  1. ya, I remember hearing about someone doing this, I think they had to do something in what was called the alfa layer, other than that I cannot really help. I do not know if in the alfa channel you can change the transparency or not...
  2. So I guess my only question is then, how do you make Lockon, or anything for that matter, in windowed mode?
  3. So in lockon on I was really impressed with the ability to heavily mod the game, and by that I mean stuff like change random stuff through .lua files. Anyway, I think I have heard, or i guess I am assuming that we will still have that ability, but my question is will we be able to do so in the game so we can see our changes imediatly. I hate having to change the position of the weapons in the meinit.xml file in lockon. Granted i dont really understand the concept and cannot guess well, but would that be something that we could change in a menu and the fly it or something becuase it really stinks when you input values, start up the game and see what you did. Then when you have it wrong, you have to end the game, open the file, make a change and restart, the process just keeps on going and going. Does anyone know if this is a possibility, since I know that ED has pretty much redone the enitre interface?
  4. I understand your point highwayman, but wouldnt you agree that most military pilots pretty much know EVERYTHING that will happen through out their mission? On the other note, when that doesnt happen, then things go wrong, but intel basically makes ops easier, infact aircraft wont fly without the right intel to back it up, correct?

  6. If you just fly, then I would get them, but I sometimes like to race, so i use my racing wheel petals for my rudders, and the work fine!
  7. Well, at sim-mod we dont want to throw around any dates. Let me say though, that we have resolved many issues and bugs as we seem to be getting there. The end is in sight, we just aint there yet.
  8. Ya dude, the dsl works great for gaming. My brother and I play battlefield 2 together on the same servers all the time, same internet connection. I dont need to be a speed demon so it works for me. I even had 3 computers on this conection once and still had a ping of 90 on a server in Europe. Lockon works just the same, as do almost all the games I play! Also Right now i couldnt tell ya what fsb i am running on my ram.

  11. I had that problem, and didnt realize it was with grandsurf's mod. I asked here, and if you look, there are some new textures to replace. Just to let you know, I am a beta tester for LOReload, of which grandsurfs textures are a part of, and that problem no longer exists, even without those fixed textures you will see in the link. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=26839&highlight=funky The only thing is you have to wait until the people over at sim-mod decide to release LOReload in some form. (As in I do not know if a beta is planned like grandsurf has beta 2 out, or if they will wait until they have completly finished what they intended to fix/change.)

  14. Hey super, while I do not know if you remember this, and maybe kato knows something I dont, but that argument only works at high speeds and high AoA. I lockon, the A-10 flight model never breaks those barriers AFAIK.
  15. I cannot get this mod to work. I find all the code in the schruttables.sht file and transfer them to mine. I then go into lockon, but none of them show up. Also, every single building is gone. I thought that it might have been conflicting with MBots static objects pack, but I think that there is also another issue. I am wondering if someone can tell me exactly what to put into the file and where it goes. Then if it is conflicting with something else, I wonder if monotwix or someone can shed some light on this. I really cannot just replace my schructables.com PS- I found out that MBOTS and Monotiwix's mods share some of the same index = #. Hope this helps to shed some light...
  16. Pretty much self explanetory. I self edited the meinit.xml, graphics.cfg, and strucctable.sht files, and I can see the object showing up in the mission editor, but not with the game itself. I appreciate any insight into this.

  18. Birdy can I ask, since I am in a squad that doesnt use this, but I do, how can I make it so that the merzifon airbase mod doesnt place ne on the wrong side of the map?

  21. That sounds like a good idea, but I think ED is trying to get away from the copyright issues with Flaming Cliffs. That is part of the reason we wouldnt have that terrain or any of the flyables from flaming cliffs.
