  1. The bend is a bit strange, apparently that's how it is in the HH-43 huskie displayed on his monitor http://uscockpits.com/Helicopters/HH-43B%20Huskie.jpg
  2. I also had some problems with this mission, When closing in I initiated a dive and tried to keep the pipper on target so i could fire an s-25 right away when I got the LA, then release chaff and hope that the incoming missiles would miss, before I break off. The problem is that the iglas could fire right before I got LA. This wasn't a 100% success so some good tips would be nice :)
  3. There are some similar technology in the pipe. An AESA radar is/has being developed for Gripen, Ericsson NORA. Saabs next venture appears to be in unmanned aircrafts. http://www.airforce-technology.com/contractors/surveillance/ericsson2/
  4. As far as i know most EULA's only allow you to install the software on one computer. Thought it might be considered acceptable amongst most people :)
  5. I'll use this thread for my campaign issue. Loading saved games only work in the same "session" you saved them. If you load them later (after restarting lock on/computer) the pause screen is dark, when you unpause it seems to run fine, but you can't quit, if you do so the graphics gets dissorted and dark. The only way to quit is to kill the lockon process. Lock on FC 1.11 Has anyone else had this issue or know what may be causing it?
  6. How do 'electronically scanned passive phased array' radars work compared to AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array)? :)
  7. Very cool camerangles and color mix the first 30s, don't know if lock on ever looked that good before :) The rest don't quite live up to it. what mod do you use to set these camera angles?
  8. Can you be more specific? - I havn't had any problem with Starforce, and i also think the online distribution is great. It keeps the price down, you get it right away, and you never have to look for that CD, just download it if you need it. The starforce CD protection isn't safe but it makes things more troublesome for the pirate.
  9. Did ED have anything to do with the development of IL2 (maddox games)? edited out rant :)
  10. that christmas spririt; gingerbread, dacing around the tree, close support bombers.. ;)
  11. That's not the picture I was getting reading this: http://www.acig.org/artman/publish/article_189.shtml "At the same time, a group of Eritrean pilots went through a kind of crash course in the Ukraine, in order to learn how to fly and use new MiGs and Mils." "The initial group of EtAF Su-27-pilots were trained at Debre-Zeit by Russian instructors." "Both Sukhois, flown by Ethiopian pilots, detected the appearance of their opponents in time and attempted to disengage, when - all of a sudden - they came under an attack by several R-27/AA-10 missiles."
  12. A job for the ED fysics modellers ;) I think this works, a = lamp desk = 4a chair = 4a - 23 a + 4a + 4a - 23 = 562 9a = 562 + 23 a = 65 lamp = 65 desk = 260 chair = 237
  13. Does forward slip mean you set it at an angle? because I havn't been able to do that with the 25t in lock on, it will blow the tires. The tire weakness seems a bit overmodelled thought. -- Weta43, nothing broken, to begin with :)
  14. If I'm not misstaken some of the older hardware shouldn't be able to do it, and that is considered a bug, thus should be fixed at some time.
  15. Nice skins, i really like those. What does your squad name mean?
  16. voting for triggers in the mission editor.
  17. If you can do that you must be doing something right :) Post a track. Here's a 20 m/s just for the sake of it, http://tinyurl.com/7n23z (su25t_20sk.wmv) No flaps, touchdown at 350 km/h IAS I keep blowing the tires at 26 m/s .. You can't do this with the 25t http://djay.myftp.org/div/flightsim/Pousos.wmv , boeing test flights with some sick set angles
  18. hehe odd. My reasoning.. A-10 is a pig, F-15 is a brick, Su-33 is duck, Su-25T is a frog, why the hell is the vanilla frog an icecream? ... ooohh :)
  19. In the 8 m/s mission that i mentioned (it's in the su-25t missions folder) the wind is crossing the runway at something like 20 degrees from the incoming aircrafts point of view. I'll try the Kuz. Thought if it get's to hard it might be more luck than skill ;) The crosswind is a gradual challenge and the goal is to make it nice, not just get down without breaking anything.
  20. I recently discovered how fun the 25t is in strong winds. A what wind speed can you make a clean landing? I'll start with 14 m/s there I'm definitely clean :) Rules: The default 8m/s crosswind Su-25t mission, increase windspeed Increments of 3 m/s (8 11 14 17 20 ..) Crosswind landing basics: Lower the wing facing the wind, use opposite rudder to stay alligned to the runway. or Fly the aircraft with an angle into the wind, you'll move diagonally not facing straight at the runway, so called crabbing. Straighten out the aircraft just before touchdown. This looks cool but I've had less success with this technique so far. http://stoenworks.com/Tutorials/Crosswind%20Landings.html
  21. There's a trailer, http://www.leschevaliers-lefilm.com Jessica B.'s got some competition mjauu :) I hope there will be an english subtitle for this.
  22. A bomb penetrating a bridge, how could you possibly associate that with dating?
  23. If you change a view in video edit, how do you get back to the recorded cockpit viewing? I know it's been covered before but i couldn't find it.
  24. Where did you get this from? sounds terrible :) ED has said that they had been thinking about an SDK, but that it would take (valuable) time to develop such. So we'll probably not be seeing one anytime soon. I agree that there are possible bad effects of an SDK. There might develop an acceptance for lower quality material.
  25. Falcon 4: AF had you switching between the 2D cockpit and the 3D cockpit, because the latter was somewhat unusable. Big immersion killer. The quality of the Lock On cockpits are currently unmached in any sim and Ka-50 takes it further.
