its only with some drives. for example. I have a dvd/DL burner on my machine, and underneath a normal DVD-ROM. the DVD burner always takes much longer to authenticate my lockonFC disc, (it spins, and spins trying to measure the physical angle between the first and last written sector on the CD) while the DVD rom takes much less. My laptop drive is even faster, so its definitelly my burner having issues reading the game (weak sectors or whatever starforce uses), therfore causing issues with read errors and windows automatically reducing interface speed to cope.

you need to allow the changed version of the app trough your firewall. the reason its freezing, is because your firewall is blocking it from "calling home" :)

I had issues with it. Specifically when trying to burn a DVD (backup of some data) burns simply failed several times and I wasted like 4 discs, turns out my drive had been reduced to PIO mode, due to read errors. so, whenever I need to burn a DVD/CD, I simply uninstall SF and have no issues, when I play lock on, I reload it.

check hardforum.com (the hotdeals section) there was one not long ago fo the 24'" 1900x1200 for around $650 they keep constantly posting stuff (also slickdeals.net) the aspect ratio is so that your planes dont look "fat" as by default the image is simply stretched to fit. this way you'll also have more visivility to your sides, so in short, you get to see more to your sides without the image being distorted. (should be great for tight formation)

Do what I did and bypass that annoying part. Use this URL instead: http://forum.lockon.ru/ :D PS: you can alternatively add http://www.lockon.ru to your "allowed" list under firefox options, and it will pop up, but I like the 1st solution better.

thats really odd. I have the X52 if you look @ my sig. I did not have any issues with lock on, in fact it already had it mapped when I launched the game. -Do you have any other USB stuff attached with axis, etc? (lockon auto maps everything you have pluged in, and this can result in conflicts) can you get it to map by manually going to the options, selecting from dropdown menu, then axis, then click on throttle then change and finally move it up and down and it should map? lastly, what version of lockon are you using? good luck, and dont worry, we'll get you up and running :)

try a different USB port, reinstall drivers, etc? does it get recognized in windows? (you know the control panel?) if it does, can't you assign axis in lock on? one hint. when posting about bugs, POST your system configureation, we can't do miracles :P

Nice job, Not a lot of "desert" type areas in the Crimean, but it's a nice skin. Gotta love those wonderful TRANSPARENT trees in the last shot :p

Yeah, It was in the front page of CNN this morning, sadly it seems over 130 passengers & crew died. Preliminars indicate it was due toa bad storm.

Sounds (no pun intended) like your sound card is the culprit. Try the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website :)

maybe if you are using old tech yes, but even with a 7200RPM drive I see no issues of saturating your IO.. SCSI and 10K raptors FTW x2 :)
