Depends what I expect to be going against. Your load should always reflect the requirements for the mission you're flying. For example: If it's just pure armour and no AA then I'll load up on VIKHRs and heavy rockets and keep pounding until I run out of fuel. If it's a mix of AA and armour then I'll bring some anti radar missiles and some VIKHRs.

I'm having issues connecting to servers. The server name will come up in the browser but when I click join or double click on the server name nothing happens.

Same thing here. Game starts off using 5 gigs of memory and then crashes my computer.

I think the real question is should we be upgrading to 16GB of ram given that 16GB of ram is the new minimum requirement for DCS?

I think charging for maps is the wrong move. It's going to hurt the online community the most - especially new players. Having some people have some maps and not others will essentially fracture the player base and reduce the amount of servers that people can play in together. Having a strong multiplayer community will be key for DCS to be successful as word of mouth gets around about how great DCS is to play with friends online. Hopefully ED can make free maps for everyone a viable option financially.

ED please enable the zoom function with the Oculus.

Does anyone know how to make the zoom function with the Oculus? Even without the rift this function is essential to be able to see targets and having it disabled with the rift is limiting. Also is there any way to move the mouse around to click things in the cockpit? Otherwise very immersive - can't wait for EDGE and consumer RIFT.

These guys are actually pretty good with their instruments/song writing. Up there with their western punk rock counterparts. They filmed the music video with VICE as part of a documentary.

GTX 680

I struggled to maintain 30FPS with all graphics settings on low with a DK1 and I have a GTX680 and i7 2600k. I think we will probably need to wait for EDGE to get acceptable nausea free FPS for the DK2/CV1 oculus release.

Agreed and bumping for support.

For the Oculus to be used effectively you need at least 60FPS or else you start getting motion sickness. I could only get 60FPS on the DK1 in DCS by playing everything with the lowest settings. Hoping EDGE solves this issue.

This is the biggest turn off for me. I log in and will only play a mission that has started recently and has a few players. Otherwise mopping up other players remains after most of the mission events have occured isn't very engaging. Thats why I supported ED make a system where players join a queue with a particular aircraft they want to fly and a server selects or creates a mission with the aircraft used by the players. When the mission is over or all players exit the mission is over and the queue stqrts again.

nailed it. I don't mind a different exe but if I can't fly my mustang in it after all the money I have dropped into DCS products, I'm not going to be very happy.
