  1. Well, at least in Europe then. Regardless, Cobra is a Swede like me, so the point is still valid. :-)
  2. In most of the world, Sunday is the last day of the week.
  3. I thought the L-39 already had it implemented?
  4. Any chance of a new ETA for when you will make the official announcement?
  5. Actually, wasn't the announcement, when it was first "announced", due sometime March/April last year? :-D Still, with the amount of details released this New Year, about the aircraft itself, and the progress, the "few weeks" seemed more credible than before. Oh well... Good thing I'm preoccupied with studying for my PPL.
  6. Still, a "Viggen"-announcement was "a few weeks away" or something like that around New Years. So it should be any time now...?
  7. Well, the Swedish convention has long been green for inert munitions and blue for live practise ones. Ie a munition that is not meant to be fired or dropped is green, while for example cheap/safe cannon practise rounds without explosive component (other than propellant) would be blue. Where we have really differed are the blank rounds, that we've had in red, which by NATO standard means tracer.
  8. Well, the "vanilla-vanish" system sure isn't realistic at all, so calling being physically able to spot something, that a real pilot could, a "cheat" or even an aid sounds wrong to me. But of course, "eyeball radar" makes no sense either. Really, what is the technical limitation to making a system that makes sense and isn't all too hardware dependant?
  9. That announcement (the Viggen) is supposed to be more around the corner. Of course, that has been the case since like last March/April... ;-)
  10. I suppose that, given the number of Swedes on the LN team, it wouldn't be surprising if more flyable Saab aircraft are either planned or in the making (long term). As pointed out, the Draken would be a good match for the Mig-21. Also, it would be interesting to match the J-29 Tunnan against the Mig-15 and - hypothetically - the Sabre.
  11. And... When are you going to "announce" this...? ;-)
  12. It is possible that they were "talked down" by a radar operator (using a specifically designed mobile radar unit, not normal ATC), much like the "ball" on an aircraft carrier.
  13. Maybe not, but doing that area to the standard set by ED with the NTTR would probably be quite some undertaking. I'd love to see it, of course. :-)
  14. Trouble is, that would include several major urban areas...
  15. I recall it's a professional simulator using EDGE.
  16. Is there any weapons functionality in that simulator?
  17. It could be one of the videos on Wags YouTube channel. However judging by the titles, those seem to be centered around the design of buildings, so it might not be. The video showed someone editing shorelines on the map.
  18. Also, there is a terrain editor video out there showing somebody working on a map including a town/village in the Lofoten region in northern Norway.
  19. The article was from the online newspaper of a revolutionary neo-nazi organisation. You won't be missing it.
  20. Fighters should be pointy. The Viggen is the pointiest there is. :-D

I wonder how hard the data currently used is...?
