Are the smoke trails and contrails a big fps hit ?

Dunno to be honest . Depends on how much you want it I guess . Depends on if its DCS quality or not . Id be ok pay pay 40 euro for DCS quality , but maybe only 20 for FC3 quality . Its a difficult one to answer . Then if (hypotheticaly) someone did a limited production run ..... It would depend , but if it was a F-105D ..... and DCS quality limited run Id consider paying over 150 euro for it . I suppose what your looking at here , is the big difference between FC3 quality and DCS quality , 2 completely different scenario's .

On general map view , change map image to SAT , and zoom in on airbase you are at . The runway numbers appear on the map when zoomed in close . Look , now you learned how to start , that's a big bit done already . Get your ass on a server and just go for a fly ..... get comfy with that before going any further ..... I was flying it for over 6 weeks before I got around to GBU and lazer stuff . bit by bit , get comfy slowly , when your comfy , look for something new . Now you think when you are starting her up , but pretty soon you just do it without really thinking about it . Well done and +1 for trying . The manual is under eagle dynamics in your C drive ..... under docs .

This guy was bitchin while on the 51st this evening . Thought the 51st server was crap , because there were more red ..... I thought that's peoples choice , not the server , funny !!!

In Austria there is a town called fu-cking !!!

I cant remember what server I was on at the time ..... but all 4 MPU exploded 20 feet in front of the aircraft . Ill check it out later and see what happens . Thanks for the heads up on the servers though :)

Im really disappointed with the SU-25T sead missiles again . Did a quick sead mission to help some A-10 with an attack , and all six didn't get a strike again ! 4 of the MHP missiles blew up right in front of my canopy again , while the 2 58 missed . I thought this issue had been addressed . I wont bother doing sead again until the issue is addressed . I would have thought this would be high on the ED llist of fix's ..... as it completely cancels the sead role and possibily the ability to strike some targets effectively . Pissed off ................

Well , Im confused ! Last night I got hit by a Strela ..... both engines out , one vert stab in half , holes big and small in both wings , and both engine nacelle's ..... all tyres intact . Tried to glide home , almost made it and had to eject about 200 feet before threshold .

Ok , last night I saw this one guy ask . "Can someone tell me how to fly , please" . Now , gimme a break FFS !!! I stayed quite and shook my head . :music_whistling: And tonight ..... some dude did a taxiway takeoff , as I was taxiing and went right across my nose struggleing to get airborne . When I typed in the thread that it wasn't allowed and newbies need to bead the brief , some other people stood up for him . I don't like the thought of passworded severs , but if this lark keeps up , I would be inclined to go with it .

Is it possible to change the font color in the onscreen print . I mean the red isn't that hard to read , but a blue font against a blue sky in a real pain . I don't know if all of you agree , maybe its just my eyes , but for example a dayglow color and possibily white . Any decent ideas ?

LMFAO ..... now that 2nd vid was brilliant ..... Im still laughing too , especially with the terminator Mav and the flying cow and the debris hitting the Hawk battery ..... ED should hire these dudes and turn any thread into a laughing spree !!! Just excellent .............

I normally fly the A-10C , so I know whats it like to be uncovered . Sometimes I get up in the F-15 or Mig-29 for a blast , but Im not really good in fighters ..... but I agree with your above comment . I normally start a mission with A-10C , and when I see there is no top cover and manage to get my ass shot down , Ill go up in a fighter and try to help a little .

I had to laugh the other day . Someone asked how to close the door , I replied "what door" , the next retort was , "I mean the latch" , to which I replied what latch ...... person left the server !!! I don't mind helping out others , but If someone cant close the canopy , or even start the damn plane , I stay quite .

No , what you fail to understand is this : Most of the scenarios are won by taking out ground objects or military vehicules . I don't see the KA-50 pilots stopping destroying these targets , do you ..... answer to that is no ..... but they whinge & bitch a whole lot when their shot at by a fighter . Tough titty I say , If you don't like being shot at , join a training server , and stop bitching at being shot at when you continue taking out opposition forces !!!

Very few open servers I have found where the fighter jocks realize that the scenario is actually won by the mud movers ..... their all off all over the place fanning their fannys and tripping on ego to care about us !!!

In the real world you don't have "join spectators" button ..... I think its unfair on other players ..... and if you can help others game play to run better , I don't see how that's a bad thing . Realism ..... then the runway would be closed for days waiting for someone to repair the plane .
