  1. Take a look out for the Smacktards server, they usually have some P51 dogfights when it's up[ and going. Other than that, there aren't many servers with P51s vs P51s or guns only P51s with CAS planes. I imagine this should hopefully change with the release of new WW2 planes and EDGE related map packs for older theatres.
  2. I actually think my idea improves on the simulation aspect of the game as it places a group of people into a particular scenario with specific scenario related conditions. currently having servers where people can spawn in whatever role or team they wish to thwir hearts content with no consequnces for that particular scenario is more gamey than scenario specific. also the community may be large but given that missions take a long time to complete and often do not have very specific win or lose conditions it means it is difficult to find a game to join where everybody is on the same page in terms of working towards winning or losing. This I believe actually fragments the community more than it brings it together.
  3. What I would love to see integrated into in this game is a 'find match' button for multiplayer. Part of this idea came from how mechwarrior online works. Basically you could either have a single individual or a group of people with a group leader who would push a find game button. Aircraft would be selected prior to commencing the game and then a server would find other people to play against based on skill, aircraft chosen and ping time relative to other players. For example if the pool was made up of ground force commanders, Hueys and A10s then the server would choose or make a mission in which A10s must escort and protect a Huey to pick up some downed forces while ground commanders would be allocated a certain amount of units to stop the A10s and Hueys from prevailing. Win and lose parameters would be defined easily so games would have a definitive goal in terms of a win or lose outcome. Players would have a certain amount of lives and/or resources to complete the mission within. A problem with multiplayer part of DCS now for the average player is you don't really get to join a mission once it has started and missions never really have a definitive end point to work towards - or if they do it takes way too long to get to that point.
  4. It should be back better than ever once ED spice it up a bit hopefully.
  5. Which couldn't really come sooner as there is a really odd juxtaposition within the game in that all the planes and ground units look awesome while the terrain and effects look like they are from games from the late 90s - which I guess is not technically far off from the truth. Once we get a bit more eye candy it will also be a lot easier to promote the game to new comers and will totally annihilate FSX once and for all.
  6. EDGE is my favourite out of that entire list.
  7. I'm keen to do some mission testing. Send me a PM with your details and preferred flight times all I'll let you know if they match up to my free time.
  8. No worries. Best of luck! IDing the right axis for the job can be a bit difficult and will likely involve a bit of trial and error but it's worth it when you get there.
  9. It was more an implied narrative. But ANYWAY - the most plausible explanation is that you have some controller conflicts. Have you taken a look to make sure that there are no axis conflicts between devices? Also you want to make sure you have the right axis set up for the right controller.
  10. The RIFT + EDGE means DCS will set a new standard in flight sim immersion.
  11. No problem here. Laying the blame on the developers without doing any research or asking for help is a bit harsh.
  12. ED implemented track ir support for DCS. Why is it so hard to believe that they would do the same for the rift?
  13. This with the occulus rift = life complete.
  14. I hope ED have got their hands on a dev kit and and working on implementing this into the game.
  15. Agreed.
  16. Wait for EDGE /thread.
  17. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/03/13/simcitys-sims-dont-seem-that-smart-after-all/ Not me. This is the cherry on top of the shit-cake for me not buying it.
  18. When they let us have bigger cities, and I have a decent amount of time off from work I will be buying this on special from Origin.
  19. This sir, is a good idea. It would also allow squadrons to function more effectively in game as well as create a distinctive look.
  20. Sounds good. Can we expect that the 104th server will now be running Combined Arms focused missions now as well?
  21. Thanks for the updates guys. As I find myself constantly coming here for updates, I find it's awesome that you keep us updated will all the small things that are involved with getting a patch out the door. Keep up the good work!
  22. If you're looking for something a bit more laid back and casual by DCS standards then definitely get it. Plenty of planes and content that will keep you entertained for a while. Not to mention that you get to dogfight online against other fighters which is the best part of flaming cliffs 3.
  23. Thanks for the update. Standing by.
  24. As far as I know, EDGE is still being optimised. Nevada is for the most part done, but the new engine needs more work so it can function up to an acceptable level for game play. Good things take time.
