Taxi/Runway lights are gone
Eihort replied to Eihort's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
No, I mean I can't see the physical lights rendered. They show up at night, but the models of the lights are missing. I used to see them and suddenly I don't. -
Have a plan before you go into the fight about where you'll try and rejoin, what altitude, and which way you'll be turning. Have several points set up like this over specific landmarks that are easy to see at the altitude you've agreed upon. Then you'll always know if your buddy is saying he's heading for "Rally Point Bravo", you'll know he'll be at, say 20k feet in a right hand turn when he get's there. FAILURE TO PLAN IS A PLAN FOR FAILURE.

I have a separate entry when they fire magics. EDIT: Disregard. That was an unusual event that showed a "Matra Magic II" vs "MATRA" object hitting something. I guess my question is now why doesn't Tacview differentiate between the missiles when they're fired but can under different circumstances?
-
Just noticed that I no longer see the taxiway and runway lights along the side of them while I taxi during the day.... Where'd they go?
-
I've noticed in my Tacview files, that I'm seeing M2Ks fire 4 Matras in a single sortie. Explanation? I can only put two on my aircraft.
-
Yeah my stick doesn't even move, at all, and this issue makes it impossible to complete the scripted training mission.

Same issue here. Needle doesn't move at all. :(

Anyone got a set of MFG Crosswinds on Order?
Eihort replied to Whiskeybravo's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
These things are awesome. Ordered mine at the end of December and they showed up a few weeks ago. I had initially ordered white, but apparently he'd done a run of the charcoal (or whatev) color and sent me an email asking if I wanted those now, or wait for white ones. Didn't care about the color, and I'm loving them. -

Controls config going to black screen when pressing "OK"
Eihort replied to Eihort's topic in Resolved Bugs
Digging in that folder showed no Crosswind lua file. I went into the axes config for the M2k and just hit okay and got back to the main menu. Then I went into the axes config again and was able to change without crashing. I'd guess it didn't create a lua for the Crosswinds and when it tried to save, it had a bunch of invalid and null values because the file didn't exist. -
Got myself some nice new Crosswinds and went to set up all my modules. Every module works fine except this one. I click the OK button and it just goes to a black screen. The app doesn't hang though so I can't produce an error report but it just sits on the back screen with no mouse visible. I believe this is the log file snippet in question. The next time stamp is me killing the exe and the shutdown process. I can't even go in and just clear the assignments and save it, same result, which is what I tried here. 00060.617 ALERT LUACOMMON: Error: GUI Error: [string "./Scripts/Input\Data.lua"]:1612: attempt to index local 'defaultCommand' (a nil value) GUI debug.traceback: stack traceback: [C]: ? I hope they keep trying to make the engine more streamlined and don't just stop with this. Because now ED can just milk us for more money.

First post is completely inaccurate. Here's the pic if you're not in-game.
-
It may be shifted, however, the chaff only program drops a chaff and a flare.
-
Also realize with the army during a shooting conflict, they'd have to take into account the ranges of enemy artillery. Sure, you could put the SA-10/12 near the front, but if five Paladins know where it is and it's within range, it's toast. One of the reasons the systems are so mobile.

As of the time of this message, I couldn't get the server to show up on my list, even though I was just on it. There were people in TS on the server and playing. Does it not show up if it's full? I still find it hard to believe that it was full at this time of night.

You can see by my join date I've been here a while. I don't post much, mostly because I'd rather be playing the game... Well right now it's broken in multiplayer because I can't click anything because my mouse cursor just vanishes randomly. Still no working ECM light and Chaff and Flare quantity in the MiG-29. Not sure if the 21 is back from "crashes the game" status yet, but it was down for a while because of things ED changed. These types of threads pop up every now and then. I know because I went back and looked at my message history. A few stand outs, including one, where four years ago I joked about which was going to come out first: TacPack or DCS 2.0, back when I believe DCS 2.0 was going to be what 2.5 is planned to be, a complete integration. Yeah, TacPack won that one, despite my misgivings about TP and VRS. I firmly believe that best thing for ED, is that they're pretty much the only game in town. I also firmly believe that the worst thing for ED, is that they're pretty much the only game in town. Pick a multiplayer server and get on their TS. It takes very little prompting to start the poop talking about some of the long standing problems in the game. You want to bring more new players to it, some of the more obvious small, long standing issues would be a good place to start. The last several patches haven't gone well at all with things breaking badly upon release. However, yes, since then we've had this little thing like VR come along, and that had to re-prioritize some people to make that work better, but it's still far from perfect. I'm in the A-10C easy spring mission and getting all sorts of hitching bad enough to make me just want to quit the game for a while. On the other hand, we're a captive audience. If we had a real choice between products, a lot of us would probably jump ship after all this, but the reality is no one else is doing this kind of game right now and won't for the foreseeable future. We're stuck, we're frustrated and we want things to improve, but really, the last of those has just felt more and more unlikely, and at least for me, I'm unsure if it's even possible considering what's damaged.

[REPORTED]Mouse cursor
Eihort replied to Coxy_99's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
+1:mad: -
Probably have a trigger that if an AGM flies over the perimeter of the airfield, spawn some mines on the runway and taxi ways. However, last I saw, a lot of mines tends to lead to a client crash.

A-10 has no radar. What you're looking at is the Radar Warning Reciever (RWR). However, your statement is true. You only see things on the RWR that are emitting a signal. Doesn't necessarily mean they're painting -you-, unless of course you get the much different sounding lock warning, then they're very much looking at you. Other jets, namely the Su-27 and MiG-29 have a passive sensor (IRST) that can pick you up and not give you any warning at all, but again, what you said is relatively correct. A fighter with radar will not see you with it if you are behind it.

Good luck though figuring out the switchology of the ECM pod. I can't find a good guide or decent instructions anywhere.
