  1. I checked in the mission builder. These guys are set normal, not indestructible or immortal or have any other properties that could explain this. He took a sharp right turn to go to the taxiway and ran over one of them and this is the result. Landing gear ripped off and teetering on top of the guy like a 12" iron bridge pile-on. You used to be able to bump into them and they would just move out of the way.
  2. We've tried a bunch of different times to get these to work with no effect. Pitch black night, clear visibility. Tried on different servers, in single player in multi-player and nothing. Rear switch set to the correct position, nose up 20-30 degrees fire off a pair and wait about 15 seconds and nothing. So I would like to know what's going on. Are we missing something in the settings? Why are target illumination rockets modeled for the Ka-50 but not functional?
  3. I can confirm it's happening. We had the same problem on a MP mission the other night.
  4. This is a huge bug that needs to be looked into. This has happened several times to me recently so it should be fairly easy to reproduce on ED's end. There's no way to create a track file because I'm working with different computers and the file is transferred to the squad server and run on that. 1. I created the mission that we ran on our server last night. In the mission options I leave all of the cheats unchecked which included "invulnerability" and "unlimited ammo". The options for my simulation settings are matching at this point. 2. I transfer the mission to the server and test it by running the mission on the squad server and then connecting to it using my sim computer. the mission runs fine and I can be damaged and run out of ammo. 3. I make some more changes to the mission on my sim system and then switched to an air to air role to test the triggers of the enemy aircraft launching. To do this while flying through SAM territory I set my sim system options only (not in the mission editor) to invulnerable and unlimited ammo. I run the mission on the squad server and again I'm connected remotely and fly the mission. I'm invulnerable and have unlimited ammo. Keep in mind that the squad server is still set with the options of invulnerable and unlimited ammo unchecked and the mission options are still set the same. It's only my local sim system that I changed those options in the DCS World GUI. 4. I back out of the mission and make a few changes to it and save it. I did not turn off those two options in my GUI yet because I'm still testing. So I make the changes to the mission and double check the mission options and they are still both unchecked. I transfer the mission back to the server and run it and connect remotely. I'm still invulnerable and unlimited ammo on my GUI at this point but the squad server and both the mission are set contrary. I back out of the mission after testing thinking everything is OK and then turn off those options on my sim system GUI. 5. We run the mission for the evening thinking everything is OK but find out after 30 minutes into it that everyone is invulnerable and has unlimited ammo. So I open up the mission on the squad server in the editor and sure enough, the options are unchecked. So something in the coding is messed up badly and it's transferring those option into the mission without reflecting those changes in the editor. The only way I've found to fix this is to open DCS World back up on my sim system, go into the GUI, uncheck those two options, reopen the mission in my editor and double check that they're not checked. Re-save the mission and then re-transfer it back onto the server and test it again. Could you guys please look into fixing this problem? Edit: I wanted to add that I am clicking on the "fly" or whatever that button is called in the editor to test the missions. So the editor must be transferring the GUI settings into the mission without reflecting it in the mission options for some reason.
  5. Latest SRS. I'll ask him for the log.
  6. It's not fixed unfortunately. We have another member that's experiencing the exact same problem. He tries to connect to the server and the client closes.
  7. Hi Ciribob, You've helped one of our guys with this problem but I can't find the answer on how to fix it. The client would close out as soon as he clicks on connect. You told him to turn off or deselect the "re-sampler" option. He says it's on the settings page but I don't see anything on the settings page that refers to that. Can you help me out here?
  8. It's not necessary to set the fuel at zero. If you set them to uncontrolled, the aircraft are waiting for the pilots to enter them by the triggering system. They're not static objects so they'll be parked in the correct slots just like client aircraft. You can also make them late activated if you want to.
  9. Yeah, it's very frustrating for me too. I have missions that worked prior to the last patch and the hotfix and now they won't work. So stuff gets broken then fixed then broken then fixed again. I hope that they're working to resolve a lot of the broken scripting and triggering issues.
  10. Well, another idea that I had back awhile ago is that they should at least have the option of setting time values using "hours, minutes, seconds" in my opinion. Having to set 3600 seconds for an hour is inconvenient.
  11. I wanted to add something. I don't use the Targeting Cue for the most part. I rely pretty much on the TGP because it can do everything you need and it's all self contained. I look at the TC as mostly a redundant system or fallback in case the TGP is damaged. I'm sure that other people use it so don't take that to the bank. Just in my case I don't. I'm in US mountain time.
