fixed GBU 24 falling way short? Bug or user error?
Fulcrumkiller31 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Tested on a few missions since patch. Appears to persist in single and multi player. Am I missing something? I was under the impression the GBU 24 has slightly better range as well. I get the DLZ, release about midway, the bomb falls way short. Release angle is zero, auto lase is set to 15 seconds. GBU24 borked.trk- 24 replies

A powered USB hub seems to have fixed my issues. However it randomly happened again today after 20 days of zero problems. Could have been a fluke.

Any luck?

This exact same thing is happening to me. Currently experimenting with fixes. I've updated all the firmware, checked for USB ports going to sleep, checking different ports. Just when I think its fixed it happens again! seems like a software bug

Maybe this is normal but I thought I would give my input. I have done about 20 traps thus far and gotten the following results: ACLS mode 1, minimal wind, ship at 25 knots I hit the 1 wire most times. ACLS mode 1, 10 knots wind, ship at 25 knots, bounces the hook and bolter. (manually flown I get 2-3 wire most times, almost need to go to milpower to catch a wire) If I turn wake turbulence off. ACLS mode 1, 3 wire every time. Maybe burble is too strong? Or, this is how it is in real life. Must be quite an exciting experience. EDIT: According to a SME flight ops don't typically happen at 30kts... Ill try slowing it down to 10-15 knots and see what the difference is.

2016 Hardware Benchmark - DCS World 1.5.x
Fulcrumkiller31 replied to tiborrr's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Finally got my new computer up and running! I7 12700KF 32GB DDR4 Corsair 3600 EVGA 3070TI FTW3 HP Reverb G2 PD 1.0 Mostly high settings terrain shadows off. I get 40-60 FPS down low in Syria and Marianas -
X+Y axis stopped working randomly. Spent about 4 hours messing with drivers, finally looked underneath it and noticed a loose wire. Broken right at the socket. Only 6 months old. Currently overseas so getting a replacement to an APO would take 8+ weeks. Going to try for a solder and order another most likely. Eventually replace with something NOT winwing.

But those are mods. A skin that can be utilized native is worth a lot. Especially the navy F16 skins! VF-126 has huge potential.

Rather disappointing hotfix, I know ED is working hard but a FLIR update would be great...

I play with my dad who is 61, this is a total game changer. One issue we ran into today, his mark points were way off target but mine were dead on, server desync or INS issues?
-
Its not better than before, there is still no heat plume like in the AH64. Its more than them just being swamped. the Hornet is even worse.
-
Has anybody seen an update for the FLIR implementation on the F16? Seems radio silent, I understand these things take time but the threads were locked almost immediately and there have been no updates since. Also: HUGE shout out to the ED team on the last update, Apache is simply breathtaking, Performance didn't take a hit, and the FM changes are wonderful.

Would love to see an AIM120 C-7 or even the D come to some of the modern US aircraft. F16/F15E/F18C should all at least be carrying the C7. Given the Meteor is being developed, something more modern would be greatly appreciated. May not be possible but with CFM maybe it is?

Feedback Thread - F-14 Tomcat patch Jan 27th 2022
Fulcrumkiller31 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Thank you for the update IronMike! I think the fact that the HB team stays engaged says a lot. Look forward to the guidance changes coming. Additionally and I'm not going to press this too much but there are some rumors and vague posts that the AIM54C does indeed have the ability to go active on its own(INS). Will this be implemented or is it just rumors. ?? Just want to confirm or squash once and for all. -
Feedback Thread - F-14 Tomcat patch Jan 27th 2022

I am seeing the exact same thing. It appears completely broken/unusable at this point. My tests were done at 30k ft 45k ft M1.1 vs a 20k bandit and 30k bandit. Most shots taken between 30-60 miles. Missile lofts, bleeds energy insanely fast, then misses target. EDIT: I placed the targets at 40 K ft. Launched at 70 miles, missile made to to 78k ft, retained most of its energy and actually impacted the target (MIG29). Fastest I can get the missile is M3.4. Maybe a bit too much drag at the lower flight levels? Just speculating, I will try and upload some track files soon. -
How would I go about adding a flyable aircraft to a different country that does not have it?:helpsmilie: Thanks in advance!

SSD OCZ Agility too slow???!!!!
Fulcrumkiller31 replied to Robski's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Dont bother with ISRT, causes many bugs with SSDs. And yes the results look ok, remember those numbers are WORST CASE with certain types of files you will get 400+mb/s while others you will be down to 150. There are certain settings and tweeks you can use to bump up the speed a little but I cannot remember off the top of my head how I did mine although I know for a fact it isnt much faster. -

Awesome video, how cool would an Africa map be? -
seeding as fast as I can! :joystick:

I don't know much about making maps etc, but I can assume that creating an ocean map with no land (maybe a few islands) would be very easy and quite fun to fly in, assuming naval warfare has been revamped and there are naval aircraft in DCS. Why do you guys think? Good idea?:smartass:

If any naval fighters come out ed or a 3rd party should just make an ocean scenery, like pacific with no land. Would be easy to make
