Seeing everyone is making Hornet skins like crazy, ive gone off the reservation and made this. I think it looks pretty good, sometimes its hard not to see outside the grey !

Nothing big and brilliant just a couple of Iran Airlines planes static models skins I made to set up around the Iran airfields and Island Air strips, please feel free for anyone to use them. skins are ready at user files or just click on my link at the bottom of this post.

Truth is stranger than fiction, it could be the way the painters held the decal / stencil what ever they use these days, maybe as simple as that.

No probs ouPhrontis, the group I fly with have been trapping with this for a couple of days now and we have been having a "ball" ( pardon the pun) but its great, and our traps have been improving outa sight, we also have a bloke doing the LSO and its great entertainment value, I think Jar wants to see some vid feedback as well, so when we wont embarrass ourselves any further we might put one together for a laugh.

Re - did my old RAAF 2 OCU Mirage Skin: the cam pattern is slightly different and pilots helmet:

I dont know if im on the right track here Eddie but would making a new "Bump" map from the Diffuse texture you made be the answer ? Here is a link to an online Normal map converter, http://cpetry.github.io/NormalMap-Online/ give it a try but then I am probably right off the mark. I just converted a diff texture to a PNG and run it thru , resaved as DDS and got a result in that it changed something. Maybe this can help. I have also used Nvidia Tools Norml map filter.

My take on a Mirage from 77 Sqn RAAF The "Grumpy Monkey " its uploaded, should be ready for DL soon. The unit motto is "Swift to Destroy" and the crest features an oriental temple lion , a legacy of No. 77 Squadron's role in the Korean War. Nicknamed the "grumpy monkey", the lion represents "a defender of peace, which, when disturbed, is swift to destroy". :
