  1. Hey Sorel, Man.... still can't get past this mission. I've tried different intercepts, but the migs always shoot at me first, then the sa3 and sa6s get me :) The flight doesn't see the migs until they are already firing their first volley of AAMs. I got 2 bombers down, but the other one ran, I had no hope of catching him lol. Cheers! Scotch
  2. @Strut, @PorcoRosso86, Hey guys, fantastic work on this skin. Just downloaded it and she comes up a real treat to the eyes. I love the weathering around the access patches, and the flash work on the curved skin looks brilliant. Well done to all involved Cheers!
  3. Geeez, how do you pass the bomber intercept mission (TU-22s)??? If the MIG-23s don't get you first, the SAMs get you. Must have already tried this about 15 times.... lol Cheers!
  4. Hey Sorel, Today I completed the CSAR mission (7 or 8?). I'm really enjoying this campaign and good to see the F-5E getting some love. Cheers mate! Fantastic work.
  5. Yeah, when you move throttle from off to idle, it starts introducing fuel immediately (your fuel flow gauge will jump). So I'd say by the time you get to your right engine, when you ignite it, its full of fuel so has a "mini explosion" rather than a controlled ignition. Cheers!
  6. Ahhrrrggghhh, Mission 4, we got 11 out of 12 Hips down. The last Hip crash landed on the runway so I rearmed and through Aim9s, ffars and strafed it. Mission debrief said it was "hit" many times, but it just wouldn't blow up. I couldn't progress lol..... Well don Sorel, I'm really enjoying this campaign. Fantastic work [emoji106]. Cheers!
  7. Moist????? Mate, I just had to change my underwear lol..... Brilliant work, well done Cheers!
  8. I bound the wheel brake (W) to the APU switch up (on the TM Warthog throttle) so it acts as a park brake as soon as I spawn. This saves me having to hold the "W" key down. Then just use the "W" key as normal when taxiing around or landing.
  9. Yes, I can second this ^^^ I'm fairly hopeless at BFM and ACM at the best of times, but I was able to own an AI F-5E in a guns only dogfight over and over by keeping a tight turning circle so the Tiger could not get a lead on me. When I was able, I could do an escape/acceleration manoeuvre to be able to gain separation, then re-engage. Eventually I was able to gun him, or he ran out of fuel and had to eject. I think the flight model is quite good, I was generally holding a 330 knots sustained turn, then a real yank down to 280 knots if he looked like getting lead pursuit. Definitely give it a go against like era aircraft. Cheers!
  10. @Dix well done! I haven't had a chance to try the mission yet, but I have one question; Where and how can the carrier script be incorporated into an existing mission, eg TTI Persian Gulf, if at all? Will that effect scripts already running?
  11. Hey Folks, Has anyone figured out a work around to rearm on the carrier? Playing SP TTI, I can do a hot start, depart the carrier, expend stores, then return to the carrier. At this stage I can do a hot refuel, but have to shut the engine down to rearm. Then, I can't restart the engine as per SDK limitations. Therefore I have been landing at a land base to rearm/refuel then continue the mission. I wonder if Merker may be able to code in an engine start without the huffer if the aircraft meets the same requirements it needs to conduct the catapult-less launch. Therefore you would need to shutdown in vicinity of the catapult, to then restart the engine after rearm/refuel. @Merker, also will your Oriskany mod have the same limitations as the Stennis, or will you have the freedom that catapults and restarts will be allowed on the mod? Many thanks to you and the entire team for this brilliant aircraft. Well done! Cheers! Scotch
  12. Yeah, it really puts into perspective how fortunate we are on our little blue planet and how immense the known universe is. The mathematics involved to plot an intercept on a celestial scale over such a long distance just boggles my mind. Well done NASA and all involved. Cheers!
  13. Fantastic work again Strut. Your photo of HMAS Melbourne with the S2 Trackers on it reminds me when I was posted to RAAF East Sale 15 years ago. A friend and I went to West Sale airport and found those Trackers in a hanger in various stages of breaking down for scavenge. Sad. Definitely looking forward to installing those skins. Cheers!
  14. Many thanks for the quick reply mate. So should I use the supplied loadout, or look at arming some rockets as well? I have a feeling rearming will take too much time and the grunts will be deployed before I even taxi lol... Cheers!
  15. Hey all you talented mission makers, I was just wondering if there were any SP era-correct missions or campigns in the works for the Scooter? I enjoy flying it on TTI SP, but I find all of the SAMs are too modern (eg SA10, 11, 12, 6 etc) and have too much reach for the poor old Shrike. Cheers! Scotch
  16. Hey SorelRo, just started playing this campaign, thoroughly enjoying it, well done. One question, what do I need to do to pass the recon/cap mission when the Mi8 Hips start dropping troops at Krasnodar? By the time I cold start and get to the AO, they have dropped quite a lot of troops on the airfield. We manage to shoot down over half of the helos then return to base. It won't let me progress to the next mission. Cheers! Scotch
  17. Yes, I found this too. When you start up and taxi, the crewman says "Hey what are you doing?" So it seems the refuelling doesn't finish. I am running the latest OB, on Deadlyfishes' TTI Normandy WW2 SP offline.
  18. All I can say is Wow!!!!! Awesome video again GA. Man, I wish I could get my shadows that crisp. Cheers!
  19. ^^^^^ +1000, please, lol
  20. You have to flick the pinky switch forward as well. It's on the left side of the throttle so works as a master on/off for selected lights.
  21. Thanks Brian, will give it a go shortly. Another question, has anyone figured out how to jettison empty fuel tanks? I've only found you can do this with the "Emerg Bomb" handle which jettisons all hard-points, so must be done once you have expended the payload. Cheers!
  22. Canopy reflections still glitched HHmmm..... So I deleted the original A-4E mod, downloaded and installed V1.01 with the canopy hotfix applied. Now I am getting large white blotches on the canopy as shown in attached images. I have tried deactivating the reactivating the mod in module manager, cleanup and repair of DCS, shadow settings flat, low, medium and high, lense effects with dirt, dirt + flare and off, with no effect. Strange, as I have watched some YT videos (eg PhilStyle) and his canopy looks perfect with scratches and all showing up. I don't remember seeing scratches at any time so far on my install. Is there a setting I'm missing? Running latest OB, latest NVidia drivers. I'll report on the supplied bug reporting site. Cheers!
  23. At work at the moment, if a remember correctly there are 2 black rotary knobs near the nav computer. As soon as electric power is supplied turn the master to STBY, it will take a couple of minutes to warm up. Once warmed up, turn it to LAND or SEA as appropriate. Put in your dest lat/long and mag ver if you know it (may not be modelled, but its not that big in PG). Once airborne turn the other switch to D1. Flick the toggle (right of the HSI) up to NAV COMP. The needle will give you the heading like an ADF but you also get distance in nautical miles. Gets me well within visual range (tested on PG with smoked targets). Again, only going from memory after a couple of hours flying around today but hopefully it will give you the general gist. Cheers!
  24. And the rudimentary nav computer is awesome too. Put in the destination lat - long, then fly the needle, quite accurate. Cheers!
  25. Ok, after some testing, this problem seems to disappear when you select shadows to FLAT in the game settings. If set to LOW MED or HIGH, the glitch returns.
