  1. If I find one to buy, you can gladly come over and fly with me...
  2. I meant to add that my idea still stands in that for the jets with 2 version, we should get both. F-16C/D, F-15C/E, F-18E/F... Single player and MP missions alone could be flown in the single seater, and MP if wanted could fly the two seater. This would alleviate the problem of the AI.
  3. Time to buy a nice 2-seat cockpit tub with a projector box for some really good 2-seat play.
  4. And the fact that people are so dependent on the Internet, that if you have a few seconds of slow speed (compaired to minutes or hours... Or days on a modem), people get annoyed. Thanks much R1. These have definitely helped. I'll post pictures of my panels in a few days.
  5. I wouldn't mind an old A model pit. There's one at the Eglin AFB musuem in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. I've sat in that thing many times over the years, last time being 2006. I'm actually from NJ. Moved to Germany a few years ago, but if there was an A-10 cockpit tub, I'd buy and set it up at my folks place. Itd give them a reason to give me my room back, lol. My wife and I don't have all that much room here anyway.
  6. It's been in the wish list for a long time, and something I really want too.
  7. Hey Reactor, can you tell me where you got the images to use here on the two eyebrows? I was thinking of painting it myself onto the wood, but your images look much better... and if you didn't paint them yourself, can you tell me how you applied the images? Thanks!
  8. looking good Whisky! Any word on what we talked about?
  9. If you ever come across an A-10 pit, let me know!
  10. And you'd go about doing that... how?
  11. I have 2 issues. The first being that the Comms menu, when pressing the MIC switch forward on my TM Warthog, the menu doesn't stay open like in A-10. I have to hold the switch forward to see my options. Any ideas? Second issue is due to the export a few of us have been asking about. I have some gauges for the cockpit that work fine in A-10C standalone, but not in World because of the export. Any information?
  12. I bet they do/will look funny without it. Having that strapped to the right side of the nose for so long, then not, would be like giving an F-16 a T-tail. It's just gonna look weird.
  13. Good Luck Guys. It'll be great to see A-7s and A-6s plus the F-14D and hopefully F/A-18 all on a good working Carrier. Although I'm more for USAF, I'd love to be in an A-6E with a BN crossing the beach "feet dry" in formation with another Intruder.
  14. Or in general. My altimeter works fine in A-10 and BS, but not in world. :(
  15. I'm not sure how else to say this. Yes, I do want all actual gauges. Regardless of the price, I'd rather have actuals, than digital representations.
  16. Actually, right now they have the airspeed, VVI, G-meter, and AoA. They are currently building an engine gauge cluster pack, eHSI/ADI (although I heard they are trying to make an actual HSI with navigation info) and a fuel/Hyd gauge set for the fuel panel. The only thing I see with the Altimeter is that in a steep descent (hard dive) the pointer goes slower than in the sim... But that that could be just my PC. I am definitely going to get the IAS, VVI and AoA for the front panel. When the others are done I'll get those too. If I can upload the video, I'll post it for sure. Edit: price for the altimeter is 200€, free shipping within EU. Not sure what it is outside the EU. If I were to buy a real one, or build one myself, because I'm terrible at building these things id probably spend 3 times as much. Not. Sure which to get next thou, IAS or VVI. IAS is 200€,VVI is 150€. I might be able to get one for my Bday in August. Hehe Thoughts?
  17. Well, the nice thing about this and VVI, I can use them with anything. I can also use the gauges in FSX.
  18. Got my new toy. Here's a quick photo of my new Altimeter from Simmeters. It works great! A little pricey, but definitely worth it to have working gauges with DCS instead of a monitor. I did take a video (from my iphone) but I can't seem to upload it.
  19. I know this has been mentioned in the past, but was wondering if there was a fix. I have a working Altimeter, that works fine in single-player, but when in MP, it doesn't pick up any information. I'm sure it's related to the export.lua. Does anyone know if there's a workaround?
  20. Just awesome Reactor! These will definitely help in filling in my pit! Are You planning on doing every panel, including CDU and MFCDs? Also, any chance for the engine gauges and panel?
  21. I have it, but can't use it. I get an error about my graphics card...
  22. What kind of wire are you using? I have about 100ft of pretty thin speaker wire. Any idea if I could use that to wire the LEDs for my caution panel (also from Pitbldr)?
  23. Ethereal is pretty close. On WWII aircraft, a zinc chromate primer was applied to all parts preventing corrosion. If you look at pictures of WWII aircraft from the insides, they have that color. Throughout the years, it was changed from just "Zinc Chromate" to "Zinc Chromate Green". Pre-WWII aircraft used a more yellow color. Today, A primer without Zinc is used by most companies.
  24. Hey DM, My covers arrived today. Thanks! All my wife had to say was "why?", hehe. They'll never understand. ;)
  25. The total for all the gauges is $1441 including software. I'll be getting the FSX software too. If you wanted to stay around $1000, I'd suggest getting the airspeed, altimeter, VVI and heading indicator (plus software for DCS). The total is $1156, free shipping.
