  1. Thanks Bignewy. I will try to get a track on the repair problem. It's happened to me on several occasions now on different servers. It shouldn't be a problem to recreate.
  2. I did a search but couldn't find an answer to this general question. These files allow you to set up preset channels for the A-10C in a mission file. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1581339/ Do these presets work for other high fidelity cockpits for the Gazelle, Mi-8, UH-1H and so on or is this for A-10C only?
  3. I didn't understand that so that's very likely what the problem is. We were testing it with Teamspeak still running. So what you're saying is that we can essentially just turn Teamspeak off and use SR on it's own. We'll give it another try this evening. Thanks!
  4. Thanks for your response Ciribob. I tried with and without the scripts so I wasn't absolutely sure if that was causing the problem. I'll delete the scripts. I was running the server executable from the desktop. Is there a correct place to put that file? We are hearing everything and not hearing the radio sounds even though we enabled it on the individual clients. We tried switching channels but still heard everything like we were just using normal Teamspeak. I can see the clients connected to the server. With UniversRadio we have to turn off anti-flood. Are there similar problems regarding Teamspeak with SimpleRadio?
  5. Hi Ciribob, We're having trouble getting the server to work. I followed your instructions and as far as I know it should be working. I've placed the two files, DCS-SRSGameGUI.lua and the DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.lua in the users scripts folder and when I run the server it shows the clients connected to the server. We're running the server on the same network as our squad server. It's on a home network through a router but the correct ports are open. We tried entering the F-15C but when we get in the pit we hear everything just like Teamspeak is normally. I've tried several different things to fix it but nothing is working. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? I have the server log file I can post if needed. Thanks in advance.
  6. Another suggestion would be the Mi-8 campaign. It's mostly just a bunch of ferrying stuff around so it's not very hard. I've only done a half dozen missions so I'm not sure if it gets much harder but the beginning is very easy. It's good because you spend a lot of time just learning to fly the chopper.
  7. Not sure if these need to be posted as separate issues. I can post them separately if needed and edit this post. We're running the stable release on our server and we've run into some issues. We don't run any mods except for LOTATC. 1. Players can connect to the server initially but if they quit or lose connection, they can't rejoin the server. They get a time out or can't click on or enter a slot. 2. Sometimes they can't see the server at all. I've run into this problem myself even though the server is in my office in the other room. 3. Multiplayer repair is still broken. When I came back to repair and reload the ground crew says "copy" but nothing happens. Happens with all modules and not just a specific one. I've noticed this problem exists on other servers as well like the Buddyspike Blue Flag server so this appears to be a common problem. 4. Not sure if this is a 1.5 bug, but airborne JTAC doesn't respond at all. Ground based JTAC works fine. We also had a problem where ground JTAC stopped responding and then when one vehicle in a group was finally destroyed, all of the sudden we got a flood of past JTAC responses. I've posted the log file so hopefully there's something helpful in there.

  10. Doesn't hurt to ask though. A lot of people start out without really knowing what peaks their interest and then kind of settle on something specific. That's the only reason I was asking.

  12. Agree 100% with this. Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy, just like that, Uh um, other sims map. I like being able to fly across the Adriatic to engage targets and back to Italy!

  14. I think it depends on the coalition country picked in the mission builder but I'm not 100% sure. I've run into this same problem before too. I'll sometimes get English ATC and sometimes Russian. I'll do a test later on this morning and let you know. I know for certain that it doesn't have anything to do with the GUI avionics setting.
  15. Buddyspike is actually doing a dynamic campaign for DCSW now. They do it all with special LUA code but I would say it's very close to the same concept. If ED decides to add a Viper......well there you go.
  16. This may work for you as a simple solution for now until you figure out the track problem. Go into the snap views with right control and numpad insert or 0 key and then 8 for the HUD. You'll get a full HUD view and should be able to see the pipper. After you do your dive hit control + insert again. You could even set up a hot key to toggle back and forth. Don't know if this will help you but it may be worth a try at least.
  17. OK, it's part of the advanced waypoint options for aircraft but not for ground units. I understand that it can be done with MIST but this should be and option in the builder. If it can be in there for aircraft there's really no reason for it to not be available for ground units.
  18. OK, I tried it and that option is not available. I placed a ground vehicle and 4 waypoints and went into advanced waypoint options for the last waypoint. There's nothing in the perform command for switch waypoint. Can you explain what step I might be missing?
  19. I checked all the forums and I didn't see this mentioned before, at least not for DCS 1.5. I would like to see a simple "repeat path" option in the mission builder for ground units. Arma has it so when you're creating waypoints for units and they reach an end point or actually any point you can just have them repeat the same path from it's origin. I've seen DCS missions where there are just massive numbers of path loops to simulate or to kind of do this behavior. I think that having all of those waypoints adds a lot of unnecessary code. A simple repeat path option would clean up a lot of missions and make the job of mission editors a lot easier.

  23. In 1.5.3 you could still open a track file get into the plane and then hit escape and there was an option to "Take Control". So you could fly the original mission and do everything yourself again but it looks like they removed that option in 1.5.4. Must be a reason for them removing it. That's how they did the training scenarios. Hopefully they'll put it back. I run the track files and use Shadowplay to record movie clips. Works great. But now my old track files from 1.5.3 and prior won't work any more in 1.5.4.
  24. The Ka-50 and Ka-52 are two completely different helicopters. The only thing they share are the fact that they come from the same company and the bodies are somewhat similar. Other than that, they have nothing in common. The Ka-50 is an end of the cold war machine with basic avionics and laser targeting and the Ka-52 is a modern all glass side by side 3rd generation type of aircraft. It has an all glass pit and sophisticated avionics and weapon systems with full night time flying and thermal systems for weapon employment and modern jamming and countermeasure systems and can carry heat seeking air to air missiles as well. It's more on the same level as the AH-64D than the Ka-50. I can almost guarantee that every system is still highly classified by the Russian government and there's probably no way that you will ever see this as a DCS World module.   25. I said I understood now. ED just added the multiple clients allowed in the same group in 1.5. Before you had to create separate flights for clients with copied waypoints but the group/flight numbers were reversed.
