It was me doing it wrong ..... Im all in 1.2.7 update 1 now . Any more advice please ?

Looking at it now , Im sure it was not enough fuel onboard . Ive been on several servers 1.2.6. ..... and I cant rearm or refuel ? Also , I cant install the module into 1.2.7 .... says I need 1.2.6 installed first ? Im not surprised the tail fell off ..... I did hit the ground a bit hard !!!

Woah ..... this thing will need some taming . Managed a rather Omni-directional lift off followed by what sounded like power loss ..... emmm , I lost my tail boom !!! Any more hints please ?

Thank you so much for your above replys ..... Ill certainly give this a go once I muster up the courage to try again :) ..... like Im talking hours , not days . Man , I hope I can get the hang of this superb looking monster . I work on heli's ..... mostly Bell & Sikorsky , Eurocopter ..... wonder what its like to work on this . I reckon its a massive leak (hydraulics) ..... rough sheetmetal work and big bolts ..... but good at what it does .

Right , I bought the Mi-8 over the Christmas . I know I said I wouldn't buy a chopper unless it was an AH-1S/T ..... but the look of this thing , along with the added scenario possabilities was just too much . But now ..... I haven't gotten a damn clue where to start with controls . I was kinga hoping I could use my split throttle . Im really don't know where to start . Any good ideas , explanations or profiles on this would be great , cheers . Oh , I got a TM Warthog , Tir5 ..... with no pedals , Z & X for rudder , and a G510 keyboard in the post . Ive also forgotten where to plonk any TW profile , so If someone could please run that by me again . Ive got a sinking feeling that its near on impossible to fly this beast without rudder pedals ? Yeah , I did hear that wireless was not the way to go . Thanks for your help so far boys . Ok , so Ive narrowed it down some . Now I want a USB connection as opposed to wireless . You talk about old , mine doesn't even have the bloody euro sign on it , so I want to blow around 200 on a nice one .

Thinking about a new keyboard , with backlight buttons in green or blue . I hear some wireless keyboards have issues with the F keys not working properly ingame ? Im lookin in a price range from 150 to 200 euro ..... all thoughts appreciated . Badger :)

The original sounds from the sim do not sound authentic to me . Ask Diveplane . But at the moment Im flying 1.2.7.0 , totally without any mods ..... as requested .

I copy & pasted the keyboard keys and TM Warthog from my DCSW folder to the new location and it works fine . I not getting big stutters , but stutters all the same . But so far , I think its works ok for me . Granted Ive only done a little flying .... and the engine smoke looks brilliant !!!

Hey , I was brought up living beside the sea ..... and I ain't ever seen the sea look like that ..... I could use some of that effect in a couple week's time for wrapping up my Christmas present's !!

While im not over excited about all these bugs , I do think DCSW offers the most In depth flight sim out there . I would be happier to see all these bugs getting sorted out before the introduction of any more new aircraft . Whats the point of building new aircraft to put into a world that doesn't work right ? This is a real pisser I feel . But , Im sticking with DCSW ..... I have faith ..... and its still fun .
