  1. Is there a rough ETA for DCS to start fixing the scripting bugs collected by Grimes in the OP? Will that happen soon, or is this very far down on the to-do-list?
  2. You are right, I mistyped. My post above yours has now been corrected.
  3. Is it only for an external camera, or also when I fly and look at the external scenery from within the cockpit. Two reasons why I ask: (i) as mentioned in this thread, I read many times that DOF also affects the in-cockpit FPS (which would not make sense if it only affected the camera views) (ii) DCS world Nevada looks great, with the exception of what I mentioned before. Textures well within the visual distance appear completely blurred (increasing the visibility range just makes you see blurred images even further out, but the distance when the blurring starts ("blurring distance") is not affected. And I think in DCS at the moment the "blurring distance" is far too close in. So, I wonder what setting I need to change to adjust that. Is it DOF?
  4. Can anyone explain to me what DOF does? Is it related to the following: I have DOF turned off, and flying over LV I can see the building in focus close by, but further out (still well within the visual distance no matter what I use for the visibility range setting) it appears completely blurred. Does DOF make this transition softer? Anyone know?
  5. Am I right that civilian traffic in Las Vegas cannot be turned off? I have "Civilian Traffic" as "Off" in my options, but there are still many, many cars driving around Vegas. Is it that this option only applies to civilian traffic outside LV?
  6. Are there any squadrons yet that train student pilots using the two-seat capability of the L-39? I might be interested in becoming a student:smartass:
  7. Helicopter War, Nevada edition EDIT: The mission has now been published in the user files section of the DCS webpag: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1584945/ This is my first attempt to transcribe "The Helicopter War" mission to Nevada. Have not yet carefully playtested it, bug reports welcome, will update regularly. One thing I've noticed is that radio beacon homing in the UH-1 does not work. Not sure if this is a script problem, or if it has not yet been implemented in Nevada.
  8. Let me correct Grimes' list. The correct list (if you don't use the correct spelling, DCS 2 will crash) is HS_airfields = { [1] = {name = 'Creech', id = 1}, [2] = {name = 'Groom Lake', id = 2}, [3] = {name = 'McCarran International Airport', id = 3}, [4] = {name = 'Nellis AFB', id = 4} }
  9. Is that new, how do you dismount the gunsight?
  10. Great, thanks!
  11. Hi, Has the NTTR airfield ID list been published, yet? What I mean is what replaces the following Caucasian list? HS_airfields = { [1] = {name = 'Khersones', id = 1}, [2] = {name = 'Saki', id = 2}, [3] = {name = 'Simpheropol', id = 3}, [4] = {name = 'Razdolnoe', id = 4}, [5] = {name = 'Dzhankoy', id = 5}, [6] = {name = 'Kirovskoe', id = 6}, [7] = {name = 'Kerch', id = 7}, [8] = {name = 'Belbek', id = 8}, [9] = {name = 'Krasnogvardeyskoye', id = 9}, [10] = {name = 'Octyabrskoe', id = 10}, [11] = {name = 'Gvardeyskoe', id = 11}, [12] = {name = 'Anapa-Vityazevo', id = 12}, [13] = {name = 'Krasnodar', id = 13}, [14] = {name = 'Novorossiysk', id = 14}, [15] = {name = 'Krymsk', id = 15}, [16] = {name = 'Maykop-Khanskaya', id = 16}, [17] = {name = 'Gelendzhik', id = 17}, [18] = {name = 'Sochi-Adler', id = 18}, [19] = {name = 'Krasnodar-Pashkovsky', id = 19}, [20] = {name = 'Sukhumi-Babushara', id = 20}, [21] = {name = 'Gudauta', id = 21}, [22] = {name = 'Batumi', id = 22}, [23] = {name = 'Senaki-Kolkhi', id = 23}, [24] = {name = 'Kobuleti', id = 24}, [25] = {name = 'Kutaisi', id = 25}, [26] = {name = 'Mineralnye Vody', id = 26}, [27] = {name = 'Nalchik', id = 27}, [28] = {name = 'Mozdok', id = 28}, [29] = {name = 'Tbilisi-Lochini', id = 29}, [30] = {name = 'Soganlug', id = 30}, [31] = {name = 'Vaziani', id = 31}, [32] = {name = 'Beslan', id = 32} }
  12. Is it that the gun sight glass can now be folded up?
  13. Hi, Not sure if this has been mentioned by someone yet, but since 1.5 in the cockpit of Russian aircraft (I've tried the Mi-8 and Mig-15) the gauges are labeled with Chinese characters. I already tried a repair DCS, did not fix it for me.
  14. awesome!
  15. Really? Is this new? I never noticed that this was necessary in prior versions of DCS...
  16. Great work, impalor. Hopefully this will help the devs get to the bottom of this!
  17. Still not working in 1.5.1:cry:
  18. Thanks gospadin! Didn't see that bug report!
  19. Hi, This doesn't seem to work any more since the latest patch of a couple of days ago. I copied your default.lua into the correct folder, and the alternate flap commands appear, but you can now only assign a keyboard command or rudder button to it, the other options are greyed out. In particular I would like to assign those to my warthog throttle, but I cannot select it. Worked perfectly until the latest patch. Help!
  20. This bug seems to still exist in the latest 1.5 patch of a couple of days ago. Why? Shouldn't be too difficult for the ED team to change the setting for Ultra.lua just as Mustang did:doh:
  21. but are the hardcoded numbers at least now the correct numbers, or do we still need to change those by hand?
  22. anybody know, did this get fixed with today's hotfix 3, or do we still have to manually fix this as per instructions in various posts in this thread?
  23. Yeah:)
  24. new towed cargo? that would be sweet!
  25. Hi Sith, Not sure I agree with you. Most of us report that things are fine (or at least acceptable) if we use FLIR in CCD mode, and the drop in FPS occurs only if we switch to WHOT or BHOT IR mode. If all three were causing low FPS, I'd buy it that it's an issue of low VRAM, but it is not clear to me at all that on the same system CCD works fine, but not IR. Wouldn't understand why IR is more VRAM intensive, unless there's a bug or something like this. And to say it again, I have 4 gigs of VRAM.
