  1. @BIGNEWY, could you please take a look at my track file in the previous post and either move this thread to the bugs section, or verify/confirm that this is intended and correct behavior.
  2. Ahh, good point! That never crossed my mind (mainly because I always operate both seats myself). I can't really think of an easy fix for this, other than changing the "wait user response" action into a "add radio menu item". But that would mean quite a bit of mission editing. Not difficult, just a bit time consuming. Especially, considering I used this for all four missions several times.
  3. I like this massive speculation of yours. I'll join you on this one
  4. Came here to say/suggest the same For the true Mudhen fans, you might want to start asking your boss for some days off, the first week of March For those that missed it:
  5. Good thing you took time to add the descriptions, otherwise I wouldn't have understood this at all
  6. Really? Getting a RPM high warning when pulling collective quickly? I can't recall I've ever had that before. RPM low, yes, but not RPM high. Edit: I just recorded a track, showing the potential issue ("potential", as I'm not sure if this is intended and correct, or if it's a bug) Note that when I do a sudden collective increase, just to the point where she gets light on the wheels, I get a "rotor rpm high" warning. The last time, I increase collective gently, and the warning stays out. So, the question remains; when "quickly/violently" increasing collective with weight still on wheels, is it correct that you'd get a "rotor rpm high" warning? Rotor rpm high.trk
  7. I don't think the extravagant running and insta-stopping we had before Halloween was better, but I do agree they are a bit too relaxed now. (can't imagine that is allowed for deck crew) Something in between what we have now and had before Halloween, would be best. #itsallinthedetails
  8. Fixed on my end Thanks for this small QOL fix @Flappie
  9. Apparently it only happens under certain specific weather conditions. (Haven't had the chance to test myself)
  10. Emoji's messed up here as well Only the ED emoji's work fine: Using Google Chrome
  11. Isn't the Sea King a "he"? Anyway, she or he, I'd purchase it
  12. The green forum "solved" mark, does not mean the bug is fixed, but only that the OP's question is answered (in this case with a temporary workaround) ED's official thread marks (e.g. "reported", "can't reproduce", "track file missing", etc.) look like this:
  13. It's not you. Indeed you very quickly get a rotor RPM high warning when taking off now. Only when do take off really really gently, you won't get it. Also, as you said, high RPM warning at this point doesn't make sense at all. Low I understand, but high? (or please anyone, explain it to me ) Definitely something changed in this regard, in either the last OB update or its hotfix, because this didn't ever happen to me before (and fwiw, I have about 80 hours in the Apache at the moment ) Maybe one of the CM's or @Raptor9 can chime in on this matter? Was this changed on purpose? (sorry for no track file, GF called me downstairs before I had the chance to make one . Maye I'll manage to upload one tomorrow)
  14. I saw a similar report on the new Stone Sky campaign sub forum, with this "temporary" solution: Please try the following: after starting engine 1, throttle it up to flight mode from idle. Then start engine 2. It should start OK. (Haven't been able to test/try for myself yet) I'm sure ED will fix the issue soon.
  15. No thank you I don't like this "look-n-click" option at all. Maybe my head is just too shaky to click those tiny switches and radio menu text in VR, but no, for me that's definitely not a good alternative. (oh, and as someone using Pointctrl, I also hardly ever use the mouse ) That said, since my last post in this thread (few posts up), I did gave in to the VA/VAICOM option and try it. To my surprise the voice detection was/is so good, I can even whisper and it'll still recognize my commands (ideal for those like me who sometimes have to play DCS in silence, not to wake up kids). Since VAICOM is now freeware, there's really no reason anymore not to give it a try. And, obviously, it's the most "hands free" option to operate the radio menu. The only true improvement, would be that ED would somehow integrate VAICOM functionality in its core game.
  16. This has always been the case and is correct, the TADS is not on the same centerline as the seat. Not the most crisp picture, but the first I found where it is visible: (on the right side, you'll clearly see how much offset there is in the CPG seat) Recently ED corrected the default CPG head position to match the center of the seat. Before/at EA launch, they centered the default CPG view on the TADS. So perhaps that's why you've only noticed it now. Current default CPG position is much better imo. Although personally, I think it should be a bit further backwards and up or down (can't remember now), as currently it is still impossible to easily perform the IHADSS alignment without having to move your head to a very unnatural position in VR.
  17. Fair enough. I assumed the OP was talking about the position lights (just like 99% of the other threads on this subject )
  18. Haha Glad it was not just me not understanding what the OP means here You drinkin' again @macedk?
  19. I'm not really bothered by the livery downloads (upgrade to a 2TB nvme about a year ago), but I do admit that current forced livery download system seems a bit absurd. Just like the OP, I never fly WWII era in DCS, so it's quite pointless to have all these liveries "fill" my storage space. I'm not sure on how to properly find a solution to this that suits all. Though personally, I wouldn't be bothered if I had a bit less skins to choose from. I mean I'm not at my pc now to count, but some modules have like 20 (or more) liveries? Seems a little excessive to me. Then again, I play VR only and hardly ever use external camera's, so most of my DCS time I don't even see other aircraft so close that I can actually see all the high texture skins. I do like that ED (and 3rd party devs) select liveries for me, so that I don't have to spend time in the user files section. Maybe a solution could be, that modules by default come with only like 6 liveries and if you want more, you can either choose to download additional liveries selected/made by the devs (a separate "official" download section per module), and you can choose to download from the user files section. But again, this ain't something I loose sleep over
  20. Probably more with international shipping. Hence this thread Although I'm sure Deltasim delivers a great product, I find that to be a rather expensive mod for a ~€240 throttle (reading that so many people purchased this mod, I suppose I'm alone in this opinion) Don't get me wrong, I'm not moaning about slew mod pricing, it is what it is. I just wondered if increased "nipple grip" would increase fingertip slew control and with that create a better experience.
  21. Considering that is ~1/3 of a complete TM Warthog throttle, I agree, if true, that'd be kinda absurd indeed..
  22. That's a great idea I'll try that first Did you buy one separately, or an entire throttle? I wonder what it'll cost from TM if it can be bought separately. Buying the Deltasim slew from here (The Netherlands) is over €60,- (and that is excl international shipping costs). A bit steep imho.
  23. Well, it's not so much the "Jester wheel" interface itself that I don't like (quite ok with that in fact), but it's the Jester micromanagement part. I understand why Heatblur did what they did with their Jester menu, and I'm not sure how to do it differently, but all the menu's inside menus are too much for me to enjoy. It's like HB tried to make it possible to operate the entire RIO station through the Jester wheel. Personally, I'd rather wished that Jester functioned more autonomic (but again, I wouldn't know how to properly implement this without Jester doing stuff unexpectedly). Anyway, please don't consider my opinion as a rant against Heatblur's Tomcat. They did an awesome job and I didn't regret purchasing. I just came to realize, that (although I like occasionally flying it) the interface with Jester AI is just too complicated for me to truly enjoy it.
  24. Just stumbled upon this thread trying to figure out how the 4070ti would compare to a 3080 in DCS. Anyone found a proper DCS comparison review between these cards yet?
  25. Hehe agree The constant "acceleration, running, insta-stop" was a bit extreme, but right now is really really casual. Something in between would be good I suppose. Anyways, this is just me, nitpicking about a very small detail. Poor ED
