  1. So the line you provided is in addition to those already in the file and over-rides them in the GUI?
  2. Many thanks LeCuvier. I'm still a little confused. I looked at that file earlier and found the 3 coded lines that pertain to this Altitude Select button further down, it seemed to exist in the file (although maybe not exactly as you have typed above). Or is that just the file DCS reads to display it in the options GUI page? Sorry for my lack of understanding
  3. Hey Folks, I'm trying to map the Altitude Select (BARO/RDR) function in the F18 to thr RDR ALTM switch on the TM Warthog Throttle, which is JOY_BTN25. This does not appear in the Special Keys section. Would someone be able to walk me through this please? I'm ok editing .lua files, but I have no idea what to copy and paste into where etc... eg, Saved Games structure or the game installation structure. Muchly appreciated
  4. Hmmmm.... I thought I did have that knob on Mission. Well, I'll try it next time I fly. Thanks again [emoji106]
  5. Hey folks, Sorry for another possibly simple question. In the CDU how do you deactivate a flight plan? It seems once a flight plan is in, you are restricted to those waypoints. I've been trying to work out how to just type in a waypoint (eg Creech AFB) and just fly to it with steering info. All the system seems to want to do is overwrite the current waypoint (in the active plan) with the name/identifier only but keep the same coordinates. Many thanks
  6. Yeah, I was wondering which server.lua file (location) takes precedence. The default one, or the .../saved games/... one? Could they be conflicting?
  7. Hey Folks, many thanks for this guide and discussion. One question though: How do I get my TrackIR centre (run through TrackIR software) to be the same as my default view? After using zoom in/out to look for ground movers, I'd like to just hit my TrackIR centre keypress to return to default view/FOV. Cheers!
  8. A proud new owner of an F-14 here too [emoji1] I remember seeing them for real in about 1987 when the USS Constellation visited Fremantle, I was able to get onboard with the Air Force cadets. Wow, they were a huge aircraft. Well done Heatblur! Cheers!
  9. Ok thanks Wrench. I'll try that out next time flying [emoji106]
  10. Many thanks Frederf, that's a good technique. Prior to becoming airborne (sitting in the jet on the apron) does the CDU show you the distance between waypoints so you can do a quick calculation of the the DTOT eg between #5 and #6? I tend to fly the flightplan that is pre-loaded with the mission eg Red Flag.
  11. Ok thanks Emmy, I wasn't sure if I was missing something with the system. Cheers!
  12. G'day Warthog experts, I've been flying the Red Flag campaign on latest DCS World 2.5.3, learning how to use the CDU more effectively. In these missions, you are provided with a pre programmed flight plan, with a "Push" time for Waypoint 6. I have learned how to input that time as a DTOT for Waypoint 6. My question is, can the CDU EGI system provide you with a real time cumulative RIAS after take-off, even though you don't make Waypoint 6 a Steerpoint until later? ie. Can it display RIAS earlier so you can adjust your speed earlier accordingly while still following the flight plan to meet the PUSH time? It only seems to bring up the RIAS when Waypoint 6 is made the Steerpoint, by which time a major adjustment in speed is needed. Many thanks and kind regards Cheers!
  13. Hey Folks, Several shots of arrival into Nellis at dusk on Red Flag campaign. Cheers!
  14. Ok, thank you Sir.
  15. So does the F-16 mod make a flyable F-16 in game?
  16. @uscstaylor, awesome skins mate, they look spectacular, well done. Just to clarify, these skins are for the AI aircraft? What is the F-16 mod? Cheers!
  17. No problems here today on latest OB. Sometimes I forget to switch on the fuel boost pumps so the engine just spins up but does no ignite.
  18. Brilliant Jack. Well done, these skins look amazing. Many thanks again! Cheers!!
  19. After landing, a full shutdown then startup will delete any user made waypoints. Regards
  20. Hey thanks Jack, They look awesome already. Can't wait for the updates. Cheers! Dave
  21. So I did some research and found some A10-As were painted in an experimental and short lived "Peanut" scheme for the first Gulf War. I have included pictures. Would any skinners like to have a go at doing this for the C model? I think it would look good in the NTTR and Persian Gulf maps. I'm thinking of having a go myself using GIMP, but have never done any skins before. Were do I start? Cheers!
  22. Hey Folks, Now that we have a couple of "desert" maps available, I was wondering if there are any updated desert camo skins available for the Hog? The few I have found are over 5 years old and probably don't work in DCS 2.5.3. I was hoping they would be historically accurate, i.e. actual squadrons that served in Iraq or Afghanistan. Love the desert colours. Many thanks and kind regards Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah it's strange because I can connect to Blue Flag SRS server ok (shows connected on the SRS UI), it has the same IP but different port number at the end. Could this be a "Port" issue? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  24. Hey Folks, I've been trying to have a go on this server, but it is not showing up in the server list, nor can I connect via IP. I searched through this thread and found quite a few people having the same problem. Within my router and via CMD, I have tried to ping the IP, it says "Timed Out". I did a Tracert to the IP, it gets out of Australia, over to the US, the last IP it gets to is [91.121.215.178] (be103.gra-g1-nc5.fr.eu site) then continues to time out. I have tried with Firewall on and off, IPv6 enabled and disabled, and personal PC protection enabled and disabled, all with the same result. SRS seems to be able to connect ok (fully aware this is a different server). Could this be a case of Geo lock, or my ping being too high for the server? Any thoughts? Cheers!
  25. Thanks Mav, Fantastic tutorial and well explained mate. Has already improved my AAR technique and success. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
