Can you maybe share the track file here? That way we could take a closer look. I fly the Apache a lot (might even consider it my favorite DCS module), but I can't say I've ever had any issues with George not firing missiles (well, maybe very early on after EA relsease, but not in the past 1,5 year I'd say). The only times I experience George not firing, is due to me being too far away from the target, or my piloting had George lose LOS)

A statement based on one of Sharpy's many solid and deep researches..... Ok, this thread is starting to derail. Sorry for that @YhandisH. It's your wish, and rightfully so *Sirrah signing off

C'mon man, really? You've got to admit, the SC module took naval ops (which I too like very much btw), way beyond land based ops, when it comes down to realistic procedures and details. Again, I love naval ops too, but I'd be royally pissed when the Hornet pilot body gets additional rolled up sleeves first, while my Viper is still standing in its hanger since it's release (pre-purchased) because it still doesn't have a pilot body at all after years (which makes the cockpit look spaciously arcady as hell).. Oh and btw: Do yourself a favor and purchase SA and Sinai maps (during a sale). They're both beautiful and you'll love it

Wait.. We have the Supercarrier module (with deck crew, ATC, soon a ready room), pilot bodies in both the Hornet and the Tomcat, yet meanwhile: The F-16 has been a drone (empty cockpit) since its release years ago, same for the A-10C II Land based ATC is absolutely horrible No ground crews Yet you ask for "any amount of love" for naval ops? I'm definitely not against your wish mate, but I personally I'd say land based ops needs love first, before we even start thinking about rolled up sleeves for the Hornet pilot

Maybe, just to make your wish more clear, you could consider renaming your thread title to "Better Wingtip vortices effect visuals". As the effect itself is already pretty extensively simulated: https://youtu.be/82Q3kd4v3bw?si=46xR2UVR0Knv-WnA

I regularly see/hear E-3A's, as Geilenkirchen's downwind leg runs right over our house. I still walk over to the window every time

Perhaps do some research before stating nonsense... https://www.f-16.net/f-16-news-article4444.html (amongst others) oh, and before that, they operated from Kabul... Anyways, I can't wait to fly over Afghanistan! Although I wish ED would first finish and release their DC, as imho, currently we are too dependant on user created content (missions/campaigns)

Not at all very important, but I was just wondering: The Supercarrier module menu background (the hangar view) runs awful on my pc in VR. It brings me back to single digit fps. Anyone else experiencing this? (or is this maybe a known issue?) I know, my pc is quite outdated for VR, but believe it or not, it still runs DCS very well. I don't have any stuttering or low fps with any of the other menu backgrounds, and even ingame I hardly ever experience unpleasantly low framerates (of course I tuned down my settings quite a bit). For now, I just switched to another background screen, but I'm curious if it's normal that the Supercarrier Hangar background view is so much more demanding than for instance actually taxiing on the Supercarrier deck in a mission.

I don't think anyone will disagree here. (Supercarrier AI aircraft already do this, so it's probably just a matter of time before we see the same features for land based operations) There's much more to improve in regard to AI procedures. Like flight members waiting for each other at the active rwy apron, instead of in their shelter, the ability to have AI make touch and goes, properly implemented holding patterns, etc. All this goes hand in hand with proper ATC procedures (approach, tower, ground, departure). I can only assume ED is developing all this in the background.

flares & chaff are useless against SA13, SA3, SA6,8.

Copy/paste error maybe? -
Seems I cheered a bit too early and, as I see now, didn't properly read @Gunnar81's reply. I've been fiddling with the special MPCD gain and contrast options, but now, either my left EHSD mfd is waay too bright, or my right tpod is unreadable dark.. I don't really understand why all this has been implemented by Razbam in the first place. This used to not be an issue when the module was released (just like this isn't an issue on any of the other ff modules). Has all this at some point been explained by Razbam? Sure, it's not the end of the world, but why did Razbam change this while it.. well.. didn't need change? Fwiw: I'm using a Reverb G1

Apart from ED, nobody knows any details about the DC, so you won't get anything but guesstimates from the community at this time. My guess/expectation is, that we'll be able to edit individual DC missions, similarly like we can with Liberation Campaign. But this guess is based on nothing at all..
-
@BIGNEWY or @NineLine, this issue has been going on for a long time now. Can either of you notify someone from Razbam as this bug has yet to be acknowledged by them. This bug is pretty annoying in VR

No, Amman has recently been added! To my utmost surprise I may add. Al Azraq AB was requested by several people, including me, but I never expected Ugra to also add this massive city. There have been some complaints in the past in regard to lack of bug solving and response (ahum... kneeboard.. ), but imo Ugra redeemed themselves. This last update was truly impressive if you ask me.

A Smooth walking pilot please with more intuitive controls. Thank You

I suppose the OP is referring to first having to bail out Fwiw, my 2 cents regarding this wish: I'd rather see ED's resources and efforts spend elsewhere, instead of modeling "walkarounds" and/or "being able to walk from a briefing room to an aircraft" -
I think the OP is asking for a few emergency service units to be added to the core game (a wish I wholeheartedly support btw). You are probably talking about an unofficial user made mod. (there's some true mod gems out there, for sure. But many of us stopped using mods all together, as they can cause trouble/errors after official DCS updates and require troubleshooting to fix afterwards)

Now that you mention it This must be where Tesla based their design on All this time, ED has been two steps ahead of us!

Thanks guys!

For AI (emergency service) ground units being able to drive to a crashed aircraft/helo, we'd need something like this:

Hey all I recently picked up the AV8B again (after a long time pretty much only flying the Apache) and I'm now it the process of training refreshment Forgive me if this was asked already, but I can't remember this from back in my DCS AV8B days. When I select my tpod, the screen by default is completely dark, as in, I can't see anything (apart from the tpod symbology). Only after holding the gain button below the mfd for a few seconds, the image starts to appear. This happens both after cold and dark startup, or when I start hot. Is this normal behavior? Or am I missing some way to quickly get a properly visible image? Does the jet irl "remember" the mfd gain and contrast settings?

Please enable the loading screen in VR (MT)
sirrah replied to LOW_Hitman's topic in DCS Core Wish List
If this is considered, please make it optional. As I, for one, rather see a black screen instead of a 1fps stutter and glitch fest -
Bit (very) late to the party, but thank you so much for adding this base!
