  1. Mhh I think this is more JTAC related. I remember having the same issue in an A10C mission I've made. I'm waiting with the release of V1.3 untill DCSW 1.2.3, which was already announced. In case it is not compatible anymore I can fix it for V1.3 so I we won't get lost in all the versions...
  2. Was just watching a replay and felt the need to revive my thread. Apparently I am not the only one to report this for DSCW 1.2.2... Dear ED, I appreciate all your efforts and DCSW and the modules are heading in the right direction. But please fix this bug that was introduced with the first beta of DCS World. It has been more than six months now. Six months a known bug and no fix? Thank you.
  3. I think it is a relevant question for the future DCS version...
  4. Pilots always walk around their plane before flight. It's functional :)
  5. Can't get it to work. Commented it out Removed if - then statement Used an alternative condition that was true Used an else statement with the same action Tried If not Nothing. WTF? :(
  6. Cool! So basicly it was never an issue?
  7. Good :) One small thing: Can I include your pilot notes in the mod v1.3? You will be honourably mentioned in the manual and install notes. And how did you get the IR pointer to work. Thought you had some kind of trick for that. Maybe someone else if it wasn't you.
  8. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94966&page=5 Not your fault... Behaviour of my tracker does not change when HMS is on. Can't help with that...
  9. TrackIR / Freetrack / FaceTrackNoIr is a must for being effective in combat. Or maybe I am spoilt. It greatly enhances your SA (Situational Awareness). I'm using FaceTrack. It is free and a $10 webcam does the job. Same for freetrack but you need to modify the webcam.
  10. @Sholtz CA is Combined Arms. Human players are smart (most of them). I myself killed many hovering KA-50's with the optical guided SA-19 missile. If they had moved I would have been far less succesfull... So staying in a hover too long is not a good idea!
  11. I actually changed the stock 1.2.2 comm.lua but it didnt seem to make any structural difference in the file. Apparently there was a change over the v1.2.0 comm.lua after all... I will keep the file above in that post untill I release v1.3 next weekend. Thanks for testing!
  12. Very strange. I was able to reproduce it and 'fixed' it for me without changing anything. I've only been moving some files around. That's it. Or maybe I cant remember what I did because it's 1 AM... Someone please try and report back to me. I was just requesting NVG and turbogear in the cold start Mozdok mission with succes. If it works then V1.3 is on the way. With some manual and installation updates. comm.lua
  13. And does the same thing happen in multiplayer and in my JTAC training mission? Can you start a night mission and change to HMS? Currently dont have KA50 installed. Will check out myself during next weekend... EDIT: Ebs you were talking about a fix for the IR pointer lately. What was it again? I can take a look at it too then. Oh and Ebs you can try to set the NVG pitch to 0.429203673 that will work!
  14. Before flying: - Make sure you know the enemies you will face and make sure that you know the abilities of your enemy's material. - Make sure you know the hostile area. You can also mark a hot zone in your ABRIS using the draw function. When entering a hostile area: - Make a few runs facing the enemy and scan the area with your shkval. If you have identified a threat, make a datalink and continue searching for more (dangerous) threats. Break off and fly back for another run. - If you have decent cover you can also hover in one spot and scan the area. NEVER stay in one place for too long. Especially when playing against CA people never stay in one position for longer than two minutes. - Watch for explosions, muzzle flashes, smoke trails and tracers. Use HMS to lock a position where the muzzle flashes, tracers or smoke trails come from. - Don't move too slow. Better make a few runs at high speed. If you're slow you make yourself an easy target for wire guided ATGM's. - NEVER ignore laser warnings if you don't know where it comes from. Break to the left or right and move fast and away in a zig-zag pattern. Laser guided or laser beam riding missiles are very dangerous and relatively agile compared to a wire guided ATGM's. - After you have acquired enough targets, start attacking them. Judge by their type and position which ones you want to engage first. Again I prefer to make attack runs and fire my missiles while moving forward and break off after 1 or 2 launches. You can also do this while in a hover but make sure there is enough cover. Keep searching between your attacks as new threats can emerge.
  15. Hey, Just noticed that my amount of posts went down from 63x to 61x. Went to find out why... Now it appears that a guy called zzzspace was banned! His sound modification threads dissapeared with him and so did my posts in those threads! WHY on earth was the best sound modder banned? Or am I looking at a temporary 'issue'? Hope to find out what happened...
  16. There is actually an MWS.lua file for the KA-50. I think it is activated when using game avionics. You can find this condition in the lua file. You will have to change the game avionics condition to non-game avionics and it will probably work. Then you will have the arcade style voice saying "Missile! 9 o'clock low!"
  17. Good. It's there. Will incorporate it in the main mod if I have enough improvements for a new version...

  19. Awesome!!!!!:thumbup::thumbup: Can I put it in the first post?
  20. Also adding my voice to this request...
  21. Hey Ebs thank you for this! I finally did a clean install to get rid of the uncontrollable amount of mods. Now with JSGME I'll never get lost! One thing: When I install a new module and I am going to install a mod that changes files in the folder of the new module, should remove all my mods and make a new snapshot? In other words: do you need to make a new 'default' installation if you add or remove any official modules?
  22. In theory I can add the same JTAC-enabling lines to the Russian equivalent of NATO.lua and it will probably work. You will have to use the American JTAC voice or make your own as some lines are missing for the Russian language. Don't have a lot of time so maybe someone else is willing to give it a try...:)
  23. Found a nice video. Probably already known but couldn't find it in a search...
  24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSfX6rCXL_k Just watched it. Quite nice. Can't believe it's really you... A warm welcome!
  25. So that works without changing the file structure whatsoever? The modder just needs to make sure that the mod files are in their respective folders? So it's like ctrl+c, ctrl+v of the mod folder like you normally do with the benefit of a good overview, no files that are actually placed or replaced in the original folders and easy removal? How does it handle conflicts? i.e. Two mods use an edited version of the same file, like my mod and zzzspace's sound mod that previously used an updated NATO.lua in v1.1? Good stuff! + Thanks Ebs...:smilewink:
