F-5E Dynamic Campaign: Desert Tiger 76

Ok thanks PB0_CEF, I'll try that. I did open the mission editor before flying to check the steerpoints and zoomed into Creech but didn't notice anything standing out. Having said that though I wasn't looking for target triangles. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
F-5E Dynamic Campaign: Desert Tiger 76
Scotch75 replied to MBot's topic in User Created Missions General
Hey Folks, I'm really enjoying this campaign on dcs 2.2.0. Great work MBot [emoji106] I have a quick question about Air Base targets. I have been assigned the strike mission at Creech to hit fuel tanks and ammo warehouses. The fuel tanks are easy enough to see, but where do you pick out the ammo warehouses? Is there any intel available about buildings at the various bases? Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Ok, so I managed to get this notional RAAF default skin selectable by adding ....{USA} to the description.lua after reading some related posts. However, I thought it still would have shown up because "Australia" is listed in Blue forces in the mission. Does anyone know why I would have had to edit the .lua to get this Australian skin to be selectable? There are a lot more skins in the ...../Bazar/Liveries/A10-C folder that are not showing up in the select list even though their respective "countries" are listed in the mission parameters. Cheers! Hey Folks, Slightly off topic in that I am still using the legacy versions not 2.5ob, I have thought why a lot of the skins are not selectable. For example, I wanted to apply Strut's notional RAAF A10-C livery in TTI (single player offline). "Australia" is listed in the Allies section in the mission but the skin is not available in the drop down list. I did a search as I know this skin was included in the core game. I found it in the "..../Bazar/......." part of the file directory (can't remember the exact path - not at my computer). So there is another location for skins/liveries...... Yet, still not selectable. Is this just a repository to copy and paste skins from? Cheers! Dave Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

EA-6B Prowler cat shot cockpit view

I would say catapult time is very scarce so all of these checks need to be carried out in the least time possible to keep operations moving along. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Hey Folks, I've been reading these posts about micro stutters, great information here. It made take interest in how my mid range rig would stand up. I fired up DCS 2.2.0 (I have not taken the plunge yet into DCS 2.5 OB) and loaded deadlyfishes TTI Las Vegas. With TrackIR on, sitting at Nellis, I checked the CPU affinity through Task Manager to see that all for logical cores (i5-6600K no HT) had a nicely spread load. The screen shot is showing about 70 - 80 fps. I have deferred shading on, MSAA off in DCS, and vsync "fast" (I believe my monitor is only 60Hz 1080p), FXAA and MSAAx2 on in the Nvidia CP. I don't know what is going on there. I have never set CPU affinity, so it appears DCS uses the 4 cores every time it loads? I haven't OC'd anything and i'm not running Process Lasoo. I flew the F5 around yesterday on the same settings and was getting consistently 100 - 120 fps. Anyway, have a look at the attached screenshot (hope it works ok). This may all change when 2.5 Stable is released. Great discussion in this topic  Cheers!

Looks awesome Strut. Well done. Great to see some more RAAF skins. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Great tip Lucas, I started using a lot more rudder when trying to shake a pursuer, but I haven't got that timing right. The high G loop with cross control is interesting. Will give that a go. Cheers! [emoji482] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Your gyros will also get thrown out after reasonably heavy manoeuvring, acceleration and deceleration. Even persistent turbulence throws them out. Then add gyroscopic precession which occurs over a longer period of time. So this all as expected in the sim. AFAIK there is no gyro "cage" in the f5. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Hey Ciribob, I am almost at the stage of trying MP on a server using your SRS. Reading through this thread, you have done amazing work as SRS adds far more realism in operating aircraft and using radios and RT properly (I am an ATC by trade). Well done mate, keep up the great work :worthy: Just a quick question about microsoft .NET Framework, as I have no idea what it is or how it works: Your install instructions state that .NET framework 4.6.2 must be installed for SRS to work - My Win10 has had the Fall Creators update applied. A registry check reported the .Net Framework 4.7.1 is installed. So is this backwards compatible or will I still need to install 4.6.2 and the codecs? Cheers! Dave

Yes I know how you feel. I fired up the F5 on Deadlyfishes' "Through the Inferno" to practice A2A "Easy" on OA 2.2.0 NTTR. A Mig31 spawned, so I immedately jettisoned tanks and headed for the deck and hills in the opposite direction. A minute later I got a launch warning. I flew as low as I could through the hills dropping chaff. Next minute "Boom". I watched the replay. The Mig31 climbed on burner to about 35K, then launched the equivalent of a Phoenix missile from about 30 miles away. I tracked the missile view, even after my evasion in the weeds, the missile (AA9 I think) homed in true on me. More practice I guess, lol.... Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

I'm thinking maybe a flare or chaff charge catching on fire or malfunctioning. Best to be able to jettison it than cause fire in flight. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Hey Mase Just doing a gross error check here so hopefully not stating the obvious, but do you have easy comms checked in options? If so, this may be causing the radio to switch to manual. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

I don't know if you have already tried this or not, but I thought there was a check box in settings somewhere. Something like "Scale GUI ..... " Cheers Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Not possible to minimize game/borderless fullscreen
Scotch75 replied to D4n's topic in Game Performance Bugs
As a bit of a rough guess, check into the W10 game DVR function that was sneakily installed and activated last week sometime by M$. Apparently it is playing havoc with full screen gaming etc and using a lot of resources. You can disable it and the game mode bar in W10 settings. Just a thought. Did someone say F111? Yes please......... please

Hi Guys I just wanted to report that after a rearm and refuel any external tanks seem to remain empty. I researched and found this mentioned quite a while ago and wasn't sure if a work around had been found. I tried "rearming" the external fuel tank (2.1.1 NTTR), then refuel but it made no difference. It seemed only the internal tanks were filled to 100%. I had all boost pumps and cross feed off. Cheers Dave Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Gday Folks, I have noticed over the past few months that the UP position of the flap switch on the TM Warthog throttle has become very dodgy and only sometimes registering the input. I suspect the switch may be on its way out. I haven't as yet had a chance to open it up and see if it is dust or anything impeding the contact. I have searched the TM website but I could not find anything about replacement switches/parts. Does anybody know where I can source said replacement switch? Many thanks in advance, Dave Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

What is the best way to deactivate/activate for new build
Scotch75 replied to Scotch75's topic in Payment and Activation
Thanks fellas [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk -
Gday Folks, Shortly I'll be gutting my old x58 for a new skylake/z270 build and doing a fresh install for everything. In researching this on the forums, I have seen 2 ways to deactivate, then activate modules and dlc. The first way is in the stickie by Wags in this forum by going through the file directory and running the [module]protect.exe. The second is by going through the GUI and module manager. So what way does everyone think is best? Do both methods do exactly the same thing? Many thanks in advance Cheers! Dave Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
