  1. Honestly, I don't care about the release date. Let it be 1.2.5 if that results in a tweaked Huey or an extra campaign... I only criticise Belsimtek's way of communicating with the community if you compare it to any of the other 3rd party developers. Consider this: From all 3rd party projects the Huey is most likely going to be released first, yet we know the least about this product. A paradox? Can I please point this out without being called a whiner? I hope Belsimtek understands what I'm trying to say. I'm not trying to offend anyone nor am I calling for Belsimtek to hurry up. Please, don't understand my intentions wrong again. Now we will wait and hope that Belsimtek takes a bit of advice...
  2. Well they clearly suggested that the legal issues are no more. Now I'm not so sure... Anyway we don't know. Bad communication results in speculation and should be prevented at all costs... Example: We find highly anticipated pictures that were removed without mentioning what the actual situation is around this complete lack of media... Don't get me wrong, I am patient, but I'd like to know why I'm waiting and what I'm actually waiting for. Especially at the current sate of development...
  3. Quick question, I hope someone can answer: I will use the auto-updater later. I removed all my mods using JSGME but I'm not 100% sure if all the stock files are in place Should I first run a repair prior to auto updating to 1.2.3? Because I don't know what the reapir function does... Overwrite all modded files by stock files? Or is it just an automatic troubleshooter or something?

  5. You clearly missed my point. And rage is of course not literally... come on, it's no Call of Duty forum! I'm commenting on the way Belsimtek communicates with potential customers compared to other 3rd party developers. We have been asking for pictures a long time and there was a valid reason for Belsimtek not to release anything. Next thing they do is announce, or at least suggest that this obstacle is cleared. Now what really upset me is that we find 8 pictures that were there for a long time and they even manage to take that away without clearly stating why we are not allowed to see them yet. Perfectly fine, if the papers were not yet signed, but why remove every media we find while there is no known reason for the lack of media... It doesn't make sense... We'll see what happens...

I've read every update from EB in this thread. *Warning: Rage ahead* Now all was good untill one of the developers came in showing us a fully licensed product and effectively taking away the only reason why there was no WIP media available yet. So one would expect... But no! So people started to experiment themselves and this awesome product page was found only to be removed a couple of hours later... :mad:. So now EB asked for some pictures and I add my voice to this request. A closed news & announcements thread as mentioned in the quoted text is a good idea, but would require a developer to post media or status updates there. That doesn't seem to be this company's policy. Every update so far came after people started to get impatient (no wonder that this thread 'Any new info?!' was created and became by far the largest thread in this subforum). It took a lot of effort to extract information from EB or at least that's how it feels... I hope that the developers at Belsimtek finally wake up or find another acceptable reason to explain the lack of media. For example: our HQ was destroyed by a meteor. I would accept that without raising an eyebrow... *End of rage*
  7. I was about to open that page again... :mad: Now that everything is sorted with Bell Helicopters give me the other reason(s) why we don't get to see any media... Although I always fully understand delays or temporary lack of media and wait patiently for any news, I'm now starting to get a little dissapointed in the way Belsimtek treats potential customers. It's an highly uncommon and ineffective way of promoting your product. At the very least you can post the pictures that some of us have already seen... Good luck with tweaking the Huey and please consider my words. :cry:
  8. Very cool video! A different choice of music compared to Binary, GA or slamraamprod and I have to admit that this fast-paced mix of flying footage and music is an excellent choice!

  12. I always judge the launch zone myself using manual weapons mode. Also notice that the PVI-800 indicates wind speed in m/s. So 4m/s would be 8kts...

  14. Hi everyone, When I'm joining the server and finished loading the mission I immediately return to the server list where it sais 'connection interrupted'. Now there is an integrety check in place and I wonder what could be the cause of this: Mods: Devrim's KA-50 rotor sounds (Changes sounds and sound definition files) KA-50 English cues (Changes indictaion textures and cockpit scripts) Radio chatter (changes squelch sound) Sun & Sky fix (by Mustang and PeterP. Textures and ME theme only) Ricardo KA-50 HD cockpit + Ebs' blue exterior mod (Can't be the problem right?) KA-50 JTAC and AWACS (unreleased version 1.3, changes kneeboard textures, R828.lua (cockpit script) and comm.lua. Also changes NATO.lua and adds some new sound files.) So why can't I join...? Any ideas?

  19. I can confirm this issue. But it appears most of the time though... I can remember not seeing it while doing a quick mission, starting in the air.
  20. Now I suppose you know but just in case. JTAC is bound to NATO or USSR, not red or blue. A line from me_action_db.lua, which defines all the advanced waypoint actions, filters out the FAC tasks for USSR units because of the following line: verifyGroupCapability = isWesternCountry After commenting this line out you can actually assign an advanced waypoint task like 'FAC - engage group' to a Russian ground unit in the ME... Oh btw: V1.3, which I am using for over a month now will be still be released with V1.2.3. If only I knew that 123 was going to be delayed by more than one month in december... So sorry guys... fixes and updated manual as soon as ED got V1.2.3 right...

I was able to add the FAC waypoint actions, callsigns and frequencies for Russian units. Although in theory everything was right, I still couldn't get the JTAC to answer my call. I gave up after an entire day of trying to get it working...
  22. I think your Abris = Shkval? Now put the PVI in Edit mode and make an empty TGT point. Turn on the Shkval and find a target. Now designate the target as if you would make a datalink. The coordinates appear in you PVI so press enter and there is your TGT point with coordinates.
