  1. Guess you should tell that to Ilya.
  2. I'm sorry, but I don't get it. Is water not supposed to render at sea level in rivers? Or is this a similar issue to the gravity defying water present in rise of flight's harbours? I've been away for a while....
  3. Glad this one has been reported. I took a couple of screenshots in order to post a new thread. Now no need. The aircraft casts shadows on itself, but not on the terrain.......
  4. It's just a little addition for the movie-makers amongst us. Lens flare, dirt on the camera lens and blurred depth of field are great for making movies, not so good for fighting a war! :) P.S. it's under 'lens effects'. I'm not sure what it would be in your native language.
  5. Set your card software to 'let the 3d application decide' in NVidia control panel or equivalent, then max out everything on the game video settings including the bushes and birds sliders. Start with the default high setting for your native screen res. In addition to the dirt and lens flare, turn off the depth of field blur too. Sorry if this is too obvious.
  6. Yup. There's a force feedback-free zone on my g940, where the a/c is controllable before ffb kicks in. A 'wobbly' bit if you like. Also my rudder pedals have to be shoved left, right and left again before they'll actually centre, in all sims. Then I always have to reduce their sensitivity, or the a/c is almost uncontrollable. I'm convinced that when the Spit is released, it'll be controllable completely within the 'deadzone' of my stick, before I even touch the DCS software's deadzone, saturation and curvature profiles in the DCS controller menus. I read these arguments about the sensitivities of the real aircraft and think; 'Did Erich Hartmann have a Logitech 3D Pro or a Warthog Thrustmaster, or was he using a 360 gamepad?' Funny stuff. :)
  7. No salt and pepper ribs then? Bummer.
  8. Yah. Concerning getting off the floor; Do I need to work principally off the HUD, or the MFCDs? Should I concentrate on the HUD, then use my china boat switch to order a beef and mushroom with fried rice? Should I use china boat forward or china boat aft in order to receive some prawn crackers? As for the coolie hat; well it's been a long time since I needed some labourers to lay a railway line, but what does this have to do with shooting rebellious insurgents? Coolie, china, boat, hat, DMS, TMS, SPI, DCMS,MFCD, CMS, TACAN, EAC, CCIP, CCRP, TGP, all with a terrible American accent talking too quickly. 'Press the space bar when you are ready to proceed' Eh? What? Say that again, I didn't quite catch the last acronym. Did you say Deemoss or ceemoss or greenmoss or davemoss? Or teejip or doopgit or gossmoss? Ach du lieber gott, Ich habe einer grosser kopfschmerzen.
  9. If the wait for the Nevada map is anything to go by, 2016 is extremely optimistic, in my opinion.
  10. No-one seems to want to mention the P-38....... Oh. I aplogise. It's not a single engined fighter. Silly me.
  11. Sir, We all got stuffed. Bigstyle. But now we all have to be grateful for whatever we get. Be very grateful. I am. You should be too. (Mrs Dooyar - 'Switch off the sarcasm Dooyar, please'). Dooyar - Ok.
  12. I'd just like to see Normandy. I reckon that's a big enough issue in itself, without any daft crystal ball gazing. I don't want to fly my Spitfire in the Caucasus against Su-27s. Doesn't seem right.
  13. Pacific. Pacific, Pacific, Pacific. On and on and on and on and..... Doesn't anyone remember Ilya's game, where we fly over a seemingly endless ocean, but with perfect navigational skill, manage to find the target, only to be shot down by AAA before bomb release?? Pacific is boring. Endless water. Ocean and then more Ocean, on and on and on. Then flak.
  14. Spitfire.
  15. Triple. :)
  16. Sorry Chaps, but given the history an' all, it's a bit daft to be talking about what comes next. I'd be surprised if there is ever a Normandy. Pleasantly so, but surprised nonetheless.
  17. Just as long as any errors aren't corrected by an amateur, I'm good. But I bet someone produces a graph which demonstrates admirably how the P-47 could out-turn a Spit. And how a 109 could too. As for the Hurricane, well everyone knows that it was easily outclassed by a Stuka. bitch, moan, bitch etc. :D Happy Christmas Gents. :)
  18. Normandy. Is that an object? If not, then The English Channel. Uhmmm....
  19. Ummm, yeah. And given the length of time taken for Nevada and the Strait of Hormuz, I'd say that Normandy....
  20. Folland Gnat. Well, you asked. :P
  21. I LoLd :megalol:
  22. Oh. Thanks mate. :)
  23. Yup, me too. I just hope that the Normandy map doesn't take as long as Nevada.
