You're right that they're probably Ugra property, but... Shouldn't ED either have adopted those objects, or made some themselves by now? Fences and barriers are quite a common thing in military aviation (understatement). From the top of my head, I can't recall any of ED's airbases have fences and barriers (please correct me if I'm wrong)

That would indeed be awesome and provide excellent building blocks for FARP/FOB scenario's This has been suggested/asked for many many times though. Again, given the complete lack of response, apparently it's not worth the time and effort...

This definitely needs to be addressed (long overdue imo). Try placing a static unit inside a hangar.. Indeed, impossible.. leaving us with beautifully modeled hangars at airfields that are completely empty and "dead" Given the complete lack of any kind of response from ED on this forum ever since it was initiated, I fear that all these wishes and sometimes great and well documented ideas, are utterly in vain. I had some hopes when Nineline posted that sticky on the general wishlist sub-forum, but I still haven't seen any responses here in the ME wishlist forum.

I use the Pointctrl aux buttons set on my VR headset to salute, so yes, always

Depends on what you're smokin' I think this "phenomenon" is called: motivated perception

(As someone who's not very social media active: Thanks for all these updates @Phantom88! )

I heard Australia came to a similar sort of conclusion; that the NH90 is pretty crappy. Spoke to a friend of mine yesterday who works on RNLAF NH90's as a mechanic. Hearing his stories, it seems that thing it pretty darn miserable . RNLAF now preys on Australian NH90 parts and tooling. (At least my friend won't have have to worry about lack of work )

Have you tried Razbam's AV8B and M2000? At the moment Razbam is miles ahead of ED when it comes to 1st person pilot body. (ED is cooking on something for a while now though )

Apart from a few specific actions (usually only needed for startup), you hardy need to be on the left and right side wall panels anyways*. So I'm always so surprised to see so many people talking about switches being blocked. What are you guys all doing there?! *Small disclaimer: Not sure yet if this is also the case in the Mudhen, but for sure it is in the Hornet and Viper.

Glad to see even the expert having a hard time staying connected

Thank you for the extended answer! I didn't mention it indeed, but I'm flying in VR (HP Reverb G1). Full specs in my signature. Although I admit I'm a layman, I'm very much under the impression that my pc is GPU limited at the moment. The fact that I didn't notice any difference with MT, amplified that impression. So, considering the above, what do you think? With a busy life currently, and not enough time at hand for DCS to justify the expenses of a full pc upgrade, I'm considering a second hand GPU, to make DCS more enjoyable again. Question is though, what GPU will still "match" with my 8700k? I'm at the point now where I seem to have to lower PD (I have pretty much all other settings already at low now). Lowering PD is kinda a limit for me, as it will directly influence cockpit readability. (Once life eases up on me, I can start and think about a full pc upgrade) Edit: Oh and going pancake is not an option for me. In that case I'll probably take a DCS break until I can properly upgrade

I'm really curious if the new MT allows us to use older CPU's in combination with a high end GPU. I mean, of course it's possible, but for sure MT pushed away CPU bottlenecking (is 'bottlenecking' even a word? ). To reflect ro my own system: i7-8700k | gtx 1080ti Would it make sense to only upgrade my gpu to a, let's say, rtx 4070ti? Anyone out there with such a pc, that can share his/her experience with DCS MT?

Sorry if asked before, but is it correct that I no longer see the mission loading screen in VR? (screen now just stays black until the mission is loaded) Fwiw; I think this is much better than the 0,1fps stuttering loading screen we used to have.

Yeah sure

My YT algorithm friend came up with this today: Now that's some next level modeling if you ask me

Didn't really know on what sub-forum to ask this, but as I started wondering about this while watching one of the F-15E video's, I thought I'd just try here Do 3rd party devs such as Razbam have any control over AI behavior? For instance; Would Razbam be able to incorporate, that my F-15E AI wingman briefly test his toe-brakes when rolling out to taxi? Or, does Razbam have any control over when/if an AI F-15E uses its airbrake? I've been wondering about this for a while now. Perhaps someone here knows how this works.

The option to change the aircraft in the VR hanger
sirrah replied to upyr1's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Agee. Not being able to easily do this is kinda a missed opportunity. There are so many incredibly well detailed aircraft, but meanwhile we're "stuck" with this outdated Su-27 model. It's not important enough (for me) to alter the VR lua file after each update. Yet it would be good for ED, if there was an eye candy aircraft standing there when I show off DCS to a friend/"potential new customer" -
Please ED, also consider giving the mission editor wish list sub forum the same love. Some great ideas over there and let's face it, DCS is currently still leaning very much on community made content/missions.. Also, as @draconus and @Ironhand already indicated, please don't pay "extra attention" to all the everlasting bumped up wishes (like the Super Hornet one, or one of the many "easy AAR" threads). It's basically a hand full of people that keep those discussions going, which doesn't represent the rest of the sometimes very feasible wishes.

Sub-forum for the planned Dynamic Campaign
sirrah replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Ah yes, forgot about that new bulletin (Still not sure how much there is to "discuss" about this just yet though) -
Sub-forum for the planned Dynamic Campaign
sirrah replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is there to discuss? There isn't any news. So setting up a DC sub-forum now, can only result in: Wild speculations (rumors at best) Fiery (yet pointless) discussions All sort of individual wishes (which can also be posted here) And (most importantly) it'll lead to people expecting a soon-ish release and those same people will get very upset when they find out it might still take (a) year(s) -
I used this for many of my missions, including my recent Apache mini campaign. So, it definitely still works. Super easy in use and generates ogg files. So no file converting needed. Also really easy to add different background effects (heck, even I managed! )

requested Proposal for VR head limits implementation
sirrah replied to kablamoman's topic in DCS Core Wish List
hmm, yet you care enough to still post here on this forum? Curious Pretty sure there still some DCS love left in you, otherwise you wouldn't bother to even visit this forum -
Before I submit a ticket to ED... Anyone else having problems completing the payment for the F-15 pre-order? After filling in all my credentials and confirming the payment on my bank app, ED's website gives me a "verwerking mislukt" message (translated: "processing failed"). I tried 3 times now with the same result. Anyone else experiencing this? If so, I'll just wait for ED to solve it, otherwise I'll submit a support ticked. EDIT: Nevermind, I solved the issue by trying a 4th time
