It might be early, but q on the a10 dcs plan
warthogmadman987 replied to grandkodiak's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Sobek, you are inncorrect. I know for a fact that the A-10A and C variants can drop LGB's, but not by themselves. When A-10's do this they must have another type of aircraft or personel on the ground laze the target. But it is possible. About JDAM's I am not sure, but I wouldn't be suprised if it is also possible. But you are right in saying that you will see everything the real a-10 is capable of! -
How many hours wil you use on DCS
warthogmadman987 replied to zakobi's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Well, as of right now, it would probably be 1.5 hours or less. Depeding on when it is released though, I am definitly going to take a day or two off from college classes. I already have that planned! -
I agree on everything that has been said up to this point! Welcome to the community mate!

I know that this is not really what you guys want to hear, but sometimes when I am board I will have liveatc.net streaming while I am playing lockon. It really adds.
-
Yea, right now we are having problems with our forums. Seems like there is a bug or something. ATM, I myself am trying to find a place to download the simmod stuff, cause I accidentally deleted that folder! Seems like lockonfiles is down though, so I will have to hunt around.

Dissimular DCS modules at multiplayer?
warthogmadman987 replied to Pilotasso's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Ok, then I think that it is appropriate to ask... We have seen WIP shots of the A-10, apache, F-16, and what not. I keep hearing about the new game engine from ED. Have they also already started this? That's my big question. -
I am sure that it depends whether the airfield is located in a hostile terrain, correct? That would be the only legit reason I think.
-
Damn. I most the stuff on here I can understand and grasp well, but every time we come up to the F-16 and different air to air radar modes, I begin to feel really stupid.:helpsmilie: I need to sit down some lonely and cold night and google this junk. :smartass:

Something in the works :)
warthogmadman987 replied to Glowing_Amraam's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Really, My dad has no probs with his, purrs like a kitten, and is damn good I think. You never know, sometimes you can get a bad card, I had a 3870 and had to RMA after 4 months. Just fried it, and I wasnt overclocking or anything... -
I have a feeling that this community is so dedicated, that they are willing to pay a little bit of a price, and I know for a fact that there are 3rd parties in this community willing to do this stuff for the community for free. While it may seem a little hindering, I look at all this stuff we could use as a blessing. Much needed to be able to keep quality up too I am sure.

Yea, I think that hte last that anyone has heard from him was when he said that he was almost finished with that beautiful F-5 he was working on, but he seems to have vanished. He has done that before though, make a few posts, and then disapear for a while.

ModMan 6.4 - Feature list (temp)
warthogmadman987 replied to Skypat's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Yes I am:P -
I guess that I do not know if you are asking a question, but if so, I am assuming that the manual WILL be released as a PDF. Usually this is the option of many game devs these days. Also, there was one for Vanilla Lockon and Flaming Cliffs, so it think they will not change the past in this circumstance...

ModMan 6.4 - Feature list (temp)
warthogmadman987 replied to Skypat's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
It would be really nice if modman had a drag and drop feature. That's just me though... -

Haha, nobody yet has voted for July. I guess that would make it a pretty safe bet for me to sign off and say that I'll see you guys in August!:D

Printable Cockpit Layout?
warthogmadman987 replied to warthogmadman987's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Well I guess either way whether ED comes out with it, or someone else, I am sure that I will use it when it comes... -
Just checking, I am assuming that there will be a printable cockpit layout page? You know, how like in FC where we had a keyboard layout that would could print, well with a clickable cockpit it would also be nice to not only have a layout of the keyboard with shortcuts, but one also of the Ka-50 cockpit, with all the buttons and stuff labeled. Is there any chance we could see the pre-released like the manual is hoped, maybe even planned to be?

I just uninstalled the mod in modman, but if you replaced it without backing it up, you may have to reinstall lockon.

High Flight By John Gillespie Magee, Jr. (Killed In The Battle Of Britian, Age 19) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Portions Of This Lovely Poem Appear On The Headstones Of Many Interred In Arlington National Cemetery, Patricularly Aviators And Astronauts -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth, And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air. "Up, up the long delirious burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace, where never lark, or even eagle, flew; and, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of God."
