  1. Please adjust the default limitations for 6DOF in F-5E cockpit so it's more like in A-10C, meaning - so we can use TrackIR to zoom on the instruments. Right now the in-cockpit movement is very limited and very frustrating (at least to me).
  2. UH-1H after landing: Moments later:
  3. I always name my custom kneeboard pages as 001, 002, 003 and so on. They are displayed right after mission generated flightplan maps. You can create bookmarks if you want quick access to specific page.
  4. I wanted to ask the same. It would be great if we could set up some notifications for selected modules / upload types. For example - getting notifications on newly uploaded A-10C user campaigns or single missions. Notifications on updates would be very useful too. Either by e-mail or notifications here on this forum.
  5. Indeed. I was surprised to discover that this guide has been completely reworked recently. The new version from March 2022 is 235 pages long, compared to 69 pages before! https://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-f-5e-tiger-ii/ Thank you Chuck!
  6. Pretty cool tutorial on basic handling, I think it's worth sharing. Couple of other tutorials on the channel. Unfortunately no new uploads since.
  7. You weren't correctly aligned with SPI. You are dropping unguided MK-84 in CCRP 5 MIL mode. 5 MIL means that the solution cue must go precisely through the pipper (dot). The solution cue was off (hence "X" in the cue circle) and that's why the bombs were not released. If you were using GBUs or CBUs you would be in CCRP 3/9 mode. In this case it's sufficient when the solution cue goes through the reticle. I'm not sure if you can change it to 3/9 mode in case of CCRP for MK-84 (I don't think so). You could use 3/9 mode in CCIP-CR. EDIT: I created a track with the correct CCRP use in your configuration: CCRP_correct.trk This ripple interval is quite challenging, as you must hold the weapon release button and stay lined up the whole time, and every 2000lb bomb dropped affects your trim.
  8. Great news. Some ETA for this update?
  9. Has this been patched already? Because the problem with this training mission and this specific step (turning EO on) is still there, although in my case it's different than described in the first post. Now the training instructs to start the alignment from the DSMS/MSL page (OSB 4) on the left MFD. After turning the EO on nothing happens. I tried using left and right MFD and also turning the EO from the MAV page (from both MFDs) - without any luck. EDIT: Just to clarify - this post is regarding the regular A-10C training.
  10. Ok, but how about using regular T/R mode instead of AA T/R to make it work with tankers? Is this how it should be? And does TACAN channel X/Y should matter? Because in DCS apparently it does (tanker on channel X results in AA T/R not working, channel Y - bearing only, no range). At least that's my experience with A-10C. I'm not sure if the TACAN channel number is relevant too.
  11. You mean bearing only (no range), right?
  12. Meaning that it is correct as is? I guess, it should be rather easy to verify with people who used/use this IRL.
  13. That's correct. Although from my experience - if tanker is on TACAN channel Y, AA T/R works... but only partially (provides bearing but no range). Has this been officially reported?
  14. I just checked Instant Action - Free Flight for A-10C (Caucasus). After gaining some altitude I picked up Batumi (16X) and Kobuleti (67X) from ~80nm with no problems (heading and range). I suggest you check this default mission as well. As for the volume - did you unmute TCN switch on the intercom radio panel (with RMB)? It must be up. null
  15. What's the range to your selected TACAN station? Is it within line of sight?
  16. I have converted my simple A-10C refueling training scenario for you. You can edit it further to your liking (weather conditions, tanker pattern etc.). A-10A refueling.miz Normally you would have to set up the radio frequency and tanker TACAN channel. But since it's FC3 A-10A, all you need to do is: 1) Request refuel (Tanker > Intent to refuel) 2) Merge with tanker 3) Report that you're ready for pre-contact (Tanker>Ready pre-contact) - when really close to tanker 4) Tanker must respond "Cleared contact" (if you're too far the response will be "return pre-contact") 5) Open the refueling bay door (aerial refueling status indicator must show "READY") 6) Refuel 7) When disconnected - you have to reset before you can take fuel again
  17. Regarding the Su-25 mirror perspective - can something be done about this?
  18. I haven't checked your track files, but to me it sounds like you are changing the ripple quantity, but not your release program. In controls it's called like this: A tad misleading. So in this example below: RIP QTY (ripple quantity) is set to 01, but RELEASE MODE is set to PRS (pairs), which means each press of the weapon release button will drop a pair of bombs of the selected type. I'm pretty sure PRS is the default setting in DCS. If you want to drop 8 bombs at once (not that it would make any sense, unless you set up ripple interval) you will have to select 08 as your RIP QTY and your RELEASE MODE to RIP PRS or RIP SGL (depending on whether your ripple interval will apply to pair or single bomb). BTW, I highly recommend the clickable FC3 cockpits mod, so you will be able to change these settings with your mouse.
  19. I'm looking forward to try out the new FM. Hopefully this is only the beginning of the broader overhaul for this module, that has been rumored to be in the works for some time.
  20. You have a profile name displayed on HUD. You can set multiple profiles with different setting under different names. I'd day it's easier way to identify if you are using what you intend to use, than juggling station numbers in your head. I'm sorry but I don't follow this logic. The argument that you can check DSMS could apply to checking of the currently selected stations as well. Not to mention that it's easier to identify selected stations at one quick DSMS glance, than to sum up weapon quantity from each station. Of course I'm talking primarily about multi-station & multi-rack situations.
  21. You telling me, there is a chance that they will update this thing? Yeah, I know about DSMS quick glance but still... it would be useful to have this info on HUD (especially in case of multiple rockets stations or bombs). Not to mention that DSMS provides info on station quantity, not total quantity for the selected weapon type. Pity. But I'll manage.
  22. That's disappointing. To be honest I don't fully understand the reasoning behind it. HUD provides information on the remaining ammo count for GAU-8/A in GUNS mode. Yet in CCIP/CCRP mode I get information on the currently selected stations but not on the remaining number of weapons (actually more useful). Also, A-10A has this info on HUD (obviously there is no DSMS there, but still...).
  23. Is there a way to have (remaining) weapon quantity for the currently selected stations displayed on HUD? Or is DSMS the only way to check it? I was looking for display settings in IFFCC menu but could find anything related.
  24. Expansion of the Caucasus Map into the whole Black Sea region would be great. Obviously, I'm talking about paid upgrade.
  25. I like the style. Thanks for sharing. You could upload it to https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/type-is-document/unit-is-f-16c/apply/ PDF file to print out would be a welcome addition.
