all those small pieces are flying off, althougth it's got some serious damage. The smaller pieces must be particle effects unlike the larger ones wich are part of the 3D model. I think the su25t damage model is really good, but you can sometimes see raining particles, but perhaps not to this extent.
  14. Interresting, what about the radar/eos slave modes you were talking about? Anyone who can read the manual, It would be nice if you could try find out how i really works and refer to the manual. I'll see if I can find or Babelfish something :)
  15. Ok, here's two tracks one recording from the Su-27 and one from the F-15 (connected from a laptop). Btw damn airliners ;) eos_test1_su27_f15.zip
  16. I can confirm it, i did some tests in my LAN. Enemy has AB on, you have EOS lock Enemy turns of AB, you loose lock, no indication is shown that the radar is used but it is apparently switched on and then off (when no lock can be made) You'll show up on the F-15:s RWR, the mig-29 actually gave a lock warning. I'll see if I can record a track, it won't really prove anything, but I guess you could record from both sides and then compare the time of accourance.. :)
  17. Than again some of those little things has been fixed, like the silent HOJ-lock for the F-15, so you never know ;)
  18. Iv'e also been flying helicopters in msfs, to warm up for Black Shark. First thing to do is to get rid of any deadzones in the joystick settings, I thought that made a big difference. Deadzones are useless in manual helicopters because center is never right :) , thus many helicopters doesn't have any centering mechanism. More about joystick- and realism settings, http://www.hovercontrol.com/artman/publish/article_23.shtml Anyway, after changing to more appropriate settings and having some practise it's still a b*tch to fly (hover) :) I can usually land it somewhere on the pad in good conditions, but sometimes you start do drift backward, and then you overcompensate..
  19. Did you hear any minimum speed or AOA warnings? Or are all sounds from this experience a big blur :)
  20. Nice vid, good showcase of the damagemodel, the noncrash-landing was a bit shaky tho :) I was doing this a while agoe, http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=12273
  21. From what Iv'e seen here some have had troubles running FC on dual-core processors, so I'm pretty shure it isn't.
  22. Airwolf great seriers, then again it's from the creator of Magnum P.I. :) The bad guys where flying MD-500's most of the time
  23. I get your point, obviously they can't afford DVD-ROMS in Russia.. only FX-55:s to run LockOn smooth. j/k I have no idea :)
  24. Do you use it with or without force feedback? how's the resistance. I'm thinking of getting one of those or a Precision Pro 2. Force feedback could be nice if modelled realisticly, ie not sending airframe movements or made up effects to the stick. If I'm not misstaken the Su-27 incorporates some form of force feedback.
  25. 1. yes, http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=12277&page=3&highlight=ground+effect
