I press Bx and then 8 to select it and the computer does nothing. I try and program it and it appears to go into B8 and not Bx8.

So before the patch I followed John's video and was able to use the Rb-15s successfully. 1. Took off 2. Flew to an approx waypoint to start looking for ships 3. Found ships on the radar 4. Successfully radar fixed Bx8 near them 5. Successfully radar fixed Bx7 since they were in a port and I had to attack from a specific direction 6. Got correct HUD symbology and pickled 7. Ship is no more Now post patch, all ready to try it in an op with my buddies and: 1. Took off 2. Flew to an approx waypoint to start looking for ships 3. Found ships on the radar 4. Everything fell apart because I couldn't select Bx8 on the computer to set it. Tried setting it manually with coords and it apparently got stored in B8 instead. Tried it in both NAV and APPR mode (I use english pit. Fite me.). Weapon dial set to attack. Nothing I seems to do shows me ANY of the Bx# points on the nav computer... Did I muck it up? New bug? q_q Brave pilots were (virtually) lost to a ship that I was supposed to delet.

Same here. The export is extraordinarily dark.

Which Black Hog Controller Layout for DCS?
Eihort replied to HunchyTheHuncher's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Good gravy still nothing from these people. Has anyone gotten their stuff? -
Considering the missile will generally continue in the same direction it was going when it lost signal, you don't really need a dedicated circuit for this logic, but you can put in delay circuits so that the signal drops off "slowly" instead of instantly throwing it into the search logic, so if you do reacquire "quickly" it's already looking in the best place.

The Gazelle is.. incomplete. I'd definitely go for the Mirage. I own both.

I remember way back in the day they were trying to position DCS as a "multi-platform professional simulation tool" in much the same vein as Steel Beasts and VBS2, which was going to include naval units. Never really did see anything come of it. Not sure if this predated the A-10C or not... My memory is faulty, being an old fart.

As was stated in previous posts, no, it's not talking back to the launching aircraft, but internally comparing what it sees coming off the launching aircraft's radar (which has to be doppler shifted because the missile is travelling away from the aircraft at great speed) via the rear antenna with what it's seeing come off the target (which should be something other than zero) via the nose antenna. Chaff slows down quickly so that radar return is filtered out as doppler reaches zero, it then looks for one in the appropriate frequency range, hopefully finding the target again. The size of these doppler filters and how fast the missile can reacquire and how fast it scans it's detection cone etc. etc. are the super classified bits. This is why you notch the launching aircraft/missile and dump chaff. Get the seeker off you and looking out into space and going away from you.

A pod will also cover the rear quarter, you know, when you're egressing. ;)

Sure. Won't come to the one in Vegas but you'll go be Florida Man... Have fun! :D

Which Black Hog Controller Layout for DCS?

Last Email I received on May 8th: Production status and delivery times We have received lots of emails and messages trough social media, so I decided to give you guys all the information in one spot. We will still answer every single one of them, please take note that we are very busy right now with production, so it might take a bit more than usual to answer. My initial expectations for delivery times have been too optimistic, but we keep working every day to minimize the delay. There have been some hiccups with the materials, like delays on deliveries or quality not matching our standards, making us ask for second or third round of materials until quality was reached. For now I can only ask for a bit more patience, while assuring that you made the right decision choosing BlackHog, and that we are doing everything to deliver the best quality product. These are the initial steps of the project and specially of the production. It’s a matter of time to have a streamlined production process. At this moment is hard to talk about specific dates, we will contact individually everyone of you that made a purchase once your product is ready for production. The demand is high, but as we optimize the process it will be easier to shorten delivery times, as it’s improving exponentially. -
There's a little more that's going on there but that website gets the gist of it (it doesn't get into blind speeds). Another method of resolving the range ambiguity is changing the pulse interval. The one return that comes back at the same time across different intervals is the "real" one.

Well I can't even get it to work with a relog/restart of the client now, so multiplayer 'catting from a boat is pretty much unplayable unless you want incredibly lousy INS fixes.
-
It appears that if we leave the boat for any reason and return, it's broken until we both leave the server and rejoin.
-
Been on non-dedicated servers and not had this problem. This includes returning via respawn in a new jet.

Okay, I'm at my wits end with this. On the 107th server, and semi-regularly, CAINS will not stay on. I've got the right datalink freq for the carrier I'm on as stated by the kneeboard. Datalink Power set to ON Parking Brake ON. I flip the CAINS switch and it goes right back to off again, and I cannot align using the system. I quit out, and my pilot can get Jester to do it. What am I doing wrong or is this a bug? It's about a 50/50 shot that it'll work in any given carrier based jet.

dem floods, yo.

Also going to chime in again. I have never used a vertical setup on mine, and as I'm the OP, I had the issue. Here is my setup, with 4k on 1, and 1024x768 on 3. 2 is to the right of 3. I have DCS resolution at 4864 x 2160 pixels (4K + the 1024, and the export lua is like the third or fourth post in the thread. When I use HD, it's just 1080+1024 to get the smaller monitor on there.

I brought it up in bugs & problems. It's on the list to be added. (Stick removal option)

[DCS BUG] Multiplayer spawning on carrier = explosions
Eihort replied to ScopeDope's topic in Bugs and Problems
It's not entirely related to deck sliding. There's another issue we've noticed with multiplayer on carriers. The wings are often desynched across clients. In this particular case, I was in spectator and saw two F-14s chilling next to each other, wings overswept. The moment I spawn as a RIO, the wings on the aircraft I've spawned into are suddenly all the way out and then the explosions happened. If there's no one there to collide into, it's not until the Pilot moves the wings to they suddenly synch up. -
Looked all over and couldn't find one and the module ignores the global setting on the main menu. If there isn't one, could really use it as it blocks a large part of the HSD.

[MOD] DCS Kneeboard Position by uboats
Eihort replied to uboats's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Yeah I was able to fix it. My problem is that my 2nd monitor is a small 1028x768 just for Cougar MFDs, so my full display is 2948x1080, so part of the kneeboard is off the bottom of the smaller screen because it goes bottom right. -
[MOD] DCS Kneeboard Position by uboats

Rise thread! Is there a way to do this and pass integrity check? I too have a multi-monitor setup and part of my kneeboard just disappears. I can go edit the file and put in the solid values, but then I fail integrity check. :(
