  1. Update on this: For me at least, since hotfix, radios are now working as they should, IE I can hear the tanker responses. So the outstanding bug / issue is regarding the pre set channels and the indicator dials not showing the correct pre sets.....
  2. As title, am told this is the case….. ( app and rdr CPU are reporting very low and app GPU barely registers) Is this so ? It is what I am seeing, but ……….
  3. Yes! it has now got lost back on page 4 in all these conversations about DLSS, but did you see my query regarding radical performance change ( at least as reported by the OXRTK FPS Counter) when tweaking settings in the companion app? I also had a query regarding generating a log file to look further into what I am experiencing. An aquaintance in my flight school who is also a graphics engineer did say that QVFR breaks the OXRTK FPS counter.....is this the case? I have been using QVFR for around 2 months now and had not noticed any issues with the counter prior to my tweaking settings. However since, as I said, the results its reporting are very improved..... Something else that may be relevant, is that prior to the tweaks, I never had any stutters or noticeable loading pauses. However, while it runs super smooth now, with very low frame times, I did, right over Nellis on our school server, where there are many many objects etc, notice 2 or 3 1 - 2 second pauses, where the app CPU frame time jumped from under 1ms to mid twenties.....I never had this before so something has changed in the way my system loads and renders stuff. I am also ONLY running any changes from default in 2 places - the desktop Oculus software, where I have set slider full right, 1.3 x supersampling, which is unchanged and the settings in QVFR companion app.....thats it. Thanks for your great work with this tool, really transformed my DCS VR experience.
  4. Hi, just started using this great utility, I wondered if it was possible to change the default values for autorotation angles so I dont have to do this every time it starts? I looked in the program files folder, but could not find a relevant config file I could edit...... Thanks!
  5. Hi, I would appreciate some help in understanding what is happening with my system and performance currently. Following MBucchia reply to my questions further up the thread, I have made some changes to my settings as follows: I read a thread in the DCS forums yesterday where someone was saying they had better results using single threaded. So thought why not try. It was not as good, so switched back to MT, emptied my FXO & Meta folders, and retried MT, Results were better, as I expected, so I then tried reducing the rendered area in QVFR, from 35, to 25% using the Quad views companion tool. I also turned Turbo on in that tool. In Open XR toolkit, when you switch on the "Advanced" FPS counter, it displays 3 frame time outputs , app CPU, Rdr CPU & app GPU. Now, these stay under 1 all the time, top 2 fluctuate around 0.5 - 0.7, app GPU pretty much stays at zero. My frames in instant action are staying at 72 95% of the time, occasionally dropping to 36 ( I am running at 72Hz refresh) . Whenever I have turned on the advanced FPS counter in OXRTK previously those values were generally between 12ms and 25ms as I said. So I really dont understand how I get such a huge performance increase.....just from what I did. My settings are as follows: in Occulus desktop software, slider full right, it's x 1.3 I think. I am using DLSS in DCS and sharpening at 0.65 on the slider. Nothing in OTT or ODT. ( Although I previously (Pre 2.9) was playing with the tangent FoV settings and locking frames at 36 and forcing ASW on, now I use nothing) I have default settings in OXRTK, except for the FPS counter. I just use the QVFR companion, and those settings are as shown: Of Course, I am very happy ! But I dont really understand how I could get such a difference in performance from previously? Any thoughts appreciated! Is there a log file I can generate and attach ? How is this done?
  6. OK< that was the F16 throttle which was not what I was talking about, but thanks. In the meantime, I got a Photoshop wizard buddy of mine to make the enclosed, so feel free to use :
  7. So are you using any anti aliasing at all then? Or just QVFR/
  8. On the plus side, the new pilot body is great, very impressed and using in VR, with necksafer, it is not an impediment to the view when looking back over your shoulder............
  9. Thanks, I have downloaded some skinpacks, would someone kindly tell me the file structure required to install please? There are no instructions in any of the packs I chose......
  10. THis!!! I would also really like it if it was possible to stop the pilots head moving through the canopy or seat somehow......which is a real immersion killer
  11. Got any links for those buddy?
  12. Hi, does anyone have a decent picture / graphic of this that I can annotate for switch bindings? Cant find anything decent online...... Thanks
  13. Excuse me, great shot, which skin is that? And same, lovely shot. Which skin?
  14. With the radio preset thing - in my pre made mission, despite setting channel 1 to 251 in the ME, when you crew in to the jet, it is set at 127.50. Not sure how the supplied instant action mission for refueling is set up, ( IE do you need to input the tankers freq manually or not) but its the same in that one as well. In both missions, you can't hear the tanker responses and you can't connect to the basket. Probe goes right through. If you manually change the preset, you can raise the tanker, but not here it. You get the "call ready pre contact" text up and can respond when in position, and the drougue comes out. But you can't connect. So not sure if this is tied to the radios .....or not. Item 2 does seem to be working though, perhaps the animation or lighting is different, anyway, if you look right over the top of the 2 buttons and swap between them you can see them move and change colour. It is not very apparent from the normal pilots position though.