  12. Mark points don't move after they're created. I think you're referring to the targeting cue on the HUD. The targeting cue is square and the TGP indicator on the HUD is a diamond. You can use the targeting cue to make mark points but it isn't really all that useful in my opinion because it's not accurate. The better way to use it is to slave your targeting pod and the mavericks to that cue so you can use better sensors to refine your search. When your HUD is SOI, use the TMS up long and China Hat forward long. This will slave the TGP and other sensors to the cue. As you're flying towards the target area, move the cue around and you'll see that the TGP will move with it. Then make the TGP SOI after you've found the general area of the targets. If you need to create a mark point with the TGP, use TMS right short. This way, if you have to exit the battle area you'll have a reference to where they're located. You can slave all your sensors to a mark point but you'll find that you'll still have to refine the TGP sensor. Once you create a mark point, select MRK on the steerpoint selector and make the TAD SOI, then you can put the cursor over it and then do the TMS up long China Hat forward long while that mark point is active and slave your sensors to that point again. Mark points are stored in the CDU just like waypoints. If you create a bunch of mark points you can cycle through them using the UFC steerpoint rocker and make them active just like waypoints.
  13. You're not alone dude, some of us need intervention!
  14. I posted this in another thread but it was with other bugs so I think it hasn't been verified yet and we didn't have a track file available at the time. This is a simple mission we put together for training and both A-10C's are in the same group. We've run into this problem in other missions where our flight members are all in the same group. JTAC will respond to the lead pilot of the group but will not respond to any of the wingmen. We did set this up with the flights in separate groups but JTAC gets buggy when working with multiple groups from our experience. Track file attached.
  15. Another use is if you take some battle damage, land and need repair. I use it on the A-10C and the Ka-50 all the time. You can shut down the engines and request repair without having to restart all the systems and go through alignment again. I know that this is in the L-39 section but I'm guessing that the same situation would apply.
  16. I found out why. I had to do some digging but I came up with the main reason. In Germany, video games are classified as "toys". Toys are not covered under the regulation § 86a StGB (3) Subsection (1). So it's a huge loophole that has allowed the German government to prosecute producers of video games and ban their products. So instead of them being classified as "entertainment" or "educational" like they are in just about every democratic country on the planet, Germany is a special case. It's remarkable that the video game industry hasn't been able to get them reclassified considering it's 5% of the global video game market. There are some exceptions so it's kind of a gray area. In order to get them through you have to go through the Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdende Medien or Federal Review Board for Media. It's a difficult and tedious process so I'm sure that most producers just say forget it.
  17. OK, did you read the entire text? This is from 1979 and it's another case that's similar in nature but this time regarding a model maker. And if you read the very last sentence the conviction was overturned. Also, if it were to be precedence then it would have been quoted in following cases which it obviously wasn't. Here's the final decision: The judgment of the District Court is after all so far wrong in law, as it denies the applicability of § 86 a StGB in the specified scope. This lead to the repeal of the conviction, since it concerns a single act together with the object of the pending by the foregoing part of the prosecution.
  18. I took that right from your original post: I'll take a look at this one too.
  19. Just so you know this statement is very subjective. Also, I read the entire text of the case you referenced after I did a complete translation to English. The company that had its property seized and charged filed an appeal. The text from the court transcripts is the the result of the appeal and the accused won the case and the decision was reversed. The court stated that the interpretation of the law by the circuit court was too broad for the exact same reasons that I had stated in my earlier post. It is not illegal to produce entertainment products that have the symbol in Germany. It is considered Taboo but there is a huge gulf between Taboo and illegal. Here is the first part of the text from the actual case file. 1. On appeal of the accused, the judgment of the Landgericht Stuttgart is repealed on 29 September, 2006. The accused is acquitted. 2. The costs of the proceedings and the necessary expenses of the accused fall the Exchequer burden. 3. The decision on the obligation to compensate for prosecutions Stuttgart District Court has jurisdiction. As of right. reasons The district court has sentenced the accused for utilizing of symbols of unconstitutional organizations fined. This operates under the name "N." a company that sells the product for Punkerszene as CDs, clothes, stickers u. Ä. Via a retail store and a mail order business. In its assortment numerous articles with illustrations were during a search on 23 August 2005 included, in which Nazi symbols, particularly the swastika in partially modified but still recognizable form were displayed, which by the way of representing the opposition to National Socialism should be expressed. The seized items were in the warehouse and in the store of the company held in stock and also sometimes delivered. The entire range of products was also in catalogs and in the context of a so-called. "Online Store" on a website cost. The district court had considered when deciding on the commencement of the trial, the product marketed by the defendants article fell for the most part not the elements of § 86 a StGB because the Nazi flag had been so far used in clearly