Well, it's not something I want to do  , but I haven't flown the hog in a while because of my work schedule, and I could use the money elsewhere... Plus with the interest others have, I might as well let them benefit from it. We also didn't get the house we wanted because of lack of funds, so I won't have room for a pit for at least another couple years.

I'm thinking of selling my A-10 panels which I would rather sell to someone here in Europe to keep shipping costs down. I can post more pictures later. Please contact me if interested and we can discuss. They are the following: Still Available 60€ - Actual A-10 Oxygen Regulator 150€ - Simmeters Digital Altimeter

I've noticed lately that my Warthog no longer feels like a ball joint, and more like the axis in the cougar... very stiff on the X/Y, with hard motions. Also, when in the middle, it has a large center play before giving input like my cougar was. I haven't opened it up, but I have been cranking and banking in dogfights lately. Any idea?

Nice pit icemaker. What are you using for the gear handle?

Good enough for me! I'll be waiting.

Hey linden, if you plan on doing the CDU with all the buttons as option 1 (at that price) I may consider getting one. If not, any chance you can email me something of a design?

I need help! Busted my PC!
hog_driver111th replied to hog_driver111th's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks Peter! Btw, I've been staring at graphics cards online all day. I'd like to stick to ati, but I don't have much money to use. The ATI HD6970 and above is out of my reach (well, according to the Mrs.) The 6950 might be doable, but what if I dropped down a level to the 5770? I'm sure it would do better than the 4650 I have (had), and they go for pretty cheap... But I'm not sure. Stores are closed now, I have to get up at 3am for work, and I might be ble to stop in the pc store tomorrow to see what they have available. -

I did mention that I have no clue about these things, didn't I?:music_whistling: "I'm a pilot, not a mechanic Damnit!" hehe. I do wonder what could have happened to it. -

Well, my Bday is tomorrow and I had planned on getting a bunch of stuff for my cockpit instead, but I guess I'll have to get a new gpu. It might be something someone can fix (I have no skills in that department.) It's an ATI HD 4650 1Gb. I was thinking of getting either the HD 6950, or 6970, since they seem to be ok in price and will leave me a few bucks to get something else. Not trying to advertise (admins, don't hurt me!) but if I get a new Graphics card, I'll sell this one to someone here in Europe that might be able to fix it and use it. Could just be dust under one of the memory banks. -

I've checked everything. It's still doing it. EDIT: big update... Before, after rechecking the graphics card, it was still doing it. This time, before putting the graphics card back in, I decided to plug my monitor into the onboard VGA port, and it works... So somehow something happened to my graphics card... -
That's an Air National Guard squad learning the A-10.

Had I though of that before I would have left it on. not 100% that's the cause though. Should it screw things up even at initial startup? -

Well, I had planned on buying a new PSU which is why I opened the case in the first place. That's when I noticed the dust on the heatsink and thought to clean it. -

I didn't remove the actual processor. I had removed the fan tube and heatsink again and tried starting without those with the same effect -
Here's the situation: I decided yesterday to clean out some dust from the case. I wasn't concerned with making it look new, I just wanted to get the fans clean. So I removed the fan tube over my processor and the heatsink. After scrubbing off the dust from both parts and making sure the grease or whatever it is was still there, I replaced the heatsink and fan tube. Then I cleared a few other fans, wiped the bottom of the case , closed it up, replugged everything and turned it on. Here's where the problem showed. (see picture below). I reopened the case, checked all connections, pulled the graphics card out... Issue is still there. I have no idea what could cause this. Any of you have an idea? It also will not boot into windows. The last picture is the user select page. It looks like this for about 3 seconds, then reboots in an endless loop, always looking the same.

Get Helios and program the switches. Helios can read an off position and send the correct information to the sim (through programming).

Monitors on eBay for MFCDs
hog_driver111th replied to hog_driver111th's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I thought it was the other way around when it came to monitors... But I'm no expert either. -
Hey all, I found these monitors on eBay for fairly cheap. Does anyone know if they can be used for the MFCDs? I know they are 8.4", but I'm making full size MFD bezels instead of using the Thrustmaster ones I have, so 8.4" would fit perfect. There's no shipping costs, so these would literally be the cheapest 8.4" lcds I've seen. http://www.ebay.com/itm/8-4-inch-Car-Color-TFT-LCD-Screen-TV-Monitor-AV-Player-VGA-/160860286888?pt=US_Car_Monitors_w_o_Player&hash=item2574052fa8#ht_3683wt_727

Great find. I might get the VVI if it stays close to the current price.

Bought and paid for with Jimbo.

Just say its all top secret, and now you'll have to take them out with your GAU-8 (while dressed in full flight gear of course).