  15. In case no one else has noticed and reported, also the right hand mirror now has a stuck image. It used to be the left, this is fixed now but now we have the RH side broken. Also, small point, but the resolution of the mirror images is not as crisp as say the mirrors in the F14......can this be easily improved? Thanks!
  16. Have you tried using with a different title such as MSFS etc? At least that would give you an indication where the issue maybe. I will repeat my advice to persevere, as once you find the issue ( and you will) the headset is awesome. I was lucky enough to have Lukas Wolta help me troubleshoot my issues, maybe reach out to him? what were you using before? Maybe some residual conflict?
  17. Thanks, of course I can use VR zoom, it’s just not very practical due to lack of spare hotas buttons and difficulty reaching for keyboard in VR…….the Tomcat suffers from a similar issue and there are some great VR friendly mods for that. Was hoping for similar. I can post my settings, but following 2.9 update, my DCS is the clearest and best it has ever looked. Other modules are super crisp, the issue here is not that the cockpit is badly textured or my settings are wrong etc, it’s that many switches are very small, with tiny labelling and often very little contrast between them and surroundings. It may well be 100% accurate, but still makes it tricky in VR in this module……….
  18. Surely someone must have some input on this?
  19. I am struggling with many of these in VR, not as my headset or resolution is bad, but that the text is so small......Is there any mods with more legible fonts or labels? I did google but could only find teh white mods, and 4K mods which dont do this.... Thanks
  20. Hi, are these easily accessible and modified? I wanted to maker an english version of the annunciations currently in French
  21. I have a super widescreen monitor (5120 x 1440) for my desktop and have the resolution set at 2160 x 1440. I ususally run VR but notice my screenshots are not great quality, certainly not as great as what I see in VR and also distorted. What can I set to get better quality, undistorted screenshots and does the resolution of my desktop monitor effect the performance of my VR headset? I always assumed it must do , which is why I set it lower......
  22. If its any consolation, I had all sorts of cable issues when I first got my questpro.... Ended up using a charging cable, this one, which works perfectly https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BDKJ8DSF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also had some issues a few weeks back when suddenly, my PC was not seeing the headset. I had changed nothing and did have the linked cable above connected to a 5 port USB 3 card I had installed into my PC. I chnaged this to connect to one of teh USB outlets on top of my PC and its all working fine again. So I think that there is definitely issues with USB . But, you should persevere, as once it is working, its simply awesome. My DCS never looked so good, the headset is super comfortable and best of all, it runs great on my 3090 which I was thinking would need upgrading to run the quest properly, but apparently not....
  23. Hi, I am not sure if these are user procedure problems of bugs / problems, but have 3 small issues: I have made a re fuel practice mission for all my modules, including the F1 and it works fine with other jets, so I know the issues are F1 related. 1) I cant hear the tanker radio responses ( I know everything set correctly, as I hear my voice and I get the text and the tanker performs as it should and I can get fuel) What would stop me hearing the tanker responses in the jet? 2) U+V button. Previously when pushed, this would animate down and light up green. Now it does not seem to animate or light up? I have tried with the mouse and my bound sim pit controls. Is this a new bug? It does not seem to stop it working though, see above, but as it does not move or light up, its difficult to know if it is correctly set. 3) I have set the default channel for both radios at 251 ( Tanker frequency) in the mission editor, for the jet ( as its a real pain to do this using the thumbwheels) . However in joining the mission, despite pre set 1 showing in the windows, the dials say 127.55 ( I think...anyway, not 251.00 as they should) Why is this? I cant find any guide on YouTube that deals with the switchology procedure for refueling, does anyone have a link to this? Nothing in the manual specifically either. I am fairly sure I have it right ( as it works, see point 1 above) but wanted to check. Thanks Trying things in 2D and able to zoom in nicely, I can see that the U+V know DOES animate, but its very small movement....( which I could not see in VR...) hoever, it does not light up like it did before....
  24. OK, using quet pro so no wmr for me
  25. Hi can someone clarify if the "force enable VR force enable open XR" short cut addition is still needed with 2.9 MT? Its how I run DCS MT, but I saw reading in the guide for the new version of QVFR that you DONT need this for Steam VR start. I am not using steam VR, but wanted to make sure that this did not now also aopply to without steam VR. Thanks
