  1. Not exactly... :-D Skickat från min D5803 via Tapatalk
  2. The gun snake is a classic. I remember it from Falcon 4 add well. I recall it was quite convenient.
  3. I also have this, is it the crash we're talking about here?
  4. I think that clip is from LOMAC. Don't know if the same effects are in DCS?
  5. I just realised that the guy (on the Swedish forum) was talking about "our Viggens", as in there being more than one of them. Maybe, like is the case with the Tomcat, they are doing more than one version. If we're getting both the AJ, the JA and maybe even the AJS, that would indeed be jaw dropping. Getting both serious sea and ground strike capability as well as mutiple air target engagement capability with Sky Flash would make it a bunch of interesting platforms in the current DCS World environment.
  6. When flying A-10C quick missions, I've often been hit and crippled by Mi-24 gunfire and/or missiles. Might have more to do with DCS AI sniper gunners than anything else though... ;-)
  7. Have you seen the progress on their Mirage 2000?
  8. Good question. Looks a bit like an Asraam but not quite.
  9. Even as a Swede, I wouldn't mind a Tornado IDS given how badly DCS needs deep strike aircraft. However, as far as speculation goes, the case for an LNS Tornado is rather weak.
  10. Regarding company registration, their contact page says the following: "Leatherneck Simulations is a registered trademark of Rental Punkt Suprema Sp. Z o.o. (LLC)" Doesn't sound like a Swedish company.
  11. It has already been answered in this thread but no. The C-model is a fighter with only limited A2G capability.
  12. This has been debated here and in the "included theatre" topic (F-14 forum). A southern Baltic sea map would be a more natural habitat for the Viggen (or any Swedish aircraft). However, the name of a town/village in northern Norway (Lofoten area?) was shown in one of the terrain tool videos. So unless that was some kind of test or a map being made for one of the professional products using EDGE, it would seem that a northern Scandinavia map is in the works by someone... I'm hoping for both but would be happy with either.
  13. Oh, and just to be sure, I checked: A harrier is a kind of hawk and not any sort of duck. :-P
  14. I consider it rather unlikely that LNS would release a complete modern multi role aircraft, especially any kind of Hornet, before ED's F/A-18C.
  15. Now the site is down again. This time with a message from their ISP, which by the way seems to be Swedish.
  16. Leatherneck site seems down. Hopefully for updating. :-)
  17. I've had problems with this in the editor vs in the sim. Even though the waypoint altitude is set to 0 AGL in editor, the waypoint in mission ends up in the air.
  18. Maybe it would be possible to mod the RATO bottles in the Mig-21 to be pointed forward? ;-)
  19. More clues: - There was talk about an aircraft with a duck-related nickname and "Viggen" is Swedish for both "the tufted duck", and "the (thunder)bolt". - Leatherneck recently added a bunch of Swedes to the team.
  20. That's right, it's now August. ;-) ;-) :-P B-)
  21. Not if the ALARMs rocket down from their parachutes the moment they light up their radars... :-)
  22. One suggestion: It would be nice to see the new ground unit visibility with the different options, including with the enhancements completely off. At least from screenshots it seems like it now would be easier to spot ground units even before those "icons" kick in. Maybe the contrast is better? Granted, huge semi trailers on a Vegas highway is something else than a BMP in a forest...
  23. Well, the difference is that the Romanian Air Force has used both the original Mig-21 and the Mig-29, while the only hardware in Swedish service that I can think of in the current sim would be the Leo 2 tank and possibly the Hawk SAM (do we have that one?). Sure, on its own it doesn't mean much, but it adds to the general picture that already pointed to the Viggen.