distancing manner; only in three of them the opposition is not clearly identified in a sufficient manner. On that point, the main proceedings before the district court - criminal judge - Waiblingen opened. On appeal the prosecutor's office, the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court has ordered that commencement of the trial before the District Court in nearly full of accusation, because a clearly distancing use of such characteristics of the criminal provision of § 86 a StGB under trap, with the incriminated symbols regardless of the intention of the user should be taboo. The District Court has now, in its judgment - visible on the basis of the decision BGHSt 25, 30 - of the opinion "in any case use herein of the indicator on a larger scale is independent of a criminal offense, whether an inner distancing from National Socialist ideas there and also independently whether and how such a distancing by the very nature of representation as such sufficiently well observed "outwardly. The defendant lodged an appeal against his conviction revision. He has the Sachrüge success. I. Contrary to the opinion of the District Court satisfied the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations in representations in which is clear from their content in manifest and unambiguous manner, that they are needed in a strongly negative meaning, regardless of size not the offense of § 86 Criminal Code. 1. The protective purpose of the offense is the defense of a revival of the banned organization or it pursues anti-constitutional activities, the indicator indicating symbolically. The provision is also of preserving political peace in that any appearance of such a revival and the impression from foreign and domestic observers of political events in the Federal Republic of Germany is to be avoided, in her there is a fairly anti-state internal political development, characterized is that anti-constitutional activities of the indicator displayed by the direction would be tolerated. Even such an impression and to Socialize ends because reactions can interfere with the political peace sensitive. § 86a Penal Code also intends to prevent the use of symbols of banned unconstitutional organizations - regardless of the associated intentions - again such naturalized that the aim in principle to ban such indicator from the image of political life in the Federal Republic, not reached is, with the result that they eventually can again be safely used by the advocates of the policy objectives for which the indicator is (BGHSt 25, 30, 33 et seq .; 25, 128, 130 f.).
  20. I wanted to add something here for clarification. It may be that these symbols are banned outright in some countries. I just don't know and don't have the time to look it up. The discussion we've been having is specifically related to Germany and the German High Court statute § 86 StGB. It's easy to look up the law and read it for yourself. I've been doing some searching and I can't find any cases related to entertainment products being banned in Germany specifically. All I've found is that it's illegal for specific political groups to use the symbols for obvious reasons. I'm still searching but it looks like it is an area that is avoided due to cultural sensitivity and not for legal reasons.
  21. I believe that the case you are referencing is that it was a hate group that was claiming that it was OK for them to use the Swastika on their propaganda or equipment and that they were trying to make the case that it was OK because the symbol was being used on either a toy or a plastic model of an aircraft. I can't read German and used Google translate but that's what it translates to. The judge ruled that the evidence was "inadmissible". Maybe someone that speaks and reads German can clarify that. I still go back to the text of the law that states that entertainment products are exempt from this law. Now the other item that you stated as not including any Nazi symbols within the country of Germany, I can not verify what you are saying because I don't live in Germany. But I believe that it's a national sensitivity issue more than a legal one. I only know for a fact that these symbols have been and are still being used by the entertainment and gaming industry and I have not heard of any cases restricting or banning their use. I do agree 100% with ED removing it from the model in the sim though because I don't think it's necessary to have it in there and it's not helpful in any historical context. I will however say that the reason that we as a society allow symbols and historical items to be reproduced is so that we don't forget the horrendous things that have been done throughout history in the name of hate. And the Nuremberg laws are indicative of that philosophy.
  22. Understood Racoon. In the interest of the community it's probably better off to not have it in there. My point was simply that it's not illegal if it's an entertainment product.
  23. LOL, man that's one high altitude duck!
  24. I challenge you to provide one piece of legal ruling from the German High Court that can back up your position. It's not a question of assessment on my end. I think that the law is extremely clear if you read the text carefully. It does not apply to education, entertainment, reporting or civil enlightenment. If this applied to entertainment products, you couldn't make movies like "Valkerie", "Where Eagles Dare", "Guns of Navarone" or pretty much any WWII film which feature Nazi emblems in almost every scene or any period video games like "Wolfenstein" that feature Nazi emblems as well. There isn't any ambiguity on this in my opinion. If it were illegal we wouldn't have these products. I have no doubt that ED has already been advised on this subject by their legal team and knows it's OK.
  25. I think that the law only applies to propaganda used by hate groups. It doesn't affect being used in historical context such as movies or video games depicting historical content. Section 3 Subsection 1 states: shall not be applicable if the means of propaganda or the act serves to further civil enlightenment, to avert unconstitutional aims, to promote art or science, research or teaching, reporting about current historical events or similar purposes.
