:thumbup: The bezels are virtual only, as they are for 1€ each. I might order a set of bezels from Pitbldr (hint hint...you need to make them) or from viperpanels.org. I showed these to my wife, and even though she rolled her eyes at me, she said I could save up to get them for when my pit is ready. Looking at the software, it says only FC2 and BS 1or 2?

This one is sort of close for an altimeter, but without the kollsman window. It looks like a bunch of areas are empty. Hopefully they are smart enough to make A-10 gauges since they supposedly work with DCS.

My only issue with the hind is that we already have a Russian attack helo. After the next DCS: fighter, I would hope (of course if ED is going for real world contracts, we may see more US) that a US helo, or Russian attack/fighter would be next. Granted I'm going to only fly the Warthog or US fighters, but... So having the Apache for me would be better first.

That's what I was figuring. I was going to attach a couple pictures, but having issues from my iPad. If anyone buys one, definitely announce if it works, because I would buy whatever is good for the A-10, and maybe a few that would be close but change the facecard.

why. just why. There are already so many polls out there. Nobody has a clue what it is going to be and when. These polls are pointless. Plus, if you look at the ED roadmap, it's being worked on at the same time as the Mustang which is due out this summer/fall.

My wife thinks I'm crazy, but supports my passion for aviation and the sim. Anytime I try to talk about it though she rolls her eyes. She has flown the hog (and FSX) quite a few times and does just fine. I started her on the runway one day, she took off, flew around, and landed just fine (barely had to show her the switches on the TM Warthog). She hates it when I watch though, lol.

That's definitely true! Right now working on 35 different A-10s, and I'm glad I have the base textures.

Another little update I added a coat of paint to the MIP. I've also started test fitting some images. The LDG panel is something I carved out of wood but is more of a prototype. I'll most likely buy one from Pitbldr when I can convince the wife I need more money. The piece of wood in the middle is the first layer of the steps, and will be 7 layers total. You can also see the bottom side of what I'm working on for where the pull handles are.

No worries T. It was also meant for anyone else that thinks that ED is making it just for a show. I personally think it's a great idea.:thumbup: As for the map, I wonder if those with the know can make up a pacific theater map. Obviously nothing huge, but... I don't know... Hawaii for Pearl Harbor, or Midway Island? Doing a European theater might be easier since we're close to there now... but doing the island hopping from dirt strips would be cool like back in the 40s.

You actually won't neccessarily need one. It would be good to have, and I'm sure they will, but I never use it. I'm planning on making skins for anyone who wants them.

Since the thread is about a map for the mustang, it only shows purpose that we talk about the possibility of there being a WWII area map instead of life only taking place in the Crimean. Granted Nevada will add something for the modern aircraft, but it would be great to see a European or Pacific map for the Legends only. It doesn't need to be anything big either. To comment on something you said though... "DCS was about accurately modelling combat aircraft"... ? What do you think the Mustang is, just something for us to fly around in? The Mustang was one of the greatest combat aircraft ever built and still flying today after 70 years (albeit seriously expensive).

Maybe something in Europe over Germany (WWII style, not current... except maybe having Spangdahlem AB where the A-10s are). This way you could run scenarios between Europe and south, and the WWII Legends aircraft have a "battlefield" to fly in. I for one think it'd be cool to fly over Berlin, find my old workplace, and put some holes in the warehouse. ,)

Little update I finally finished cutting out the MIP. The cut came out good, but made a mess of the kitchen (sure glad the wife went out for the day...:doh:). I also added a couple pictures of my new TACAN. I'll be taking it to my wife's uncle since he works with electronics all the time to see if we can figure something out. I think panels like this or some of the others would be much easier than the gauges on the MIP.... but we'll see. Time to go clean the dust out of the kitchen, and put a base color on the MIP.

I've been working on and off doing A-10 skins at the request of quite a few people. Currently I'm designing roughly 35 different A-10 textures for a few. I thought I would put it out there and mention that as soon as the Mustang is released, I will be making skins for anyone who would like their own personalized Mustang Skin. These can range from a real Mustang scheme, to sending me a picture or idea for a custom made version. If you are interested, send me a PM now with your email address and that you are interested and and I will get in contact with you. Skins will be made in order of first come first served. Ordering now will ensure a quick release of your skin as I will have time to design it now and send the files upon release (or shortly after depend on the number of requests) of the DCS: Mustang. Just a side note, for any skins made, a small donation is appreciated but not required. I will still gladly do skins for everyone, but that may take a bit of time away from other things, hence the donation note. I have also created a new email address for requests. Most of the sign shops here in Berlin seem to use acrylic sheeting. I'll check around some more, but looks like I may need to order from online.
