  1. Hello, After 45 hours of work and probably opening DCS 200 times, we're still not done. The templates and UVs are clearly NOT made for user editing. When you need to bend a straight line in the template to make it look straight on the plane, it's simply impossible to make something clean. The 3D UVs are not relaxed enough, and as a result, if you use a red background, you'll get red around the entire shape because the texture bleed is insufficient. It seems that this model was textured in software like Substance Painter or similar, which makes it much easier to texture such a complex plane with proper software support. I’m not trying to be rude, but in 2025, when the "expectation" is for users to create skins, this situation is quite difficult to accept. Thank you for your understanding and your work.

  3. I understand your frustration, and I fully share it. However, given the current situation, I’d rather have a sample livery file to start working on rather than waiting and doing nothing. Let’s be honest, I don’t think a solution to all this will come anytime soon, and that’s quite sad.
  4. We understand the concerns regarding piracy and the need to implement necessary precautions. However, the current approach has left us with only a template, without any supporting elements,no arguments to work with, no file structure, and no clear direction. It feels like receiving a car without an engine. While i don’t mind launching the game repeatedly if needed, at this stage, we simply lack the essential tools to move forward. Would it be possible for you to provide a sample folder along with an argument list? This would enable us to create liveries content.

  7. Hey, First of all, thank you for releasing the template. However, in its current state, it’s extremely difficult to achieve proper results. I’d like to highlight a few key issues and suggest potential solutions: Lack of a Usable Model in ModelViewer: Not having an .edm file to open in ModelViewer significantly hampers the workflow. I understand that encryption is necessary to prevent unauthorized copying and reuse of the 3D model in older mod versions. However, would it be possible to provide an .edm file with a built-in visual watermark—such as a large 3D text overlay? This would prevent in-game use while still allowing us to accurately place details and align textures. Missing Examples for description.lua: We currently have no reference for enabling the correct antennas and country-specific details in the description.lua. Without access to existing liveries or clear documentation, it’s challenging to configure these elements correctly. Could you provide sample files or a more detailed guide to help us set this up properly? Pilot and Helmet Templates: As of now, we don’t have access to the pilot or helmet templates. I assume these are still in progress, but it would be helpful to get confirmation on their status and an estimated release timeframe. These elements are essential for completing a fully detailed and accurate livery. I appreciate the hard work you’re putting into this and hope these concerns can be addressed to improve the workflow for all creators. Looking forward to your feedback. Best regards, Tango

  11. Hello, we got the same issue, we tested 4 different mod all with SFM flight model. Plane remain in starting position, plane moving only for the player who control it. No sound. But if you fly through them, they explode.

Hey guys, got a question we are talking about critical bugs on the f-5, did one of you guys noticed that when you fly the plane with like RPM set to 90% and when the speed reach 450kts, the plane stay stuck for some second at this speed and accelerate by himself... Like none linear acceleration and it happen all the time it reach 450.... We do fly formation with the plane, we have to "dive in" over 450kts to keep my wingmans close to me and force the plane to fly over 450kts to be able to stay with them in formation... Is that a bug or related to the engine performences? Did one of you guys noticed this "speed lock" Take Care.
  14. Encrypting a DLL so that it cannot be used by a third party or for any purpose other than its main operation, I understand it. But encrypting functions knowing full well that it would kill a large part of the mods for the basic game, sorry but that's nonsense, piracy or not. As I said in my message, some of these mods fix core game problems that don't matter to the studio in terms of priority. So yes, it annoys me a little bit, because saying "the modders will have to adapt their mods" knowing full well that there will be no solution, I find this answer completely pre-made. So yes in my case it's been since 2016, that I asked one thing for a module we are in 2020, and still nothing and always the same answer, it's not the priority and this and that. I am sorry if I can be aggressive about what I say, but I think that the excuse of piracy is not justified and is simply your only argument because there are no others. Regards.
  15. Let me bounce back, I don't think the aerobatics community is the only one impacted by this change. Over the years mods have started to play a big role on the simulator, and today more than ever. Of course, there are mods that add content, modify content, but some of them fix problems temporarily, both in the open alpha and in the release. I/we are aware of your wish to protect your work against piracy, and that is quite understandable, but here we are talking about product modifications that are not used for malicious purposes. I really hope that we will come to an agreement as we did last time. Let's try to stay respectful and have a mature conversation that will lead to solutions and not let this topic get out of control.

  19. I spent more than a week at 8 hours a day to make the skin of the patrouille suisse, and errors are still visible because of some uv errors. So yeah, i get your frustration.

  21. Thank You! Hello, i've edited the "materials.lua" file located into "Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts" and changed the value of all the "MDG" lines to "{255, 255, 255, 255}". Hope it help! Tango

  24. Hello everybody, it is with all the sadness of the world that I must announce that "Kizir_77" left us earlier this year, he was 41 years old. "Kizir_77" has done a lot of work for DCS with a wide variety of skins. He had an incredible sense of detail and a immeasurable sense of sharing. He'll be missed. Tango
