Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
Scotch75 replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Hey Folks, I've been trying to have a go on this server, but it is not showing up in the server list, nor can I connect via IP. I searched through this thread and found quite a few people having the same problem. Within my router and via CMD, I have tried to ping the IP, it says "Timed Out". I did a Tracert to the IP, it gets out of Australia, over to the US, the last IP it gets to is [91.121.215.178] (be103.gra-g1-nc5.fr.eu site) then continues to time out. I have tried with Firewall on and off, IPv6 enabled and disabled, and personal PC protection enabled and disabled, all with the same result. SRS seems to be able to connect ok (fully aware this is a different server). Could this be a case of Geo lock, or my ping being too high for the server? Any thoughts? Cheers! -
[FIXED with HOTFIX 3] 2.5.3 openbeta crash(Nevada and Persian gulf)
Scotch75 replied to Sonoda Umi's topic in Game Crash
Maybe try this guys. I was thinking the crash may have something to do with the change in DRM so it needs to be reinitialised under your DCS login module manager. This appears to have worked for me. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3615918 Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Multiply the minute decimal point value by 60 to get the seconds. ie. 24N 38 12.25E would be, 0.25x60 = 15 Converts to 24 00 00N 38 12 15E Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Hey folks, Possible solution to the Nevada map causing this CTD. I couldn't load a Nevada mission or edit one in ME without a CTD. After doing a cleanup and repair on latest OB and drivers etc, still CTD. So, I entered the module manager and disabled the Nevada map under Installed "Terrains" tab. Dcs will make you restart the sim, do this. Once restarted, go back into the module manager and enable under the same tab. Again you will be told to restart the sim. Do this again and all appears to work normally. I did not reinstall, delete or change anything, except disable/enable the NTTR terrain module. It seems to have reinitialised with my account and all is working normally again at this stage. Hope this helps! Good luck Cheers! Dave Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
Scotch75 replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Hey Folks, I've been playing a lot of offline sp to learn the various modules, but would not mind trying some mp on this server. The Blue Flag campaign is an awesome concept and looks fantastic and very professional so kudos to all involved in setting it up and running it. My question is, how accepting and patient are the member players online to new players? I can fly the A10C, F5E and FA18 well enough, and employ weapons, however, I am very green to all of the intra-flight tactics and responsibilities. I believe I have SRS up and running ok and know how to use radio etiquette being a civilian ATC in RL with a PPL. I would be playing from Western Australia so I am UTC + 8, however, my ping may be reasonably high (upwards of 240ms). Would this be acceptable? Many thanks and regards, Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Hey Guys, I may have a possible solution to this deck sliding. While I was observing this, I got thinking, "could this be a view problem?". So in the F2 view, the system is trying to center on the aircraft. In settings under MISC. tab, I changed F2 view from "Floating" to "None". No more deck sliding on the carrier in F2 view, steady as a rock. Let ne know how you go. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Awesome work and kudos to all involved with getting the skyhawk "off the deck" lol... she looks a beauty! I wonder if someone may be able to produce a Royal Australian Navy 805 squadron skin? Admittedly it is an A-4G variant, which was tweaked from the US Navy specific A-4F. Nevertheless, they look essentially the same. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

I just hold the "ENT" button down a bit longer after typing in the new frequency and it takes every time. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

I use the RIGHT ARROW key (normally assigned to roll right (aileron)), if you are using a stick, the x axis will take care of the roll. It is pretty easy to find by feel on the keyboard. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Just got back in to DCS, still the same old problems.

Maybe try deleting the metashders2 and fxo folders in your "Saved Games" users folder. When you restart the sim, it will re-build these, so it may re-initialise your terrains. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

[REPORTED] Wingtip vertices visible on carrier

They seem disappear once you taxi away from your spawn point, then work as normal and expected when pulling G. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
[REPORTED] Wingtip vertices visible on carrier

Yes, I have this too on latest update 5. F10 map says carrier speed is 19. Cheers! Dave Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Hey folks, I've been using ME on latest 2.5OB to make some practice missions in learning to fly the F18C. I have added a tanker to practice AAR, but when I select EDIT on any waypoint on the "Route" tab, I can't change Altitude or Speed on any of the waypoints. I can't do this even for my own spawned player aircraft. I am probably missing the blatantly obvious, so any help and tips will be greatly appreciated. You also need to make the DDI that the radar is displayed on "sensor of interest" using the sensor left or right command. There will be a small dot in the top right corner of the DDI showing which is currently sensor of interest. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

TrackIR Forward Limitation Problem
Scotch75 replied to BiBa's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I think that may be designed as is for more accurate simulation of a pilot being strapped in very securely. There is limited movement anyway if harnesses etc are properly tensioned, especially for carrier recovery. You may want to bind "view zoom" to a hotas axis. Cheers! G'day Folks, Finally after days of practice I have recorded a reasonable (and successful :pilotfly:) Case 1 trap. Thanks both to Wags' and Jabbers' videos and explanations, and all who have participated in the forums. Feel free to critique, all taken on board. Note: Many sterns were damaged and airframes killed in the making of this film. Cheers!

diff.lua (versus) .lua files???
Scotch75 replied to Funkengreuven's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks Virus, could you expand please? When I am in the "Controls" GUI, it just saves one file. Or do I select a binding each on TM Throttle, TM Joystick, and Combat Rudder Pedals and save a .diff.lua each time, resulting in 3 files? Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
diff.lua (versus) .lua files???
Scotch75 replied to Funkengreuven's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey Folks, I thought I would bump this thread rather than make a new one. Like OP, I'm seeking more explanation on the xxx.diff.lua for control bindings that is saved in the saved games directory with current version of DCS World In the past, when I have changed bindings on the HOTAS for different aircraft, I choose "Save Profile As", resulting in a xxxx.diff.lua in my Saved Games/etc folder (which is backed up separately). When I have ever reinstalled DCS World, I thought I would just load said profile and all of my bindings would be preserved. However, after doing this, I have found I have to go through from scratch to re bind things anyway. So what is the purpose of the .diff.lua file? Am I using it correctly? Many thanks, Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Maybe check your right toe brake setting. It could be reversed therefore pulling right. Also check your throttle ranges for each engine to make sure you are getting symmetrical thrust. The last thing I can think of is make sure your rudder is centred and has no trim applied. Just doing some gross error checks (GECs). Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

I don't use TARGET at all for my TM Warthog HOTAS only the in-game GUI, so could the technique described in the post below be acceptable to set up the 3-way switches? (Flap lever, boat switch, speed brake switch etc). https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforums%2Eeagle%2Eru%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D89226&share_tid=89226&share_fid=74365&share_type=t Cheers! Does anyone know if the handle will be interchangeable with the existing warthog base and handle? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Ok, I just flew TTI Las Vegas single player (track IR 5 track clip pro) with DCS connected (login) with latest patch (2.5.1), latest Win10 update (1803) and latest nvidia drivers. I can report I had no microstutters and no freezes for the entire 4.5 hour session. I used GAU-8, mavericks (100% hits), GBU-12 (100% hits, lased from the drone), and CBU-105 (100% hits), watched the weapon camera each time, everything was as smooth as silk. Very happy with the performance. I just need to test on a multiplayer server/session now to see if it performs as well. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
