Tx for reply. Correct. User name and PW are apparently accepted, but I get Login Failed message along with 3-day use authorization and DCS starts and functions normally. Internet functions normally. I do not know how to force Windows to use Google DNS servers. Will google DNS servers affect anything else like SRS? Possible Windows Defender issue?

Since upgrading to Win 11 24H2 DCS login fails. I now get the standard 3 day limited access. DCS 2.9.17.8222.

As a BsB V1 owner I can say the their customer service is excellent.

I have been flying DCS at very high quality options for 9 months with BsB v1. PC has RTX 4090, 64GB RAM and runs at constant 75 FPS with no stutters or issues. Very good video graphics, but FOV is not the greatest.

I am well versed in flying the Hornet, but decided to try the Viper on 2 week trial. I forgot how onerous the task of setting up my controllers to fly a modern jet. The Hornet has separate Comms menus for its 2 radios COM 1 and COM 2; however, the only comms menu keybind I can find for Viper is \, which invokes an INTERCOM menu. Does a method exist to display menus for the UHF and VHF radios? Or does INTERCOM cover all menu communications?

I can not find information on use of these functions in the controller options assignment window: key binds that use <>, keybinds that use / How do they differ?? What is proper use of right-click menu "Add Combo"?

My PC specs RTX-4090 and Ryzen 7 7800X3D. I have tried all the DLSS4 tweaks including the DCS option quality and performance selections; and, honestly, I don't find the graphic anomalies, though quite subtle, worth the penalties, distant airplane spotting especially. I admit that shimmering disappeared almost completely, but a bit of shimmering is only apparent during ground ops. DLSS4 may be of greater value in a less robust PC. My $.02.

I think maybe the first use of BsB one needs to install and start Steam, go through all the Steam settings, and in the Steam program choose ENTER VR in the upper right corner of Steam window. In DCS settings choose the appropriate VR choices. After that initial setup, one can start DCS in VR mode from the DCS desktop icon and SteamVR will automatically initiate in OpenXR without the Steam program. I have best results limiting FPS to 75 on the BsB app.

64 GB ram is big assist for VR. I am agnostic regarding CPU's, but AMD x3d CPU's best for gaming atm. Regarding HMD's MeganeX 8K seems worth considering, if you have the budget (1800 USD for HMD only). Word up, tho, pre-orders are non-refundable.

Does one need to run the DLSSTweakConfig after each DCS update?

I can only say that a stutter free experience is achievable with current generation hardware. My PC specs are similar to Panzerlang's, except my CPU is Ryzen 7800X3D. RTX 4090 and 64 MB DDR4. My headset is BigScreen Beyond bound to 75 FPS, most DCS settings set near max. I have no stutters or apparent FPS issues flying a Hornet low in busy multiplayer server missions, mostly PG map.

Your procedure might benefit others.

My use case is flying the Hornet in VR on public multi-player servers where ground target locations are only generally known and the player has no opportunity to use the ME route planning feature. Route and target planning are done on the F10 map in the game. I have therefore reverted to version 2.4.2, which suits my needs.

I guess a BOTH option would be beneficial, but how does the jet know which WP are for nav and which for Weps? The keybinds are higher priority IMO, if at all possible. Appreciate your efforts. Merry Christmas.

theWay 2.5.7: After saving my navigation waypoints I have a keybind to transfer those WP to the Hornet. With 2.5.7, however, I must now break VR and alt-tab to The Way so I can answer the "Input PP YES NO" question prior to commanding the transfer. Does a more convenient procedure exist?? A YES/NO keybind would be a big help. I have watched the YouTube vid on how to use the new Hornet weapon coordinate input procedure, but the vid has no verbal instructions and I am a little confused. AFAIK one must Transfer the mission navigation waypoints to the jet. Clear those WP from theWay window. Save (or retrieve from a file) the desired weapon coordinates as a new set of WP in theWay. Navigate the MFD to the Weapon/MSN/PP# page. Initiate coordinate transfer. Answer INPUT PP question YES. Is this the proper/best procedure?

Prior to 2.9.10 the wing fold "Fold/Hold" keybind pulled the wing fold handle, then rotated to fold the wings with one key press. Now it merely pulls the handle.

What is the procedure to trap and relaunch? I understand the pilot must follow parking directions. Then what? Shut down? Restart? Request taxi?

Speech is controlled by these files: "DCS World\Scripts\Speech\common_events.lua" and "DCS World\Scripts\Speech\common.lua" Elements of speech for player and AI can be eliminated by commenting out ( -- ) the speech statements you want silenced. You will probably need to experiment a little. I have silenced wingman "Mudspike" calls, for one example.
