Ice basicly I look to case from broad vision. There is a mission, right? You'll take off, fly, arrive to enemy zone, make intercept and kill bandits. Than return your airbase one piece.
If you get killed during mission or made friendly fire, that's your fault however if you ejected after get shot it means you survived some how.
The reason why, we built our stats project on that platform. Actually coolt tries to explain "the same thing" however he can't discover kill ratio increase when you kill a bandit then return your home safety :)
We didn't create a basic and usual kill ratio stats system, there is hard work and connected many algoriythms. Those algoriythms create different situations, because it's the most appropiate to ferret out the truth of game basics logic over there.
Beside the point we count also "people daily flight time" / "daily kill-death" to expose their RATIO at our system. That means also you race with time actually. :) The reason we why know that who entered the server just having fun with Su-27 and making airshow on airbase to other people "or" just to kick bandit's ass.
I believe that it's %100 appropriate way to mark the best pilots. Check our server rules for detailed information.
