  1. I had to click on Wags again in order to get to his Twitch profile where the was a choice for previous broadcasts.
  2. I couldn't help but notice that Wags 28 June stream showed Sweden in the list of neutral countries in the mission editor. :-) Edit: Now, he also mentioned that most of the countries were yet to be "populated" with units. However, while most other countries could somehow be represented by "generic" Western/Soviet units that already exist in the sim, putting Sweden in the mix would only make sense if some of our rather unique units would be in the pipeline).
  3. The question is, does Matt Wagner refer to "real" UTC or to current "London time", which would be UTC +1 (due to daylight saving time)?
  4. Could there be an issue as to whether you use simplified or realistic comms? Not that I have figured out much difference?
  5. Maybe something for CA? Is there even a real manual out for that stuff?
  6. I have the feeling that the NTTR map (you really can't call it a "theatre") will sooner or later become the free DCS World map. Maybe along with a few more of the FC3 aircraft. After all it would be perfect for showing off the sim to new customers and for letting them test run the TF-51, the SU-25T and maybe the F-15 (why hold on to it when the F/A-18 is released?). For playing a real war you would need some other map anyway. Beyond that, I agree with the previous poster in that there probably is a risk of fragmentation and chaos online...
  7. I think there is a way to save default coalitions for new missions in the editor. Maybe those would carry over to the quick mission generator? Also, I think you can also generate a mission from within the editor, though I'm not sure if that helps.
  8. Probably Rowan's Overlord. That, or Flight Unlimited, which I tried to run on a 486DX2@66 MHz. I had to return the sim to the kind dealer.
  9. Do you mean if we keep the dual throttles locked together or not? For the A-10C I don't, for most others, I do. I reckon I want an equal wear and tear on both axes even when flying single engine.
  10. Yes, but according to description by those who saw Cobra's brief avatar, it was the tip of an rb04. So if it was meant as a clue, or would point to an aircraft SC able to carry the rb04, ie. AJ 37 or A 32.
  11. I've had the same problem (unsure of DSMS indication though) with GPS/INS munitions after a quick start-up.
  12. The picture was just the tip of an rb04 missile, so it could be a Lansen. However, the Lansen is a two-seater with the navigator responsible for some crucial but probably crude 50s/60s avionics. So it seems unlikely given that multicrew isn't ready yet and they're developing Jester AI for the Tomcat.
  13. Noob-(ish) question: what replay/ACMI software is that from?
  14. I can't recall (or find in the forums) what Cobra/LN said earlier about the order of release for their three modules. Were the two still unknown modules supposed to be released before or after the Tomcat?
  15. It was built to sink Soviet ships and shoot down Migs. Who doesn't wanna do that? ;-)
  16. Are you using the correct mic switch command (forward or aft depending on whether you want VHF FM or AM, down for UHF)?
  17. Now, as people have pointed out, a plausible scenario involving the Viggen, would require a map including or at least close to Sweden. The natural choice would of course be a southern Baltic Sea theatre. However, we've also seen videos with people working on a northern Norway map in the ED terrain tools. One thing to consider here is that the northern Norway/North Cape area doesn't leave many or (even any) Swedish air bases near the probable AOR. Of course, one could dream up a (alternate history) scenario where Swedish forces assist Nato forces in a battle around the North Cape while operating from Norwegian bases, but it sure wouldn't be optimal. Anyway, this might suggest that the small, cold and oceany theatre that has been mentioned is a northern Norway/North Cape area for the Tomcat and that a more expansive south Baltic will follow later on. As for "supporting" units (in the sense of units forming possible scenarios), Finland operates the F/A-18 (albeit, until recently, as the F-18, in fighter capacity only). Also, AI-wise, Norway and Denmark has the F-16. Opponent wise, the Mig-21 and the AJ 37 would probably be a good match-up. That said, for the AJ 37 not to seem lonely, you would need AI versions of either the J 35 Draken or the JA 37 Viggen. All this assumes they're making the AJ 37 in the first place...
  18. Or if you're picky about which station you wish to use.
  19. Perhaps one could classify the AJS 37 as multirole. However it still carried only short range A2A missiles.
  20. The AJS upgrade came quite late and i think details might still be classified. However, the original AJ 37 carried AIM-9B (Rb 24).
  21. I suspected that's how you meant. :-)
  22. That however, I think is an Rb 15, the successor of the Rb 04. Anyway, if it was an Rb 04 you people are probably right in that it narrows down the airframes to either the A 32 or the AJ 37. One thing of interest is that the A 32 was a two seater with quite an advanced avionics package including some kind of dual radar systems. I wouldn't cry over a 32, but I think the 37, aka "attack Viggen" would be a better fit given it's a more modern single seater. Also, the AJ could pave the road for the JA 37. For all of the abovementioned aircraft, something like a southern Baltic Sea theatre would be almost necessary. I would imagine Gotland, a stripe of SE mainland Sweden and a strip of the Baltic countries coastlines would do the trick.
  23. Can someone please describe exactly what was in Cobra's avatar, for those of us that missed it? Just the text "TRYCK EJ HÄR" or what?
