I thought you might like these as well. I like very much the color scheme of the L-39 in the first post. Really, really nice scheme.

Well, weather is pretty good in LockOn. Put some 15 m/s lateral wind and try to take off and land in SU-25T. I bet it will take more than one try to put it down with only one flat tire :D

Here's a reputation point from me :D

No complaints here :music_whistling: -

F version must be the ugliest shape 21 ever had. Must be an MF/bis or something. It's like a Chinese J. -

Yes,basically on exterior the LanceR is a MF. With extremely minor differences(if there are any). -

For that, I think it worth a 21 model ... They will be phased out in 3 years or something. -
Is there a way to fly Mig-21 with lock on
Zayets replied to Zoltar's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2

Fly towards the bogey illuminating. You can use thermals within 15-20 km radius. Problem is that these does not make distinction between enemy and friendly. So you will still have to rely on AWACS or radar to identify the bogey. Of course, if you know sure that there is an enemy then fire and go home.

Yes,the "old" big map has basically no details on it. Not even the border Russia-Georgia. Basically useless in flight, unless you want of course a nice wall painting (I respect the work of its authors, but I can't use that map, sorry). I'm looking forward to the new map and I hope that can be sliced in such a manner that I can print its sections on A4 and bind them together to make a nice kneeboard map.

The only thing wrong is that PS3(in Europe) and Vista have an estimate date. For the rest , no comment.

Actually, flying X-Planes made easier for me the passage from Mig-29 to Su-25T. If only I have time for X-Planes too. But I don't :(

I'll pay big money for a Linux dedicated.

Show me a photo on the final with that Israeli F15 and I will believe from that day on.Until then...

I have played yesterday a mission and was painted by a Mig-23. All I can say is the fact that at the beginning of the arc,the Mig was at 90-95 km and at the middle was at40-45 km. I know for sure, because there was me and that Mig only in the air. I can do a track as well to prove it.

There are quite some places where you could modify this information. Maybe next time you can be a bit specific where this info can be changed. Here's just a part of graphics.cfg.Maybe you can tell us where did you change it.I assume it is on Medium section,but that's just me. Camera { current = "High"; Low { near_clip = 4; far_clip = 60000; structures = {40, 20000}; trees = {60000, 3000}; dynamic = {300, 20000}; objects = {3000, 40000}; mirage = {3000, 10000}; surface = {10000, 50000}; lights = {50, 10000}; lod = 0.7; } Medium { near_clip = 0.2; middle_clip = 4; far_clip = 80000; structures = {40, 20000}; trees = {100000, 8000}; dynamic = {300, 20000}; objects = {3000, 50000}; mirage = {3000, 15000}; surface = {14000, 80000}; lights = {100, 30000}; lod = 1; } High { near_clip = 0.2; middle_clip = 4; far_clip = 80000; structures = {200, 10000}; trees = {200000, 20000}; dynamic = {300, 20000}; objects = {5000, 80000}; mirage = {5000, 20000}; surface = {20000, 80000}; lights = {200, 80000}; lod = 1.5; } }

Good job! Just a work of advice for the ones wanting to buy now a PSP. Should you buy one today means that you will look at a PSP with firmware 2.6+. These being said ,means that you can't use LUA player (ATM) even if you are on 2.6 and you try to use GTA hack. That's because Sony tried to take off the market the UMDs issued with that exploit. LUA player (and any other homebrew apps) will work without a problem on 1.5 (and I heard 2.0) and while you can try downgrading your PSP, this is not reccomended because : 1 ) you run the risk to brick the PSP 2 ) simply not possible with the newest MOBOs. The best thing is to wait until the guys will crack the new firmware to give actual kernel access. That'll be the breakthrough.

Missile slider and 'realism', what do you think?
Zayets replied to JEFX's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
How can we know how accurate are the missiles in RL except from pilots accounts? I'll take their word anytime. If they said the missiles are missing a lot, then I believe them. So far there's no game that managed to simulate fabrication errors, bad maintenance, missfires etc. I guess that a random variable can be a real solution. -
What you think about this BS or not ?
Zayets replied to wsoul2k's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I never misinterpret something on purpose. On the other hand I do interpret om purpose everything ;) You see, we are talking figures that no one can prove. Nobody can say for sure that now or in the future a F22 will wipe out 4-6 F16 in each sortie. And I agree with you, it is not a realistic scenario, but not because they will fly along F15 and F16. F22 may have in the future adversaries like the F16. It is unrealistic scenario because I don't think that the number of aircrafts in the air will be that big in order to allow any uber plane to shot down 4-6 enemy aircrafts on each sortie. We are talking here only about the air combat but lets not forget that the conflicts have more than one theater. While I agree that who has the air superiority have mainly won the battle it won't be a final vitory until you actually put the foot on the ground. And there, aircrafts are out of discussion :) If an aircraft landed then well, it is like the fish out of the water :) -

Zayets replied to wsoul2k's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
You have two sentences that contradicts themselves. On one hand maintanance cost is key and on the other hand maintenance costs can be as much as it is as long as the airforce doesn't drop out of the sky. It makes perfect sense that Raptor maintenance is more expensive than Viper.Even if they are built with maintenance in mind.Reducing the cost of it , that is. Also, your statement (the one that includes WTF) doesn't contradict me. I said parts, not aircrafts which can be in a VERY bad shape but still useful for spare parts. -

Zayets replied to wsoul2k's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Not necessary. You can canibalize 1/5 of them for spare parts reducing also the maintenance hours/costs :D. Besides ,how much is the maintenance of a Viper compared with the Raptor. Because if we speak about maintenance then let's calculate it correct. -

Zayets replied to wsoul2k's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
If the costs are right,then give me 1800 F16 instead 200 F22 :D -
Bored? Well, here's a UFO vs some MiG21's...
Zayets replied to ARM505's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
If that's an interception flight why did they took of with empty pylons? And I guess you migh be right, that seat doesn't look like the KM-1/M to me. -
I didn't. However it is a pain to make LUA player work on 2.6 and it is really random that you will get it working on this firmware. I can downgrade to 1.5 but I wonder if the effort worth. Maybe we will get a player that's compatible with 2.6/7/8 some day.

OK, you know what, I will wait for you to finish and then maybe you can share this fine piece of software with us ;) And that includes setup infos :P BTW : for firmware 2.0+ in order to make Lua player work you must own GTA umd.I thought I'd say that before anyone tries to play with lua and nothing will work.
