1. Same here.. PM sent!
2. Awesome! Thank you sir
3. Great guide printing now!
4. Fast easy repairs can breed bad habits. I didn't think about people getting tired of waiting.
5. I'm glad to see you swing by paulrkiii you have lot of knowledge and I use your 2.2 checklist. Being down weeks would be rough. At least visual repairs would be nice. I guess it's the same old question, how real do you wanna get.
6. You can also youtube dcs a-10 tutorials. There are alot of good videos to add to your training on top of the phone book.. lol Love the manual. I think i have around 30 videos in my favs and are great for review.
7. I'm one of those extreme reality nuts so i think it would really cool if DCS could add a realistic repairs option that would simulate real repair times if you take battle damage and say need an engie swap or airframe repairs or whatever even if it means waiting days if you take to much battle damage. Plus a full indepth log book that records everything. Then the airframe or other componenets replaced would look as if they didn't originally belong on that aircraft. Wear and tear would be cool and would add so much more to the reality of not getting dead. The random failures option is the first step. I know waiting days could not be fun for some but like i said im ok with it.
8. Sweet man! I'm the hero of the day..lol I'm sure there will be a fix for this soon so we don't have to file swap. Cool i'm glad this works because i could not get the backups to work. The cdu file would of probably fixed the issue but might aswell overwright it all to be sure. I like icontrol alot so keep up the good work just a minor mud spike during uninstall. REP inbound sir!
9. Did you try to overwright with my files above. These are from a new install but i can't test them yet. Hoping to get a Conformation! before i get home..lol
10. Sounds great! Thank you
11. I'm not at home right now and can not test these files but these are from a fresh install of A-10. Overwirght with these files and get back to me if you can.
12. Thank you for the input. I tried restoreing the backups and then overwriting with files from a new install on another pc. I'm missing something somewhere. Something somewhere is still needing the CDU_init file. If you delete it you will loose your cdu display. "UPDATE" Check here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?...37&postcount=9
13. I tried unchecking the cdu first and that didn't do it, then i manually restored the backups. Lastly i replace the cdu folder and export files from a new install on another pc. The original install does not have the CDU_init file so if i remove it i loose cdu all together. Something else is somewhere is still talking to or needs some string in the CDU_init file i'm guessing. What would cause the cdu display to disappear all together if you delete the CDU_init file? Thank you!
14. How do you uninstall this app on the pc? I need to uninstall it for a bit. I tried putting the original files back but still get a transparent cdu in the upper right corner of my display. I am using one lcd at the moment. I have unchecked left/right/cud under display settings from the server and deleted all script files. It seems i have to leave the CDU_init file in place or i loose all cdu display all together. How can i get back to orginal setup? I like the app but need to uninstall for now. I just can't figure out how to get the tiny transparent cdu to go away.
15. I got dcs icontrol v2 working with a test setup but wanted to uninstall it until i have the right secondary lcd i want to use. So i tried to uninstall the modified files from my dcs install location and replace them with the original files but i get a weird issue. With everything back as it was, i stll get a small transparent cdu ouput in the upper right corner of the display. The icontrol app installs a CDU_init.lua file in the indicator cdu folder. If i delete the file the little cdu display goes away and so dose the cdu display on the main cdu screen. So i am left with this little transparent cdu display and can't get rid of it. I don't want to uninstall the everything and start over if i don't have to. There has to be some way of fixing this. If you know how to uninstall this app please help!
16. I found the toggle option with the search option. The command is Rctrl + Num0 + Num5 so i used the mic in button on my warthawg hotas as toggle. The command is Rctrl + Num0 to toggle to the front dash then click the paddle on the stick for command Num5 and this will hold the hud view. When pulling out of a run just click the mic in button Rctrl + Num0.
17. I have view 5 mapped to paddle but I have to hold it. Can it be set to toggle? If so how?
18. It's at the bottom of the emergency panel. The panel is outlined in yellow on the left panel.
19. Lucky dog. No air shows near my area this year. Beautiful pics
20. Got my first "Q" today! Mission one based off memory. Studying hard and retaining more and more. Thank you for the great missions.
21. I am also new to A-10C but have flown FSX, and X-Plane for years and love combat sims but have not liked any since jane's usaf. I jumped in and played around a little just setting up graphics, controls and squeezed off a few rounds. I am currently in what i call ground school, I am reading the entire manual and practising what i have learned over and over to master the basics of just flying the aircraft before trying to tackle the CDU and other weapon systems. I found these training mission very helpful. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=62992
22. Thank you for spending the time and effort in putting this together, very high quality work. Good job.
23. Thank you for the file, I needed help with the color aspect.
24. Emergency procedures are the toughest thing to retain so i keep a red binder by my left foot with all emergency procedures for a quick review. Practicing emergency procedures is not glamorous but will save your life.
25. I am a "Newbie" to A-10C and have been a flight sim fan since FS 98 and have always dreamed of someone making a sim as close to 100% reality as possible. Jane's USAF was a dream until the software would no longer run on newer versions of windows properly. The A-10 has been my favorite combat aircraft ever since the days of G.I Joe and my little blue cobra jet..lol. So i welcome the challenge of a complex sim especially the A-10. I'm one of those crazy people who get excited to read a 670+ page flight manual and adding more on top of that. For me the point is to get as close to reality as i can so this is perfect for me. I have spent the last month printing and organizing the flight manual into sections in color coded binders for quick reference. So if i need to sit in ground school for months learing every in and out before going up so be it. As I have been learning i have been acquiring hardware and tweaks so when i am ready to lift the nose wheel i will have all of the basics behind me and that is what i call fun. Sick i know right?..lol I hope and pray that dcs keeps putting out authentic flight simulations because i have been depresed a little ever since Jane's died. I will be flying this sim for years to come so if it takes me a year to retain everything im all in! If your not as sick as i am then just hit the game mode button.
