be warned, While Vegas 8 can do that, it isnt "good" at it. I have never tried, but if you want something that is "better" then i would recommend a programm called Ultra. I dont know if you can buy it seperatly, (it comes bundled in Adobe CS3) If not, that I hear that Premiere and After Effects do a better job, but for a heftier price. Basically what I am trying to say is, yes there is green screen stuff, but it aint really good. I hear from people that it is a pain in the butt, and felt like they waisted their money. Anyway, I bet you like Vegas. It sounds like you dont want it mainly for the green screen, so I would recommend it. Extremely user freindly. Hope you like which ever you get...

I doubt that they painted it with the cockpit open. I think it is more likely that they painted the canopy when it was not attached to the aircraft. Or maybe the painter is trying to fool you into thinking he is drunk but really it is his master scheme to screw up all the paint jobs he can!!!!!:D:D OR it could be photoshopped. Take your pick

While I agree that with the reasons of the Merzifon airbase, only it is a real bugger when you take off 300 nautical miles away from your sqaudmates!

OK, I am going to rant here for a bit. From what has been said in the FAQ and from word of mouth, I am sure that ED has their future planned far into the future. Not to rag on Chrono, but I really do not like seeing all these threads with what ED should do next. They already know what they are doing next. If they wanted to know what the community wanted I am sure they would ask. But IMHO it seems like it is getting really whiny around here. Granted I also understand that many people are just wishing to express their opinions, but IMHO it is getting overboard. Just my 2cents

is it possible to model some different trees and make them as destroyable static objects? I would think that you might even be able to just make a t-like thin model like the tree, and when you skin it, would be the same skins as the textures for the trees right now. I do not know if this is possible with my limited knowledge of modeling in lockon. (Or just modeling period). I also know that it would be impossible to place all the trees, but if we had the ability to just place a few ourselves in the mission editor near target areas might just add for some wild crashes. Just brainstorming.

You ought to know though, after effects is very very time consuming, hard to understand.

ya, maybe dr. shocker was thinking of the 184. Modelling the 184 would have been neat, but you are right, really no point. I love the 131 though. This a-10 will look rockin...

I believe you are thinking of this http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/equip/an-alq-199.htm It is rarley used on the a-10 to my knowledge, compared to the 131. I also know that it is not in lockon, so that may be where you are confused. The 199 is a much more elongated, but was not what was modeled here. http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/equip/an-alq-131.htm That is what they were shooting for.

The more I look at it the more I think they cockpit is way to big.

not to sound pushy, but remodeling the aim-9 launcher on the a-10 would be sweet as well.
