Yes. Screenshot of the HUD might tell something. Press the Print Screen button of your keyboard and the capture will end up in "C:\Users\<your name>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\ScreenShots". Attach it to your next message.

Strange. Master Arm and Gun/Pac enabled? You cannot see any Gun Reticle? If you for example try to change Gun Sights (DMS Right or Left Short when HUD is SOI) from normal CCIP to Gun Cross or to 4/8/12 Reticle? Can you cycle NAV -> GUNS -> CCIP -> CCRP with Master Mode Control Button? If you go to DSMS, can you see Maverics? If you can, what's their status? OFF, ALN, RDY, STBY, FLAPS?

Funny, that idea never occurred to me. I just wanted to have a separate touch screen with Helios and all the switches, buttons, levers and handles. The problem with multiple (rather large) displays is that you must make some arrangements to get them nicely placed on your desk. For example, if you wanna have your main screen on top of your touch screen, the normal stand may not be enough. So, I have chosen only monitors which have the VESA 100 mounting interface. Just like cichlidfan. You can then buy for example a special stand for three monitors. All monitors don't have VESA mount. Last year I also saw some Viewsonic touch screens available. But now it seems my favourite dealers don't have them any more.

Maybe you have seen this video before, but you could check it out again: And if you take off from some airport, I don't know if it is necessarily "friendly". To make sure, add some friendly unit(s).

Cannot locate the off-topic. Almost the same price tag as with my HP. I'm also a very happy customer.
-
Happened to me as well.

Seems that there are not a very wide repertory of 1920 x 1080 23"-24" touch screens at the moment. Maybe they are not that popular products. Don't know the situation in New Zealand. edit: I have a 23" HP, price was some 300 eur last year.

Yes. Helios with touch screen is an alternative. Some users even prefer these "virtual TM Cougar MFDs" to hardware ones. You don't need velcro tape. Some users think that real buttons are better. It's your choice. See the pic of Helios screen with MFDs: I have both TM Cougar MFDs and touch screen. So, I removed the MFDs from my Helios screen and have my Cougars attached to an inexpensive Acer screen. All other buttons and switches and knobs are fully functional on the touch screen.

Almost any screen will do. Just attach the MFDs with velcro tape.

I've seen that before, just didn't remember. Anyway, AAR while orbit is not an easy task. And maybe not even meant to be an easy one. :smilewink:

Thanks, GG, once again!

Thanks, GG. Just wasn't sure because it's kinda hard. Does the tanker crew tell you a few seconds before they are going to turn/orbit? Feels kinda sudden move to me.
-
As I mentioned before, the turning points are really challenging. I wonder if they even refuel while orbiting, IRL I mean? All the videos I've seen are straight line ones. Anyway, your last video seems pretty much like me! :D You were way too much unpatient, no anticipation at all. But that was so long time ago. You have learned your lessons pretty well. You perform f**king nicely now!

One of my first Air Refuellings... a different perspective...

No offence meant, whatsoever, but... a question for all you guys who keep uploading stuff to youtube: Why do you ruin your vidz with crap muzak? -
Try the one called RefuelNightFairWeather.miz included in the attached .zip. That should be a long nite time racetrack. I think you have to change the properties of one of the A-10C planes to "Player" in the ME to get going. And you must find the tanker with TACAN using right channel and AA-mode. The tanker is quite far away when you start the mission. And use DAY mode with goggles, it's much better. Trust me. :) AAR.zip
-
That went nice as well! If the tanker is flying along kind of sports track shaped route, I find that a bit challenging. I mean the points when the tanker starts/ends its turn. And with night vision goggles I prefer switching the HUDMODE to the green DAY mode instead of amber NIGHT. Green looks better with goggles. When I switch off the goggles, then I choose the amber NIGHT mode.

Square, nothing but a square? No line extending from the square? Actually, your designated target should be: With HUD: Tadpole With TAD: Wedding Cake

Reminds me of my experiences with AAR: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1355947&postcount=168 :)

Actually, very nice stick and throttle control, no oscillating or panic at all! Looked good! In orbit, nite time. :joystick:

Thanks for the pics, they are OK now!
-
I don't know if it's just me, but cannot open/see those pics...

Or maybe you just contact TM tech support and ask them if they... Plan A: ...could send you a new stick handle as a spare part or Plan B:... could fix both 1. the wires you happened to cut, and 2. the original problem either with firmware update or hardware update if you send them the stick.
-
Thought about soldering, but after seeing the pics from this site http://www.simhq.com/_technology3/technology_174b.html the wires seem to be rather strained and there is hardly enough room to operate, or is there?
-
Maybe you'd better contact the Thrustmaster tech support. I have heard they have very good reputation when it comes to customer service. EDIT: Or maybe you should try Firmware Force Update???? Don't know... See this FAQ http://www.warthogworld.com/hangar/showthread.php?49-FAQ Also: http://www.warthogworld.com/hangar/showthread.php?167-How-do-I-force-firmware-flash

Tell us your current memory settings, especially voltage and timings. Does your mobo use memory AUTO settings? XMP profile?
