Hi, I wondered if there was a way to prevent, ( usually when in BFM and looking around frantically!!) or to avoid your virtual head going through the canopy or seat? I realise I can of course buy some straps for my seat and that would do it!! -
Thanks, I was getting confused. In my case, the folder was already there and contained a file which was a .txt document. So I did not need to create it as in your instrcutions, which made me think maybe I was in the wrong place or doing something wrong, hence the query......When I copied the file to make the .cfg file, it displayed as a .log file. I got there in the end. I have bumped up the sampling from 1.1 to 1.3 in the foveated area, which gives a nice clarity uplift and seems to be manageable performance wise. Have not changed anything else. Thank you!

Can you recommend the Crystal to a happy Quest Pro owner?

Not got the crystal, but do have the Pro ( upgraded like you from a G2) and am extremely happy with it. Clarity is amazing, performance excellent and the winning factor for me is the comfort...so great not having a mask clamped to your face.........I would advise keep it. Its a lot of headset for the money ....... -
Hi Obious, can I query your use of the render scaling in OTT? First, I stopped using that as I thought the general conecnsus was use ODT, rather than OTT? ....secondly, I also thought that better to only make supersampling tweaks etc in ONE place.....and as the QVFR is now controlling what you see, do it there via the config file. So I have simply set my main render upscaling on the slider in Occulus software, then tweak the value in the QVFR config for the main FOV. Is what i am doing correct all? Finally, regarding the .cfg settings file......in the advanced instrcution Mbucchia linked, he says the .cfg file is in "localappdata" ( which is found in my "users" folder. There is a file there, which i have enclosed, is this the one I edit? I ask as its a .log file, not a ,cfg file...... Is this right ? Should I keep the original and rename it? Quad-Views-Foveated.log

OK (and sorry to labour the point on this...) so, two things - 1) Is the FFR via QVFR better than using the FFR via the toolkit ? And 2) if I want to try the FFR via QVFR, I should follow the wipe all previous settings from the toolkit procedure, turn it all off in toolkit and it will be automatically enabled with QVFR ? Thank you!

And sorry, another question....I have a separate sim rig for Helos, running off my hand down kit after upgrades, currently a 2080ti and a G2 headset. Am I correct in thinking from reading the instrcutions, that I simply use the fixed foveated rendering via the performance tools in this case? And that this software only works with eyetracking headsets? Or is there a mode within this software that I need to set to use which is better than the original option in the performance toolkit? Pretty sure its the former, but wanted to double check....

Quick question....I am NOT using it alongside the toolkit, purely standalone.........Pretty sure I did not do the return to default step as shown in the latest instrcutions....its all working fine, can I assume that I am good and that I should only worry about wiping previous toolkit settings if I want to start running the toolkit with the DFR? Thanks!

Hi Barthek, I have noticed that when the mod ( vivid syria) is applied, around the areas where the polytunnel greenhouses are, there is an area of bad texture, with the camo pattern and "missing texture" text showing...... Did you know and can it be fixed? many thanks! -

yeah, once you have sorted the initial fuckery, it should not do it again.......this is something that really irritates, it must be so simple to remove it.....and no idea why its there as its not as though it ever binds anything correctly.........one of my DCS pet peeves..... -
Hi, I am thinking of upgrading from or replacing my jet seat with some bass shakers. Been recommended the BST2, but on searching found quite a choice of varying sized, rated shaker pucks. Hi mate, maybe a stupid question, but have you correctly selected the grip from the dropdown in the profile manager in CLS2? I am having touble with mine now, after updating the software and firmware..... I wish I had left well alone.....basically, : I tried this morning ( no idea why when everything was working fine after I rolled back) with a fresh installation, as I noticed new firmware version was out.... I had no issues with the Vjoy installation, although it it shows as installed version number 2.1.9.1 I did not run the installer in the folder. I tried fiirst with version 5.5.2 of the software, but had no FFB effects, which is what happened yesterday, so I rolled back to CLS2 5.4.7 and it worked again. So I thought, no problem, I will just roll back to 5.4.7 ........So currently I am running version 5.4.7 of CLS2 & firmware 664.....but have no FFB effects I now have 2 issues: Firstly, all my old profiles no longer show up in the profile manager, ( I backed them up and copied them back in after the updates) Secondly, I have zero FFB effects in DCS, even though its connected and communicating, I have X & Y axis bound within DCS to both the Vjoy column and the CLSE joystick column in DCS controls options. Can anyone help? Thank you. It does not help that the Brunner forums are next to useless, responses take days if at all and very few solutions arise from any posts for help...........considering the huge cost of the hardware, its pretty poor support, but I guess in the hierarchy of importance, us simmers are simply not as important as their commercial clients..... -

Hey Mike, glad to see you are liking the QP, I love mine, even though I have had a torrid time getting it set up and troubleshooting a cable issue.....DCS never looked so good and I have even basically swapped to using VR all the time now.....previously, I was using a mix of 2D and VR, but its so great usingthe Pro, I use it all the time now! I also really like the way its not clamped on your face and just hangs in front of your eyes, letting you peek around if needed...... -

OK, found the issue....had to change binding. I have noticed, lots of stuff that never used to get changed seems to change randomly in DCS now....keybinds dissappear of change, special settings revert to default etc.....othe rpeople who I fly with also have this issue.... -

The other way you could play and again, I appreciate its limited, and affects everything everywhere, is to adjust the colour settings withing Nvidia control panel. I did this as I now cant use openXR perf tools as I am using the DFR mod and it actually seems to work OK.... So what do all the other settings in the lua files do and why dont they have an effect? -

Hi, I have noticed that in some of my missions, when I press for the comms menu, it does not appear? Its not a binding problem, have checked and it works fine in an instant actuion mission....... What settings somewhere might cause this? I dont recall changing anything and it always used to work OK in the mission I am having issues with (Posted below in case that helps) Thanks F-16, F-14, Harrier Refueling Practice Mission.miz

Recently did a re install, and re downlaoded S&A. It shows in my campaigns but the lettering is not fully white and while I can highlight it, nothing happens if I press restart and no information about mission status etc is displayed. Any tips to sort the issue? How do I uninstall and re install?

I use this map a lot and its great, it's been out a long time, but I am not aware of ANY mods for terrain / textures.....wondered why this is? It would be really great if there was some available such as Barthek or TAZ have done for others.......
