I couldn't resist: :megalol: ;) PS. Great unit without a doubt. Although some methods and ROE are rather controversial.

Poland version manual DCS "Black Shark" [Sample]
Jascha replied to Kusch's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark

I love the new thread idea Groove. :) So 2 quick videos worth watching imho: 1. The original thread was about Serbian exercises, so here is a cool movie about Serbian JSO SpecOps Unit. Bus & Train entry ways are awesome. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N_xiE4eo_o 2. SpecOps + pilot skills - Chinook Pinnacle Landing - Afghanistan, SEALs pick-up if I'm correct: I hope you like it.

Well I don't think it's necessary to flood this thread with suggestions regarding the quality of translation (everyone will have some ;) ). Send me PM or the best option would be to join the "official" translation thread on the Polish forum (www.il2forum.xt.pl). Thanks for you interests. :) -
I don't think it's possible to judge which special unit is "the best" and if such comparisons make sense at all. For example: ask the US Marines (of course USMC are not SpecOps but still...) who is "teh man"... But I certainly agree that SAS operators are elite. Regarding the Bravo Two Zero. I'm not questioning these men, but I hope you are aware that there are different accounts of this mission (distance, enemies killed etc.) and some serious doubts involved.

Poland version manual DCS "Black Shark" [Sample]

If I may speak for others participating in this project - any help is welcome. Our goal is to make this manual as professional as it gets. But please keep in mind that the available chapter is only a sample (beta version). The plan is that translators will exchange their parts and correct those created by others. After the English manual will be released it will be a lot easier to make a proper translation. The final release of this manual is intended to be as comprehensible as possible. Great news. :) :) If I get it right, there is really no need to be sarcastic towards ED regarding their forum policy and such. I think it's clear that it's in ED's own interests to have more language versions. I was just asking to be sure, but if there are some copyrights issues involved we can always rearrange the layout. It will be unofficial manual, available for free (it's obvious). I'd be glad if someone from ED could clarify this. -

Shamandgg - you could help us, if you want to. :music_whistling: Some people are translating already directly from Russian (also using the version generated by systran), others will start when English version will be released. Oh btw - I hope there is nothing wrong with using the original (slightly modified) manual layout and ED approves it. :) -
It's a replica. Built in USA, since 2006 in Europe as property of the Messerchmitt Stiftung. The engines are different - General Electric J-85 / CJ-610. Here you can find all info: http://www.stormbirds.com/project/general/introduction.htm

You like this whole unification idea pretty much eurofor, don't you? PS. Ever heard of NATO? ;)

Who's talking about war? I just wanted to point out that now (and in the future) stealth technology is a factor that will play the crucial role in the air combat (if you can afford it, of course). What is the point of having a 400-km-range missile, when your enemy has a plane, which you are able to detect at something like 10 km from your position, and if you are lucky enough.

I bet Raptor pilots are scared... (Yeah that was a sarcasm...)

DCS: Black Shark Producer's Note #5 Available on You Tube
Jascha replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
That would be nice, but I'm afraid Wags wants to stick to the actual presentation of DSC:BS itself. But who knows... BTW. Leave something for Ironhand too. ;) Personally, I'd love to see brief presentation of major targets & threats. How are they modelled in DSC and what should we expect. Or how about radio communications? Well, if this actually covered, since I have no idea. Or ATC if there are some important changes. Can't wait for the next P'sN videos. Something will finally go BOOOOM. :) -
Try adding "&fmt=18" to your URL. Dunno if this works for you. Some more info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27mb_AyzGyQ

Here is some good example of the full afterburner:

Want become a beta-tester? Well, nice start. :megalol: (Just kidding of course) I'm happy with ED's policy on that matter too. Regular Dev updates, FAQ thread with real answers, Producer's note videos and other stuff. Really nice. They even answer the questions like "what is the usual day at work like?" etc. Just waiting for "what is your favourite color?" kinda stuff to show up. Lots of patience which is admirable. Well, actually my two posts with some questions went unnoticed, but hell, I'm not b1tching abut it. ;) Good job ED, keep it up. (I especially hope for some more screens of WIP on next modules)

For me: Su-25T (AFM and AWM to be specific) graphics emotions during a2a combat (priceless :smilewink: ) Haha. Nice one. +1

What!? :megalol: Some serious source... It's 31 or less (haven't checked the last updates). Cheaper solution? That's an illusion mate...

I love the aggressor photos. Thanks! :smilewink:

DCS: Black Shark Producer's Note #5 Available on You Tube
Jascha replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Good stuff as usual. Those auto aids (like turning the nose towards the target etc.) can be handy. Actually, this video calmed me down a bit. I was afraid if I'll be able to control so many functions simultaneously. Now I'm thinking I might even find some time for tee or hot choco during the mission. So how about night operations? Only NVG and unguided weapons? Are there any special pods like for Su-25T?
