  1. This really does have the potential to be the MOD of MODS. A great community project like this will help build immersion to a very high level in DCS. Would it be possible in the ME when you place an aircraft with a specific country, to attach a voice pack (that the community member(s)with that country’s accent has provided) to that aircraft? And to also add in extra terminologies/ phrases that real work service people would use on these and other forums. I’m sure there will be current/ex service men AND women for each profession available that could give advice. The list will be long but distinguished. Lol maybe that last bit should be in one of the F-14 threads!!
  2. For the upcoming F-14 Tomcat- RIO Rader Intercepting Officer - the back seater in the Tomcat. The way to communicate will be through a menu rose - but with Vaicom we'll be able to use voice recognition instead
  3. Thing is with the amount of time, money and effort gone into this module (not to be repeated either - I'm sure Cobra said that), it'd be silly not to take advantage - or make a limited supply run of a thousand or something. Yeah, I'd be up for it.
  4. Can you enlighten me please exactly where to put the Sound folder in Saved Games. It looks fantastic, but it's doing my head in as I get no sound from the LSO. Thanks Edit, it’s ok, I’m just a crap pilot lol. Wasn’t hitting the triggers
  5. Hope HB are going to be working with Hollywood for Vaicom 2.5 function. As good as the Jester AI interface looks, I'd prefer just to use Vaicom
  6. Other than the rear facing rear cockpit view, I hope we'll get an in-cockpit pilot and RIO at release too - for VR it's invaluable for me. I also didn't see any shots of the rio cockpit either. Can't wait for the all the new videos to come. Going to be awesome.

  8. The sun also has some odd effects such as showing through the spitfire tents and weird reflections on the props.
  9. Have you used it before and it’s worked? Do you have the most up to date version of Vaicom? Are you leaving the button pressed long enough? Are there any messages that look to be of concern? Do you have a copy of your log you could post? You may be best to message Hollywood direct

  11. Yeah, I couldn’t get it to work with the hack this time either. I just deleted the export file, it it ran as normal after rebooting

  15. Hey all, I’ve been flying the spit for a good while, I’m using the Warthog grip on a Virpil T-50 base. Without any alteration to the curves, is it likely that the spot handles as twitchy as it does in DCS? If so I’ll deal with it like that but if not, can anyone recommend some more realistic curves? Thanks

  17. SUCCESS!!!!!! No idea what I had done!! I should probably leave computers well alone from now on. Cheers chums I owe you one @Petsild - it’s entirely possible that last night I just had a massive brain fart with the amount of files and folders open. Although why I couldn’t get it to work when I first tried today as anyone’s guess seen as I tried exactly the same thing again and it worked! Anyhow, it works and I’m happy and appreciate all the help. Cheers bud

  19. Cheers for the help mate but still no joy. I've done a direct replacement as you suggest with the original game zip folder in the DCS folder but no joy. I also tried replacing your mod through my mods folder in Saved Games but no joy there either. The gun reticle works mind you so thats good. I also tried another similar mod by Toby with the same results. Just so I'm not going insane, can you clarify that the attached pic is that of the original glass please.
  20. Still can't get it to work. My entire cockpit textures have gone, even when I replace with the back ups they still don't come back. It's weird. I can get the gunsight working again but the glass is just a no-no at the moment. This is the third time I've had to do a repair to get the cockpit textures back. Do you think you may find a way to redo them without this workaround? Thanks for the help guys
  21. Cheers, no luck though. It's a very consistent 4 or 5 seconds when nothing is pressed - for instance (on all modules I have) straight and level, autopilot on and hands (and feet) off everything. The Menu just keeps popping up. Annoyingly enough that I keep looking up and right when I see the flash of it!!
  22. Hi, I've started to get the radio menu popping up all the time!! Literally every few seconds. DCS is up to date so is my Vaicom and VA, easy comms is off. Disable Menus are off also Any ideas? Thanks
  23. I can't get this to work anymore I'm afraid. Using your workaround gives me no cockpit textures. I must be doing something wrong and I think it's to do with your last line -Create a new zip with this extracted textures with the name Cockpit_Spitfire_LFMkIX_Textures.zip that will replace the original. There is already a zip file of that name that contains all the cockpit and pilot textures so I can't rename it with the same folder name. Any suggestions? Cheers
  24. Ah, didn't see that!!! Cheers Ok, after the new download I don't get the error message but dcs just hangs on the loading page and the menu doesn't load up. Again, works no problem without it. EDIT Just thinking, it'll prob take 10 mins to recompile everything won't it? I''l wait and try again
  25. Ok, I just updated and I'm getting the following error on start up. It seems related to this mod. If I disable it in ovgme the sim loads as normal. Any ideas? Thanks
